Without fail the WORST experience ever

Without fail the WORST experience ever. They never respond at all, we still don’t have a second set of keys despite moving in five months ago, plenty of things on the contract not fulfilled by them and then have the nerve to contact us out of the blue claiming we are short on rent despite this being completely their doing. Utterly useless and unprofessional and will actively avoid them and encourage everyone else I know to do so. Please just avoid this useless organisation.

We are happy with the service we got from this agency. Many other Agencies we called they were mostly unresponsive and I had to chase them a lot if they have a good property listed. We liked one property on rightmove and called these people (Streets Ahead), and talked to Katraielle Grant, she nicely explained some good options as per our requirements, and she is staying in touch throughout the process, this is something we liked the most. The agency also put good quality video recording of the properties, it also helped us to shortlist the house quickly.

2 holding deposits taken per house. Renters Beware!

Would advise renters to avoid if possible, despite it not being allowed they take 2 holding deposits, draft tenancies and references for the same property. Communication was good up until they had my money then they were absolutely awful and weren't straightforward. I was reassured that as I had paid the holding deposit, signed the draft tenancy and passed the referencing the property would be mine to move in into so giving notice to my current landlord made sense...to then being told there were 2 of us that paid the same money and this was standard practice for them as its not illegal so I shouldn't have given notice. The actual staff are polite enough when you actually speak to them but their integrity and actions are awful and immoral.

Bad Experience

My experience with Streetsahead from the start was poor. Prior to moving into the property, the agent informed me that the parking space was for my car, however, after moving into the property, the other tenant informed me that the parking space was for his car. I informed the agent and landlord of the situation and both the agent and landlord advised me to sort it out with the other tenant and my car mirrors were smashed twice when parked on the major road. The staff also refused to give me a copy of my signed tenancy agreement, hence a complaint was made to the management and the issue was dealt with promptly.I moved out of the property after 2 years, cleaned the property and hired a cleaner, then requested for my rent deposit.The agent came back and informed me that the landlord has informed that he would be deducting from my deposit as the property was uncleaned after I had left. I contacted the landlord and he informed me that he was not aware of the the deduction and advised me to contact Streetsahead. However, I had taken a video of the property prior to handing over the keys and the property was clean and this will be dealt with legally. The two staff I had dealt with at the Purley branch were so rude and unprofessional.Please becareful of the information provided by staff.

Falling wall

The agency advertised a flat, showed to us, and we signed a rental contract. Then about two months AFTER moving in the landlord informed us that the property had a significant structural damage - one of the walls was, according to him, at risk of falling out (yes, wall falling out...believe it or not..). And here's a very important point - the condition of the the wall has not changed since the viewing/contract signing/moving in; and there was no new examination or anything; it turned out that the examination took place well before the property was advertised. Here's a quotation from one of the emails the landlord sent AFTER us moving in - '...until the wall is strengthened... [i.e. fully removed and re-built] '... cannot ensure that the window will not fall out and cause serious injury to anybody in the vicinity...' . So it seems to imply that the property was in an emergency condition when it was rented out, which is inappropriate and possibly illegal. Perhaps it's more of the landlord's fault than the agency's - that I don't know, I'm just stating this fact. In any case, the agency should probably take (some) responsibility for what it's advertising / renting out... Btw, when we moved out a year later, the wall was in exactly the same condition, and the new advertisement from the agency was not mentioning the issue in it at all...

Trust worthy

We searched for our first ever house/flat for more than six months with other agencies. All of them have problems. Streets ahead found very beautiful nice and clean flat with gas cooker and allocated parking space for us as per our requirements and even after that they helped us signing the contract and waited for the final payment as we were delaying for some family reason. Selling my house through Streets Ahead My experience of selling my house through Streets Ahead has been 100% positive. They managed to get me a very acceptable offer within a week of taking on my property and I have now exchanged contract five weeks later. They let me without a place to sleep and with a huge financial damage

Cameron Alexander from StreetsAhead has been 3/4 weeks promising a house. He gave me a contract, took full deposit and 1st rent. They helped me to move the utilities accounts to my name and everything. I bought furniture to an entire house.At the moment to enter the house, they realised that the landlord was not aware of any of this.They let me on the street, with a house of furniture, without a place to sleep and said "it is not my problem".I am looking for legal advise on this.
