TrustpilotAn extended track record - landlady overseas
Stirling Ackroyd have been letting my apartment in Russell Square since I left the UK, five years ago. Prior to that, letting the apartment through other channels, proved awkward with extended void periods. (I don't think it's the easiest 'sell', with distinctive decor and limited storage.) Stirling have always managed to let it quickly and efficiently with virtually no down time. It's quite extraordinary. These guys are a slick, well-oiled machine. I had thought that Stirling mainly dealt with commercial property but they clearly have an excellent handle on residential property, certainly in my part of London. They clearly also have good systems in place so balls are rarely dropped. Each department does its job well. I don't naturally gravitate towards large businesses, but being on the other side of the world, in a different time zone, dealing with a well-organised and well-resourced agency, makes an enormous difference.

Liam managed our sale brilliantly. He is polite, sharp and really understood what we wanted and helped us to get this potentially quite stressful process done with ease.As is often the case there were unavoidable delays and hassles related to our chain and searches etc, but Liam dealt with all of this very well and despite being in a very long chain, we have now sold and brought our new place without any sleepless nights.Well done stirling ackroyd. We'll be back and would recomend you to freinds.

Very impressed with response to boiler breaking down just before Christmas. Arran Southern was extremely responsive and arranged for engineers to attend asap. He was very attentive to the requirements and the firm selected was also very professional. Arran also checked on progress and we were very happy with the support provided.

We are an estate agent in Bristol and had a buyer struggling to sell their apartment in North London through another estate agent in order to make their move to Bristol. We referred them to Stirling Ackroyd through Joe Robinson and they were immediately very helpful and pro-active in finding them a buyer and making the move work. Joe and Darren had great energy with the sale and impressed us and their client with their regular updates and approachable manner throughout the sale. Stirling Ackroyd are clearly a great outfit, who know the market very well and have a knack for communication and a high level of service. We look forward to working with them in future and would not hesitate in recommending them again to Bristol/London or London/Bristol home movers!

TrustpilotTerrible Experience, Will never use again
Absolutely terrible service for tenants, avoid using Stirling Ackroyd completely if you can, their tenancy contracts are made to benefit/safeguard landlords and themselves and exploit tenants. We had a terrible experience dealing with them, the nightmare stories you hear about estate/letting agents came true in this case for us. Viewed a flat with them, made the offer, got accepted a month in advance of move in date, made the payments they asked for and then no word from them for 3/4 weeks with us chasing to understand whats going on. We were told they have a queue of processing contracts based on priority. Then 1 week before the actual proposed move in date after an email demanding a response they come back to us with a draft contract heavily in favour of the landlord which we disputed and ask for a compromise and were told that nothing will be changed and that if we dont agree to their terms we can "forget about our deposit". These guys are one of the worse type of agents we have come across so far in our experience. They used a delaying tactic to force us into signing a contract, we will never be using them again and will strongly encourage all friends and family to avoid them like the plague.

Our property manager James is a star. He's super responsive, always willing to help and he always tries to accommodate our needs in the best way possible. Left a review on here, Amber asked me to email her to arrange return of my deposit. Emailed 10th September, but no response. Not sure why you'd publicly ask me to email if you are just continuing to ignore me?I moved out of my flat 2.5 MONTHS ago, still no deposit returned and no response from anyone at Stirling.Absolutely disgraceful service.
