We use Streets ahead's tenant finding and property management services with a hope things will be taken care of. The unexpected charge, lack of communication, unauthorised work and complaints ignored by Streets ahead have been huge disappointment to us. The hours spent on going through expenses we were charged every time to ensure things are correct just added more work and stress on us.

She called me on the 3rd December and offered me the opportunity to view the property the same day, explained how the process will be should the landlord chose me as the preferred tenant. After been chosen as the preferred tenant, Nailah Cave was communicating with me throughout the process, on the 14th December I got a call from her that I'm all cleared from the reference company Goodlord. Our experience with Streets Ahead started off positive as the letting agent George was very enthusiastic and friendly. However, the property management team have let us down completely.On our move in date we found that the oven was infested with mouse droppings. The engineer they had contracted to come out to fix the stove literally cursed when he saw how much faeces was in there. It took the landlord three months to replace that oven - all he could tell us was that the oven he ordered wasn’t in stock. We’ve asked for a receipt to prove that he ordered it straight away, as is his legal obligation, and we got radio silence.The flat also has a horrific mould problem, to the point where our health has been compromised. When we went to our property manager about this (our third property manager in 9 months), we were assured that she took mould very seriously and would deal with the problem. She came round with the landlord, opened all the windows (including one that you would have to crawl on top of my bed to open) and left. Despite an independent construction worker telling us that this mould was 100% caused by structural issues and that vents needed to be installed, Streets Ahead and our landlord believed that this was due to us not ventilating the flat ourselves. We were then informed that our landlord would not be renewing our contract.So in short, they allowed our landlord to leave us with an oven filled with mouse droppings and a flat infested with mould. They do not care about tenants. Don’t rent with Streets Ahead if you care about your health.

GoogleI had a very disappointing experience with this agency. After signing the tenancy agreement, completing referencing, paying the deposit, and receiving verbal and written confirmation of a move-in date, I was informed just one day before moving that there was an issue with the property.
Despite repeatedly checking in throughout the week, I received no updates. My wife and I had already packed, taken time off work, and even removed our names from our previous accommodation. The lack of communication, last-minute cancellation, and poor handling of the situation caused significant stress and inconvenience. Literally we have no place to stay.
I would advise others to be cautious and ensure they receive a fully signed contract and clear confirmation before making any commitments.

We found a great place to rent through them with minimal effort. Emma and Enzo were great to help us out in finding and securing the perfect home for us. They were quick in responding to all our queries and made sure that we were taken care of when they were out of office. Property management after renting, however, is quite slow which is handled by their other branch. It could be improved to make things and communication easier between the tenant and the landlord. A few things were not checked properly and one of our appliances caught fire in the first few days which was life threatening. We haven't heard anything from property management even after filing a query into it. Great for renting, not so great for property management.
