GoogleI was told with a straight face that “most if not all people give notice in their current residences before looking for a new one.” What?!? This was naturally after I attempted to give them money to hold a house when I wasn’t ready to move straight away (I needed 30 days). The house is of course still in the market after more than 3 months... So, fast turnover or no turnover is their zero sum game. Too bad those of us that are a little older have seen this sham many times before... Don’t want my money? - ok, no skin off my nose and I won’t be bullied, I am the customer. I would advise all others to steer clear also.

GoogleAppalling customer service, property manager seems to think its acceptable for the us, the current tenants, to remove dirty old chewing gum left by previous tenants on our own behalf even when this unhygienic and disgusting gum is in my newborn son's room. I have been forced into trying to attain a meeting with their managing director. Absolutely vile, especially after being conned into paying extra cleaning costs at our old property for issues that were already on the check in inventory. Dispicable company do not use!

GoogleAppalling service and treatment towards a young couple expecting their first child.. Take money for non existent repairs and will not fulfill their duties as letting agents to make their new home habitable. I am currently in talks with our family solicitors and will have a report drawn up detailing all the repairs needed to make this house a home. If I didnt have to put a star on this rating I certainly wouldnt. You should be ashamed.!!!!!!!

I live above one of their properties. They called me said they had a leak coming from my apartment, I paid out money for a plumber and gave them the report WITH PHOTOS. The report said that there was no leak in my apartment. They have refused to reimburse MY money. They have failed to provide a report about the "leak" into the one below me, the tenants had caused the damp by not using their heating or extraction. Unprofessional and immature, ignorant. Disgusted with them to be honest. Won't be selling or renting my property out through them as I don't trust them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

GoogleI can only speak very highly of Martin and Co who fully managed my last property, I was a tenant with them for two years. They were always quick to respond when there were any issues with the property and they subsequently got the problems fixed by their team of experts. I have to commend them also on a speedy settling of the deposit repayment after taking a very minimal payment for the things I left them to do as I underestimated the task of moving out. I can't say how very fair they were dealing with this matter and how pleasantly surprised I was. I wouldn't hesitate to use Martin & Co again in the future. Many thanks guys. Trevor Johnson.

Wish I could put less than 1 star. My sister (whom I am writing this for) has been a tenant of a property of theirs for nearly 3 years. We highlighted a number of issues when she first moved in, which Martin and Co were informed of immediately, that have never been sorted out. More dangerous issues such as cracked light switches, exposed nail heads on stairs and subsequently a broken bathroom extract fan which had shorted to earth due to excess moisture from generally poor ventilation within the property. She is expecting to move out within a couple of months and won't be surprised if they take every opportunity to revoke as much of her deposit as possible. They themselves never fixed any of the issues raised, which some could potentially kill someone, when they say they will contact the landlord to get them to sort out the issues, it never ever happened. Would NEVER recommend using them. Sell or rent a house yourself before using them. Update for Martin and Co. UK Ltd: The branch is Crewe.
