Excellent Service

Watts & Morgan provided an efficient, helpful and sensible approach when we bought a home from them. Ffion accompanied us to the viewing and then progressed the sale once our offer was accepted. Ffion was conscientious, kept us up to date and liaised with the other parties involved. Her friendly and positive attitude was outstanding, as was her attention to detail. This was particularly helpful as our daughter was buying the property whilst living in Bristol. Thanks for everything and in all honesty the world needs more people like Ffion.

My husband and I had a great experience using Watts and Morgan Bridgend. It was the first time we sold a property and from the beginning, everyone at Watts and Morgan were supportive and explained everything so clearly. Lewis came to valuate our property and spent time explaining the process clearly to us. Once we agreed to work with Watts and Morgan, each viewing was communicated fantastic and we gained valuable feedback each time. When we eventually had a sale agreed, Michelle was fantastic in discussing next steps and keeping us updated throughout the process, even when it dragged on a bit with solicitors delays! I can't thank the team in Bridgend enough for their professionalism and support during this process!!

Outstanding. I 100% recommend Watts and Morgan.

I don’t think anybody is a real fan of estate agents and some of our recent interactions with different ones have been less than enjoyable….. so dealing with Tom and Dan at Watts and Morgan was a breath of fresh air. Not only were their rates reasonable and substantially less than the ‘bigger’ estate agents, they were much nicer to deal with than the so called larger companies too, they were professional, efficient and incredibly helpful. Having used several different estate agents over the years and having only experienced good service a couple of times, it was extremely pleasing to feel like we were being looked after every step of the way. Communication was spot on and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the house we’ve just purchased was via a different estate agent and the difference in the quality of service is huge. It just highlighted how lucky we were to have gone with Tom and the team. Thank you to everyone at Watts and Morgan, we will definitely use you again in the future and I strongly suggest that anybody reading this gives them a go too.

Not the exciting experience, buying a home should be…

I can’t tar the whole company with the same brush, but unfortunately our experience with Jayne, who handled our purchase, was disappointing from start to finish. The property was significantly overvalued, which caused unnecessary delays in the process. From that point on, communication became increasingly frustrating. Emails often came across as sarcastic and pressuring, to the extent that we ended up asking our financial advisor to deal with them on our behalf just to avoid the tone. What stood out most was the lack of professionalism and basic customer care on completion day. After purchasing a half-a-million-pound home, we expected at least a simple “congratulations” or some acknowledgment of what should have been a really exciting milestone. Instead, we were handed a set of keys with no enthusiasm or courtesy, and told the rest would be posted. That was it. Buying a home is a big moment, and this one felt completely flat due to the lack of care and communication. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t choose to use them for any future property sales.

A breath of fresh air

I would without any hesitation recommend Watts & Morgan. Every step of the way, the communication was spot on. From the first interaction with Tom & Dan they were professional and polite and a pleasure to deal with. They provided timley feedback after every viewing and made the whole process very straight-forward. After a sale was agreed, we had a weekly update from Sarah, who kept everything moving forward through to completion. I would just like to say that as useful as these platforms can be unfortunately anyone can post a totally one sided review which can be hugely damaging to a business and defamatory to an individual. Unfortunately Jemma isn't sharing the whole story. They caused huge delays in the process, were obstructive, significantly delayed the process and held our client, the vendor, to ransom at the last stage for a price reduction. Sadly other parties can cause a transaction to be unnecessarily stressful and behave in a very inconsiderate and selfish way. Their behaviour was disappointing to say the least. As I am now retired I can respond in this way and say that Watts and Morgan are a professional and highly regarded family run business of many years standing. These buyers sadly were badly behaved.

Leaving one star review, dreadful estate agents

Leaving one star review but woud be zero if I could! Highly recommend staying away from this estate agent, have no interest in the clients/seller, all they want is a quick sale. The agent who came to value our house, I nearly asked her to leave. She had no respect for my home, didnt offer to take her shoes off had a quick look round, rudly under valued my home to the point I felt she was mocking me for rejecting her valuation. Spouted out nonsense that if I try to market it at what I want the mortgage company will want to come in and have a look around, went on to use stamp duty as a hurdle even though I was willing to cover this cost and first time buyers are actually are exempt. Decided to go with a proper estate agent, house sold within 24 hours to a first time buyer and £25k more than what Watts & Morgan said i could possibly scrape to get! We've sold several houses over the years and Watts & Morgan are by far the worst I've ever dealt with

If I could give these people zero stars, I would!, but won't allow ! I had a person living next door to me for four long years! It's was absolutely hell from day one that the person moved in. Cannabis coming into our house, police there all the time, the person was arrested 4 times, sectioned 3 times, has been abusive to all the neighborhood. It's only that this person who was continuously intoxicated with cannabis assaulted a neighbour was finally evicted. He had a six month eviction notice but nothing was done. Watts & Morgan did nothing in the 4 years of us constantly telling them about this abusive person via hundreds of emails. Give this company a wide birth, totally unprofessional people to deal with. They put my family through hell! They didn't even check this person out before being housed, the same problems were happening 10 years ago with the cannabis smell with this person. Total waste of time! All they were interested in is getting their money!!! No duty of care to any of the neighborhood!! No quality of life for any of the neighbours for the last four years. Couldn't even sit in your own garden without being intoxicated with cannabis fumes, or worse still, abuse and violence!! Keep well clear of Watts & Morgan of Cowbridge!!!! Total Amateurs!!!! 👎👎👎👎

I cannot talk highly enough about the service I recently received from Watts and Morgan in Cowbridge. I asked a few estate agents to value my house when I was looking to sell and Lewys has brilliant, advising on how to maximise value but also being realistic about what would be achieved. Whilst the property was on the market, I dealt with Lewys, Matt and Laura - all were very professional and responsive to keep me informed with how the sale was progressing. Firstly, it really helped that office works so tightly together, with everybody well informed on the properties on their books. As with most properties there is a lot of back and forth and the response rate on this was fantastically fast, always someone at the end of the phone (definitely the strong link in the chain). They understand the market, transaction and legal process intricately, and on many occasion gave top notch advice on this that you would struggle to find elsewhere. With the help of Richard and his team, were able to complete on a transaction that might have otherwise been a lot harder had we not gone to Watts & Morgan. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for professional and highly qualified estate agency.

Really helpful and efficient agents

We sold our house through Watts and Morgan in Bridgend and were really impressed with their efficiency, knowledge and kindness. The market was very buoyant then fell to completely flat during the time we were trying to sell. We had two sales fall through, one the day before exchange. Throughout, Talia was really helpful with her sound advice and she and Rebecca pulled out all the stops for us. We especially thought their communication was excellent, we always got thorough feedback on viewings very quickly and they were always easy to contact, which made the whole process much less stressful. Jane was also really helpful in progressing our sale, in constant touch with the buyer and their solicitor and always letting us know what was happening.
