Do not use

Used the survey to purchase a property recently and they simply did not do their job. The house was full of damp and mould, the interior walls were rendered instead of plastered and the surveyor stated he did not see any of this. I have had 4 damp experts all telling me to chase up this problem with the surveyor as it should have been spotted. They have been completely unhelpful and do not participate in any responsibility. I do not believe they even viewed the house to survey it. 100% do not recommend.

In all my dealings with members of their Lettings team I have found them to be prompt, reliable, polite and friendly. I would especially like to acknowledge Clive Martin who has been the point of contact as my Property Manager since 2012. As I live overseas, it is particularly important that I have someone that I can rely on and trust to have my best interests at heart. Over the past nine years, Clive’s ongoing assistance and support has been invaluable. Clive always deals with any queries or concerns promptly and he efficiently resolves any problems that may occur. Big shout out to Clair and Jordan regarding the sale of my property, at times I felt I was going to have a nervouse breakdown, and the solictors drove me up the wall they was so slow. If it wasnt for the help I got from Claire and Jordan I would've pulled out, any anxiety I had they was at the end of the phone carming me down. Sophie who dealt with sales progression was also a great help. if I was ever going to sell my new house I'd let Claire and Jordan handle it for me 100%

Buying and selling has been such a stressful process in the past, but the experience this year with Stirling Ackroyd has been a breeze. I was contacted by Heidi in head office, Heidi offered me a valuation and shared with me factual statics. I was so grateful for Heidi’s advice. Before Heidi called I had not planned to sell my property. I have since achieved a great value for the sale of my flat and bought the perfect house. My house hunt in Croydon is proving extremely challenging, due to high demand and limited budget. Darren has been absolutely brilliant, and is going above and beyond to help me find the right home for our family. He understands what we are looking for, and is always honest and upfront about the area and upsides and downsides of various properties. Croydon is new to me, so he has been invaluable at giving me advice on various areas that would suit us more than others. And most importantly, Darren doesn't do any of the 'hard sell' that estate agents have a rep for. He is straightforward and honest and out of all the estate agents I have been using, he is the one I trust implicitly to find us our new home.

Knows the Central London Rental Market Well and Very Professional!

I have used Stirling Ackroyd to let and manage my properties in Clerkenwell and Borough for the past 16 years. Stirling Ackroyd knows the local rental market very well and vacant period between lets have been very short - it can be be matter of hours or at most a day.A big shout out to Clive Martin in the Property Management team who has managed my properties in both Clerkenwell and Borough all this time. Issues relating to the property raised by tenants are dealt with professionally and the response time is fast. I have never had a tenant complain about the response time from Clive and his team. Important to have a managing agent who is very experienced, familiar with the best practices and professional.Important as a landlord that managing agent such as Stirling Ackroyd manages all issues relating to the property with the tenant professionally and efficiently. I am happy to say Clive and the Stirling Ackroyd have been excellent.

Excellent! I recently spoke to Georgia from your Lettings department regarding my two bed property, that I am looking to put on let out. It is my first time letting out my property and I did not know what to do or expect. However, Georgia from the Lettings team was extremely knowledgeable about the what the whole process entails and was extremely patient with me as I had a lot of questions. This by far has been the best experience with any estate agent I have dealt with. My property had been on the market for 7 months, and previous agents were unable to get it sold. I was recommended Stirling Ackroyd by a work colleague. I got in touch and dealt with Ashley at head office. What a pleasure! She was polite, professional and knew her job as well as the market, inside out! Her advice and knowledge was a great benefit and I can not thank her enough! Firstly where to begin... Marty at head office has been fantastic following my recent valuation enquiry for my property. worst agents ever stay away

I shall never rent through Stirling Ackroyd again, this company only thinks about two things protecting themselves and the landlord. it is disgusting the way they treat you; they do not care about you at all. fence down nothing done for nearly three months, had items damage in the garden as we lived next to an alleyway. bathroom shower was leaking, downstairs ceiling was going mouldy, in fact it was that bad we had to call council out in the end. we left 7 months later leaking shower and mould was the same and they even let the new people move in with lots of promises. do not rent off Stirling Ackroyd, you will be very sorry you did. yes, they should win a prise for worst estate agent out there. They threaten you if I stopped paying the £2800 a month rent, this is their behaviour.

Avoid Hayley Evans

I was shown around a property in south west London by an agent called Hayley Evans. It was a truly awful experience from the moment I arrived. Even though I was objectively jovial and friendly, she made me feel completely unwelcome. She followed me around like a ghost. She didn't say a single word or offer any kind of commentary on or information about the property. Her presence and demeanour were extremely icy. When she deigned to answer my questions, it was only with quick nods and shakes or one word answers. I have no idea why this person is in a public-facing job or how she even got there. Since, however, I have read several investigative articles in credible newspapers about how agents make certain 'types' of people feel unwelcome in order to dissuade them from making offers. Avoid this awful company.
