Steven Drake assisted with the sale of my property in England, and subsequent house purchase in the Dundee area. These transactions spanned across 14 months: it was a great help that Steven was qualified in both English and Scottish conveyancing. The process was much less stressful than it might otherwise have been. He was consistently responsive to queries, and alert to any minor discrepancies, which were dealt with before they could become issues.

From the very beginning I found Allison to be professional and helpful. So noted my concerns and brought to light a couple of things she had concerns about. She was very supportive of my circumstances and kept me involved in what was going on via emails and phone conversations. Phone discussions were always backed up with a email. My only problem is that the team on the other side of the office let me down. I needed someone to represent me with a trust fund and although details were passed over no one has contacted me from Thorntons yet, despite several request. On the home selling side I would definitely recommend using Thortons Properties.

Absolutely fantastic service yet again for our house purchase from Teresa at Thorntons. Our solicitor in the South of England was shocking, thank god for Thorntons. Fast to respond, gets answers for you fast, very professional and actually picks up the phone to you unlike many solicitors. Have used this firm twice now and will continue to use them as and when we need to. Can't rate them enough

I can't rate Thorntons highly enough!My solicitor, Katherine, couldn't have been more helpful. This was my first time buying a property in Scotland and she guided me through the whole process and answered all my questions. Even the daft ones.What really set Thorntons apart for me was their communication. When I've bought or sold property in the past, getting a response from a solicitor was like pulling teeth. In fact, I can't recall anyone ever having a positive thing to say about the legal aspect of the home-buying process. But Thorntons made it painless.

Excellent service from the very beginning, Mr Andrew Kirkwood is a very experienced operator in the Edinburgh market, his advice and support when making big financial decision was vital to us securing our property and all with a three-week window. Miss Ella Killen knowledge was also essential with all other conveyancing issues we had throughout the buying process. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorntons Law when you are in the market for buying a property.
