We have recently moved from our house just outside Cranbrook where we bought up our children, and downsized to a house in a village. We would not have found our new wonderful house (writing from the sunny garden now) without the help and support of Mandy who works in Jackson Stops in Cranbrook. She was patient, hugely supportive (and even offered to drop us food during lockdown!) and found us our perfect house before it had even been put formally on the market. Rupert was also hugely helpful and responsive. The whole team were professional, calm and we would thoroughly recommend their services to anyone who is thinking of moving house.

I was downsizing and was selling on my own & with my last move being over 25 years ago I wasn’t up to date with all the policies and procedures now involved but their communication was excellent, and they were very patient. Alice Creighton from Jackson - Stops visited my property last month, she was on time , polite and professional . Alice accompanied me around the property and listened to the problems I had . I felt very supported as she took photos and listened. After Alice’s visit I was quickly contacted by the relevant professionals to complete the works, I was really impressed at how quickly this was arranged . Our objective last October when we approached Jackson-Stops to market our property was to achieve a sale as soon as possible. Market conditions were not favourable and even deteriorated over the winter months. Sadly 1 star. My experience with them is they are dishonest and will work within legal frameworks whilst lying to you. Bought a non primary residence in the Cotswolds with them recently, was told the oven was an everhot.. it’s not, it’s a smeg. Was told the property had previously been under offer at the same price.. it hadn’t, it was 150k lower, found out through severe googling this week. Was told the house had been surveyed and ready to go (we of course carried out our own) and lots of issues came up they knew about and didn’t flag. MOST ashamedly, they accepted out of asking and then AFTER doing all of the background checks and mortgage offer etc etc etc they told us that the house had an outstanding land issue (known about by them months before offer was made) that required hundreds of thousands of pounds to be paid to resolve and had no immediate timeline.
