As landlords, we chose Carter and Willow because Danielle was more personable and showed a greater understanding and level of personalisation than other estate agents we met. Three months later, we are still very pleased with our decision and the service Danielle has provided. Communication has been excellent from day one, the tenant vetting process was smooth and the turnaround from initial meeting to getting tenants in the property was quick. I’ve just completed on what turned out to be a very stressful sale, but I honestly couldn’t have done it without the team at Carter & Willow. Before switching to them, I was with another estate agent for four months and had absolutely no progress, it was incredibly frustrating. From the moment Adam came round to value my property, I knew things would be different. He was professional, knowledgeable, and really reassuring. Then Adam Green handled the viewings and managed to sell my flat on the very first one, which was amazing! Sophie then took over the process, and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My partner and I went to see the property and were were told to email them if we are interested. We both really liked the property so we sent out email stating that we can move on 10th of January. I have received email from letting agency telling me that landlord is looking for someone to move in before Christmas and if we could move then that we would get the house. However, this was way too early for us as we still paying rent on current property we are renting. So I have emailed them letting them know that unfortunately we will have to pass on if landlord is not willing to compromise. 2h later I have received email from the agency telling me that they spoke to the landlord and landlord understands that we wouldn't want to move in before Christmas and all and its okay for us to move in on the 10th January. We were really happy to hear that people are understanding. So as asked we put down holding deposit and our refrancing has started. After 3 days all our references got cleared so I email agency to ask how we can proceed, for them to email me back that they tried to reach out to me in the morning even though no one called and if phone didnt get through they could have emailed me like they did so far. Anyways I call them up for them to give me this story how landlord went behind their back and arranged viewing with someone else and that landlord have decided to give the house to them instead because they can move in sooner. I was speechless. They lead us to believe that we found our next home before Christmas so we dont need to worry and we can enjoy Christmas fully, to just take it all away. I have turned away at least 5 other viewings because i thought I had a home! I have been scammed by other agencies like this 2 times before with the same story and I dont understand how this is even acceptable or legal. Where is their humanity? So yes I wouldn't recommend this agency because holding deposit doesnt hold the property for you. Their word is nothing as well.NegativeQuality, Professionalism
