Stayed for 2 weeks as a volunteer for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Ideal location with a Tesco Express underneath and easy walk to the bus station and and 17 minute walk to the train station. Well maintained and clean bedrooms and 24/7 manned security with access control, felt safe and the staff were very helpful. The onsite laundry worked a treat and I appreciated the onsite bike store. thanks for a wonderful and memorable 2 weeks !

Amazing people, incredibly helpful and cooperative. I stayed in a flat for a year during my study and never had a difficulty with the services. Special thanks to Amrita.

I have lived with FutureLets and worked with hem as well. I have enjoyed my stay and work very much. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The community is very diverse and inclusive, the Reslife program run by them is very engaging and entertaining. If I have to choose an accommodation I would definitely pick FutureLets.

Futurelets staff are not the nicest or the brightest bunch are they? Very rude and bad service and communication and when you want your £300 deposit back even though you had not fully signed in and completely full filled the contract they will always have this foolish excuse in where you as a student have already committed the contract in where by giving away your money? I've never found out how ridiculous idiotic futurelets really is. I'm glad most days they are getting called out for what they are and are getting mostly 1 star reviews. Says about their company doesn't it? They like to exploit their students. Especially postgraduate students. I'm glad I'm not paying a single rent this year because they have become greedy. Any student who is planning to use their service all I can say is go find alternative accommodation service. These people will just use you. No integrity whatsoever.

Bishopgate is a good accommodation. Close promixity to lectures but far from other accoms. Decently sized rooms compared to the others. Wish it had been ready it time for us at the beginning of the semester however but besides that, it was great

My experience with futurelets has been amazing. I recently had the pleasure of staying at BishopGate and it was truly an experience to remember. The staff at FutureLets were exceptional, providing top-notch service. They were always available to assist with any queries or requests, ensuring that my stay here nothing short of perfect.

I'm very disappointed in the way we have been treated and purely on the basis of us just being students. I believe for a company to be reputable it should be very clear how they treat customers especially as young students at Coventry university trying to settle into their new lives and being left with more problems in their new home. I have had nothing but issues with Futurelets throughout my time in a private rented accommodation during my second year and living at Bishopgate during my first year, that exploited more than 600 students in charging full fees, whilst having an unfinished accommodation, permanent building site in ‘new home’ and rude security. All futurelets wants to do is take money from students. I do not wish any other student to go through the issues that both myself and my house have been through. Please we wary and do not use Futurelets!

My son and his partner have moved into private accommodation for their second year at Coventry University. Their retainer started in August, with them moving early in September. In that month Future Let's failed to organise a second key. They moved in and the flat was filthy, with the previous tenant's hair everywhere, an old loofah in the dirty bathroom, the kitchen sink hadn't been cleaned. The fridge and oven were dirty, a kitchen tile had fallen off the wall... amongst other things. Future Lets told them it had been cleaned and when they received photos to prove otherwise they were not quick to act or apologise. It took me phoning for an apology to be issued in writing with a promise that they would not incur costs for cleaning when they vacate. A cleaner was offered, but only after they had started cleaning themselves (who would want to live amongst a stranger's dirt for even a day, especially in the current situation?) and nearly a week after moving in the maintenance person has not been in touch. This company are supposed to be introducing young adults into the world of private accommodation for the first time, but basic checks and routine cleaning aren't being done. They haven't had things like the boiler explained to them either, so had to understand how to get hot water. The company used Covid and human error as an excuse, but as this is such basic protocol for a letting agent I feel that it is not good enough and was compelled to leave a review so that other parents and students can be aware.

The accommodation is an excellent place to live. It is secure, lively and the staff is helpful and quick to deal with issues that arise. The ResLife team is also very open, welcoming and has helped me immensely in coming out of my shell and becoming more social.

Friendly and Cooperative Staff. Moreover, the community is amazing as it consists of Students only and you get to make some new friends. The facilities provided by future lets are amazing as well and not to miss the activities and trips they plan every now and then.

Very clever company, as They scam you with the cleaning prices after check-out, just with absurd figures for minimal work that has to be done on your room. Also the contracts are quite inflexible so if you are unlucky you may have to pay 3-4 weeks extra without actually staying there.

Lived in a private accommodation where there were rats, black mould, electric shocks resulting from the ventilator fan, the boiler would stop working every so often and I caught scabies resulting from the old and decrepit furniture. All of which remained unresolved through Futurelets’ irresponsibility and lack of care till the end of my tenancy. Not only was the house and furniture in disrepair when we received it but they have the cheek to charge £450 as cleaning fees after me and my housemates spent 4 days scrubbing the floors clean etc. The unfair and exploitative contract which dictates you dry clean all the furniture (as students who lives on morsels). Furthermore they throughly uncooperative for the 11 months I stayed there. My flat mate developed a cough from the damp in his room and yet there had been no compensation or even remorse from their side. I have been completely let down by their incompetence and disappointed by how a letting agents can do this to students. I compel anyone thinking about renting through Futurelets not to for your own physical and mental health.

I was a post graduate student and stayed only for a year with futurelets. The built quality, space, reception and other utility services were just perfect. Literally any complain about any repair was a email away and they would fix it in a week (usually in a day). The location of my accommodation the cycle works was 5 mins walks from university so it was very easy to commute. On the downside the guest policies are a little strict, the accommodation doesn't offer any cleaning services like some other accommodations apart from the conman areas, internet sometimes is a little iffy and lastly booking accommodation online via future lets can be a little confusing and you might experience inconsistency and delay from their booking team.

Avoid at all costs and find a agency that does not use the summer retainer scheme. They charge you one months rent to leave your belongings in the property over the summer and its not worth the money. During this summer retainer period is when cleaning and any maintenance work is carried out. Due to this I asked if someones belongings were to be damaged or taken who would be responsible? Their response was 'not ours, you should call the police if this happens'. You are better off paying for a storage unit and an agency who have better tenancy agreements.

Stay away! I have used future lets services during my first year at the university. Firstly it wasn't possible to rent room in a shared house since 16th of September (the day I have arrived to Coventry). I had to pay for the days that already passed.... Surprisingly this year when i tried to give this agency another chance I was told that paying for passed days is illegal... What is more, most of the staff is highly negligent. When the light in my bathroom stopped working I have replaced fluorescent light 2 times and it didn't help thus I thought that it might be a problem with the switch. The response that i get from futurelets was that replacing lightbulbs is the tenant's responsibility and i was told not to report it again.... At the end of my tenancy me and my flatmates have thoroughly cleaned whole house. It ended up being cleaned than it was when i moved in. Nevertheless £75 were taken from each of us. It felt like pure scam to get more money from students. One of us didn't accept that offer and after several months received his deposit back without any deduction... On the other hand this year when I wanted to see some houses before moving in my appointment was procrastinated because my time slot fit better to the people with higher budget who didn't book their appointment earlier. Hence I had to wait in their office another 40 minutes for the next viewing.... Luckily I was able to find accommodation in another agency which showed much more interest in their customers and much more respect. I feel like futurelets is using the fact that international students are afraid to use another agencies. Due to that, they know that they will always have customers no matter how much effort do they put in their work.

FutureLets are absolutely terrible, if you have problems with the house they could not care less. We had multiple issues with the house we rented through FutureLets and none of them were solved. When we moved in the sofa was broken as there was no padding at all... so if you sat on it you fell straight through basically... we reported this the day we moved in, didn't get fixed the entire time we were there and then we lost some of our deposit for a broken sofa... despite having told them multiple times. Broken sofa was the least of the concerns however, as the ant infestation which they failed to deal with with unbearable. FutureLets customer service is beyond terrible and it's a shame the University affiliate themselves with such a poor service. Use a private landlord... so much better as they actually care about the house!!! FutureLets = a Future Let Down

Terrible Company. If you have a problem expect it it take weeks to get fixed... our dishwasher never worked, my car was vandalised outside our property and took them over a month to provide me with CCTV footage (by that point it had been automatically deleted). Where we lived people took drugs outside, some trying to break in and even walking into our flat. Did not feel safe at all, especially after their response to me asking for CCTV footage. Charged £70 on our deposit for cleaning when our flat had been left spotless, and was very dirty we moved in, mould/damp in rooms. Maintenance staff are overrun as it seems only two work there for vast amount of properties they own.

I stayed in Godiva place which was a very nice building with great facilities. In my opinion, everything was great apart from the fact that staff would enter our flats when they pleased without notice. They would also come into ours rooms during the day to fix things or to do inspections, which was inconvenient. However, I do understand that these occurrences were all to either improve the quality of our stay or safety. In addition, in order to have overnight visitors, a form would have to me filled in (3 days prior to visitor staying) which would only allow the visitor to stay for 2 nights.

STUDENTS DO NOT GO WITH FUTURELETS! Possibly the least professional company i’ve ever dealt with, you have to contact them at least 10 times before they actually respond/reply to you and when they eventually do their service is so bad they probably can’t even help you with your question or problem (because it’s usually a problem when it comes to this company). When you’re paying this company obscene amount you’d at least expect them to be able do the basics right when it comes to customer service, however i think i’d rather have spent my money on a luxury sleeping bag and tent, at least i’d have less problems with that.

Called me acting on behalf of another company asking for a deposit on accommodation, later called by the official company (Unite Students) saying that i’d have to pay through them instead, another huge deposit that I can’t afford. So I called Future Lets the next day and they said it was up to Unite to call before they did in order to not pay out a deposit I didn’t need to. Complete scammers and will rob anyone they can, refunds will take 30 days minimum which is not acceptable either.

A terrible company. With absolutely terrible staff. Infact all the staff must be mad. They take advantage of students and think we won’t realise because we are young. They will try their absolute best to not refund your deposit despite leaving all their facilities in a good condition. Staff are rude and have no respect. JUST DONT USE THIS COMPANY, even if you’re first year in the university future let’s isnt the only option don’t be fooled. Look up other landlords in the area I guarantee you’ll have a better experience than me. AGAIN THE WORST COMPANY AND EVEN WORST STAFF. STAY AWAY!
