Can’t thank Susan Dunn and Grant Hamilton at Thornton’s enough. A transaction that was held up by no fault of myself or them was dealt with smoothly and I was kept up to date at every stage. Thanks again guys.

TrustpilotThorntons Law
I give this reference/review in my capacity as the Chief Executive of Abertay Housing Association. Having worked with numerous solicitors over a period of not far short of forty years, I am in good position to comment on the solicitor and client relationship. I have worked with Thorntons for a number of years now and I have had cause to seek legal advice on a number varied matters; some very complicated matters, I may add. The people at Thorntons that I have dealt with over the years have always given very punctual and very sound advice on areas such as corporate, employment, contract and procurement, property and freedom of information and data protection. With regard to data protection, the Association had cause to seek advice on a very complicated and sensitive matter of some significance and the advice the Association obtained was punctual and flawless, to the extent that it attracted pertinent complimentary comments from the ICO. With my experience in mind, I would have no hesitation recommending Thorntons to another safe in the knowledge that they would receive timely and sound advice.

TrustpilotWe have sold 2 houses in a one year…
We have sold 2 houses in a one year period with Thornton's one our main residence the other a rental property we also owned. From the minute Poppy from marketing stepped inside our main home we knew we were in good hands. The positivity and reassurances she gave we had never experienced this over the years when selling property. From day one to completion we were able to speak to the correct person with any queries. The handling was so good we never even looked at another estate agent a year later when selling again due to primarily the level of customer service we had experienced.

TrustpilotWe Cannot Speak Highly Enough of Thorntons Solicitors
Long-distance purchase of property:Due to circumstance and distance, interaction was primarily via telephone and email; non-the-less, customer care was as fastidious and bespoke as if our dealings had been in person. What's more, every member of the organisation was well-informed enough to keep progress on track at every stage of proceedings, so there was never a delay or hiatus in any aspect.Thornton's excels in accessibility, attention to detail, the speed, efficiency and clarity of communication, and the excellent competency of their personable professionals. We shall certainly be entrusting future instructions to them.

TrustpilotFriendly, professional and knowledgeable
Having not moved house for over 30 years we were looking for a Company to guide us through the process of selling two properties in England and buying one in Scotland. Also we had some complicated wills to review and update. We decided on using a Scottish company and contacted several in the Cupar area. A friendly receptionist from Thorntons LLP (Cupar branch) phoned us back immediately to explain the process and a solicitor had been in touch before the end of the day. Once we had explained our requirements we received detailed quotes for the proposed services. These arrived within a few days and proved to be very accurate when we settled the accounts at the end of the process.Over a period of about ten months we had contact with several solicitors and every one of them could not have been more helpful or professional. In addition they were all very friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. Their expertise also shone through when there were tricky issues to deal with.I have nothing but praise for the way Thorntons LLP have dealt with our needs over the past few months and would recommend them without reservation.

TrustpilotWork injury
I required legal advice regarding an injury at work. After looking on line for a reputable company, I went to the local office where I live who then took down the details that I needed legal advice on.After a very short period I was contacted by Thorntons legal department which dealt with the matter I needed advice on.From that first conversationI had with them, they talked me through the procedures that would be involved going forward .The experience I have had with Thorntons is the professionalism they have shown and in my case a very satisfied result and would not hesitate to use them again .
