We stayed as volunteers for the Commonwealth Games at Singer Hall in the Administration Building, so in the half dozen flats above the reception/facilities. As we were there for such a long time it is not really possible to detail our experience other than to give a huge shout out to two people. The receptionist at Singer Hall, Tom was amazing and looked after the 3 of us perfectly so 5 Stars for him and then 5 Stars also goes to Manpreet Toor who works in the Future Lets office and was the one person singularly responsible for resolving all the questions we had about the bookings and where to stay in Coventry as Volunteers. She really was excellent and along with Tom deserves the highest praise.

Stayed at bishop and Godiva. Theyre really good, the rooms are a great size especially considering its student owned. Security is great. Not too overbearing but theyβre there if you need them at the same time. Futurelets is great! Their customer service is amazing and itβs easy to access them via phone or email for any enquiries!

Futurelets style themselves as being part of Coventry University by which you would expect, as a Landlord, to receive an exemplary service and the pick of the very best student tenants. That is far from my experience. All other Agents that I know of insist on full payment in advance for International students without UK-based guarantors and I assumed that Futurelets would be at least as cautious but they failed to do this and I was left with money owed when my Chinese tenant left during the pandemic - Futurelets did nothing to help me. They also decided to let my 5 bedroom property on a room-by-room basis and managed to secure just 1 single tenant for the year in a newly-renovated, high spec property. When I became completely disillusioned with them I decided to look after my properties myself and advised my tenants to pay their rent to me directly. Futurelets countermanded this instruction to my tenants and proceeded to deduct their fee even after I had dis-instructed them. I had to take them to Court to recover the commission they owed me and, further, was forced to instruct Bailiffs to collect the Judgment Debt when they failed to pay. I found that Futurelets do not provide an acceptable level of service for Landlords.

Incompetent people specially Kam Kaur/Uppal who handle things very badly. Our landlord Rajinder Uppal broke the contract several times including coming in our house without notice and not doing repairs and Kam Uppal didn't do anything about it and was with the Landlord's side who I presume her Husband or Dad ir something. She didn't even give me my full deposit for cleaning fees even tho the the house (45 Gulson road) was soo filthy before and i even sent picture evidence to futurelets that it was mouldy and filthy when i first came there but she ignore us and didn't let us speak. Do not do any business with these dodgy people. If i can only rate them 0 stars i would. absolutely disgusting

Pathetic money-minded organization, kept me pestering with emails to make an advance payment 2 months before the date prescribed in the student contract. They harass you with emails of fee due even if it is not, disrespecting you as if you're a freeloader. Better to check other accomodation providers nearby rather than blindly selecting this one. It was a mistake to choose them merely for the fact that Accomodation is University owned. No ethics on how you treat an international student.

Awful service and communication, the landlord of my property treated me unfairly by charging me for a parking space while letting another tenant use my space for free. Futurelets were indifferent and unwilling to help with this situation. They also refused to provide me with a reference when I tried to rent from another agency, first saying they needed proof of my ID, which I emailed, and then that I would need to collect it in person (some 90 miles away from my current address). This ludicrous 'policy' almost stopped me from being able to rent again. It's such a shame this company have most student properties in Coventry on their books, as it would really put me off ever returning to study due to not wanting to rent from them again. Coventry University is a wonderful place to study, sadly let down by this terrible agency.

They take advantage of students and dont do thier jobs properly, they are incompetent and are not a functional a company. USEING THEM IS MY BIGGEST REGRET!!!!! I would give them 0 stars if possible. There was a wasps nest in the house and told us we had to live with it and they could not remove it. Then they never fixed the boiler properly so it always malfunction leaving the house freezing in winter and showers ice cold. The installed the wi fi late, and my friend got told a dishwasher was available but broken and never fixed so it could never be used. They messed a different friends contract so that they were told they couldnt move in untill a month later when they a job at the start of that month so he baisically homeless when the job started. Then a week before he was supposed to move in he was told he can now move in because they kicked out the previous tenents before their contract was finished.

It is awful and disgraceful the rip-off that student go through with the University approved private agents. They charge ridiculous amount for agreement (minimum Β£200 non refundable from each student sharing a house) despite this being the same for all. Student are forced to pay rent to end of July when they would have finished by end of May / mid June. And they delay refund of deposit. Example Henry Estate agent. Absolutely disgraceful exploitation of student and the University is enabling this to happen

One star is too many....my daughter and her friends used Future lets. The house was shabby and falling apart. There was damp & mould throughout and Future Lets remedy was to give a bottle of mould cleaner! Office was disorganised. Getting deposit back was very difficult as they wanted to keep alot of the tennants money as they said it wasn't clean because of the mould. The landlord ended up paying some of the deposit for this, so they only lost a little, but the landlord had said previously that Future Lets always keep a large amount of the deposit!!! Would not use again and would definitely not recommend to anyone!

Being a tenant, I have had a brilliant experience from future lets. Majestically high prices for what seems like a piece of s*it experience, a horribly extortionate company who will charge you for the smallest things, like not hoovering your room after the tenancy has ended. We have a house cleaner this is brilliant, apart from hoovering the communal space once a week, and banging against the door in the early hours of the morning, you will most certainly hear her talking loud to her co-worker about how filthy we are, after leaving crumbs on the cooking surface, and how she can't fill her mop bucket because theres a food bowl in the sink. Also, if we don't clean the place, she can complain and get us a fine for it; if we do clean the place, she comes into the kitchen to be loud and obnoxious complaining about students over a cup of tea and a telephone call to someone called 'Sue'. Oh, and she will tidy up, she can sometimes rearrange the bits we leave on the countertop to make it seem like she did something. Some random lady had a go at me for calling the wrong number when the light fell of the ceiling, when the washing machine started leaking, when the sink leaked and caused mould under it, when the cheap cooker broke and they bought a cheaper one which set the food on fire, and when the outside pipes burst rendering the s*itty garden un-useful. Don't you love random security guys walking through your hallways at night without any warning? Well this place might be the one for you! Not to mention, when the cleaning lady went on holiday, we almost got fined for not wheeling the wheelie bins to the outside peripheries of the accommodation to be collected. You're not allowed pictures or posters on your walls. Every room needs to buy a separate TV license (more extortion) Garage is specifically for cleaners, can't use it... not even if you're disabled, which is indicated by the disabled badge inside the garage. You pay the same price for the house as everyone else; no matter how much smaller your room is. Oh, and our accommodation is next to like a brothel street... Sweet. 11/10 would live here forever.

I had rented with the FutureLets during my final year, so renting with a university owned company you would expect them to take care of university students, this was far from the case. Communications were never sent to the right email address, therefore we were never notified of anything to do with the property. I only received 1 receipt of rent payment, and worst of all had to wait over a month for my deposit to be repaid. This was due to the fact that the FutureLets only have 1 person in the whole office that can authorise deposit repayments, and when they went on holiday, I was told nothing can be done, which I find ridiculous. On top of this I was told by receptionists that I should be patient because some tenants had been waiting well over a month for their repayments. I would not recommend using the FutureLets at all, they are poorly organised and provide low quality service.

BEAWARE!!! Do not book any room with this agent! This letting agent tried to scam and got its own taste by Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS). They tried to claim Β£190 for maintenance works from my deposit amount at the end of contract. Thankfully I had taken pictures of that flat while leaving the property and many thanks to Deposit Protection Scheme. I received complete deposit after 4 months of struggle. Many international students approach thefuturelets because of Coventry University's name. But that's not true guys. University hardly interferes in their (money greedy) work. They try to impose unnecessary maintenance and make students fearful about their deposit money. Many students immediately leave the city/country as soon as term ends and they are in a hurry to move out. Futurelets takes this sweet chance for their benefit and says that if you chose to proceed with legal proceedings your money will be stuck with DPS, Neither you nor Futurelets will get anything. So students pay 100 quids to them so that they get remaining deposit amount immediately. In my case I fought for my right and spent 4 months waiting for legal process to complete. I am in my home country and I have transferred that amount via Internet Banking (electronically) to my bank account here. Students! fight for your right (email them, call them for as many times as possible until the problem is fixed) if you are already with them. Those who are looking for rooms be aware of such goons. There are plenty of them in Coventry (there are better people too just need a better eye to find that out).

I don't even want to give these people 1 star, but had no choice in order to send the review. THE. WORST. AGENCY. EVER. A lot of promises were made during the house viewing,(house will be cleaned, back garden would be fixed, wardrobe in room would be fixed etc) after moving in during September time, the house was in the same state it was when I had viewed it beforehand. There were cockroach infestations because the house was absolutely filthy, no heating, my wardrobe was not fixed till ending of April when i had less than a month to finish UNI. And yet they never forget to ask for rent. They had the cheek! After all I suffered, they lied to me saying the reason why I had not been given my deposit was cause of the landlord, called the landlord, Landlord had done his part and it was the agency taking forever, they did not give me back my deposit until the 3rd week into September when I was starting another academic year. They don't do things on time. Never, ever, getting a house with them EVER again. Y'all need to fix up! And stop stealing student's money and carry out your promises.

** STUDENTS - BEWARE ** If anyone is looking to rent a property from this agent, I highly recommend seeking an alternative! There were SO SO SO many problems (all major which caused many big risks to me) with the place I rented from them, and nothing ever got fixed properly before I moved out. They would always send people to come over to fix things, but these people were clueless! They would also come without any notice from the agent. I have only JUST got my deposit back after moving out nearly FIVE months ago, what a joke! Also, they had deducted some of my deposit without reason. I wanted to raise a dispute on this, but it would probably take another five months to resolve this so I just left it. I could go on forever about all the problems I encountered with the property/the agent, but unfortunately the word limit isn't enough. They are the worst letting agent you will ever come across. Anyone else could do a better job compared to them!

Iβve recently used Future Let to manage my property, and I couldnβt be happier with the service. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and completely stress-free. They communicated clearly, found reliable tenants quickly, and handled all the paperwork without any fuss.

Nice place to stay several months for visiting university as a visiting scholar. It is easy to get in touch with staffs when I encounter problems. The room provided to me was quite large, although the corridors of building are narrow and like a maze. Catering in Hub was not outstanding, but filled the bill. If I will have chance to visit Coventry university again, I will probably choose this place again.

Really poor experience. Me and my friends rented a house with them but the whole application process was horrible. After visiting the office 7 times(!) because there was always something missing in our papers or the names were misspelled the staff could not answer even the simplest question we had. There was even a problem to print some documents! They think that if you're a student they can treat you bad!

Stayed in both a private house and in student accommodation both provided by Futurelets and I really liked it. In Singer Hall is was nice for a first year student for the social aspect. From my second year I moved to a private house where I stayed for two years and the landlord was really nice.

The worst agency in the world. RUN AWAY. JUST RUN. We moved in an accommodation in July that costs Β£800 per month and the apartment was in the worst condition ever (no functionable shower, no lights in the bathroom, broken matress, broken wardrobe, etc.). Now, we have contacted them to solve our bathroom draining because we found glass in it and they accused us that we put it there and that we are dirty and this is why the water in the bathtub is dirty. Plus, they want to fine us for this thing, which obvs they will not gonna see a penny from us. And we are waiting for 2 weeks for them to solve this, meanwhile they try their best to find a new tendant for the next year so they book in viewings (we still have 8 months until our contract ends lol and we did let them know in the past that we are considering to keep it next year as well, but hey? they care only about money obvs) Bad move, FutureLets. SHAME!!! Thus, we had to beg them for 3 months for a new mattress because we used to wake up with bruises because of it. I just can't believe that this experience has happened. RUN AWAY! Apparently not even if you pay Β£800/month is good enough for them to respect you.
