Moving next week and I can't thank the team at Mov8 enough for the help and guidance through the complicated process of selling a house. The fist contact with Mov8 was easy - they arranged for a lovely young man to come by and not only give a valuation but also explain the process of the sale in great detail. Both sale (Louisa) and purchase (Sarah) teams were fantastic! Easily accessible, answered all my annoying questions with a smile and kept us up to date with everything. Could not recommend this Real Estate enough, never mind good price involved in the process.

Agree with earlier reviews- general lack of customer service, they genuinely seem disinterested and when you try to contact them, can be rude and abrupt. Very slow in correspondence and extremely difficult to get a hold of via telephone. Very disappointed, will not recommend.

I was very impressed with MOV8 when I sold my property in October 2013. The staff were very professional, efficient as well as being very friendly. I thought MOV8 were really good - a strong service orientated company with excellent staff representing them. The negotiators (and support staff) were solid, and really good at chasing on your behalf, as well as coming across very friendly. Wrap this within an understood and fair pricing model (fixed fee!), then you can see why they are clear front runners in the Edinburgh Estate Agent scene. We bought a new flat and sold our old flat through MOV8 and were delighted with their service. We were particularly impressed with their straightforward advice about market value, the speed and efficiency with which they brought our flat to market, and the helpfulness and responsiveness of all their staff. We had a huge number of viewings and sold within a month, above the home report value. A quick sale was particularly important for us as we had already bought our new flat. For our purchase the excellent mortgage advice and assistance from their sister company, MOV8 Financial, made what can be a stressful experience incredibly straightforward and, despite quite complex requirements, were able to offer with a mortgage agreed in principal within 24 hours of our first enquiry.

Firstly i liked the fixed fee that Move8 offered - what really impressed me was the quality and efficiency of the entire experience - it was so easy to get intouch with the relevant people(by phone or e mail) and i felt i was continually kept up to date with the whole process - the speed in which my property was put up on the market was amazing and i felt the service had a personal touch to it - i would most definately recommend Move8 and wish i had known about them last year when my experience of selling was so stressful and far more expensive. MOV8 have so far (I have just accepted an offer) been very good, the process of getting my property on the market was quick and well structured, I was well informed as to what would happen at each stage. All the staff I've dealt with have been helpful and quick in answering any queries I have had. The photographs I thought were really good quality. MOV8 were also helpful in moving the surveyors along regarding a minor issue regarding the EPC. I'd be happy to use MOV8 again and would recommend them to friends as I have found them to offer a quality and competitively priced service.

I will definitely be recommending Mov8 to friends. The cost of marketing our house has been considerably lower than it would have been with other property agents and yet the quality of service has been excellent. Preparation for sale was quick, efficient and professional and we were very pleased with the quality of brochures and photographs. The personal log on system Mov8 provide is very helpful, and gave us a clear and up to date picture of all activity related to our property. Staff were at all times friendly, efficient, and remarkably quick to act. We received good advice throughout and are very pleased we chose to go with Move8. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.

Chosen them after reading the reviews from their previous customers and felt obliged to describe my own experience for the benefit of others. In a nutshell very professional and friendly service. Their business model is slightly different than the traditional estate agents, I guess to keep the costs to a minimum. It's more like a factory production line where individual staff/teams are dedicated to do a specific job. This would mean that it can increase their efficiency as a company but on the client's side this might result in an experience which may not be entirely personalised. Nevertheless, a progressive and forward thinking company which make very good and efficient use of the modern technology to boost up their business and also have a good database of potential buyers/investors which is useful if one is looking to sell their property more quickly.

I believe that with most things you get what you pay for. In this case that is not correct. Mov8 are probably the cheapest agent and I have found them very efficient and very friendly to deal with. I've tried getting other solicitors and agents just to book viewings to look at other property for sale and more often than not they are unhelpful at best and don't even call you back at worst. I work as a letting agent so know the property market well and will certainly be recommending Mov8 to our clients when they sell.

Great value service, easily undercutting every other estate agent we approached and also offering listing on Zoopla, ESPC etc. which not all estate agents do. Our sale was handled mostly by solicitor Paul Harvey who was always lightening quick to respond to emails and offer suggestions regarding marketing. Although they ask that communication should be by email I did phone a couple of times and always got through to someone who could deal with my query. We were offered loads of helpful advice regarding preparing the house for the photographer etc. and were always kept informed about how our listing was performing on the website. I would recommend MOV8 to anyone and question why its necessary to spend more on an estate agent.

Used Mov8 to purchase my first house, they were excellent! After initially enquiring about their services, I received an email with a quote detailing the breakdown of all costs and a 'client guide' explaining everything I could ever need to know about buying a house. Once I had decided on a property I telephoned Mov8 and was advised on the best course of action. I was kept up to date with regular phone calls and emails and Mov8 secured the property quickly and easily and for below asking price. I would recommend Mov8 to any purchaser, and with such great service they will be our first port of call if we decide to sell!

Great service. We wanted to get on the market quickly and Mov8 pulled out all the stops to help us. Photos and schedule were excellent. Everyone in the team i dealt with gave good advice and kept us constantly updated with developments and what we should be doing. I love the email service and the log on link where you can see everything in one place, viewings, notes of interest, offers. Makes everything very easy to follow. We used the same Edinburgh firm the last two times we moved who were very good but work out expensive in comparison. I had thought the trade off with Mov8's reduced cost would have been a poorer service however nothing could be further from the truth, you get excellent value and an excellent service.

Used them to sell our property and found them very helpful. It took a long time to sell as the market was slow but the company were always looking at ways to promote properties. I liked the fact they charged a standard fee no matter what property they are selling. They quoted a lower figure for one aspect of the serve and stuck to it even though it was a mistake. A great example of integrity. The quality of signs, schedules etc was to a very high standard and the solicitors they used were very professional. All together a great company and believe they will continue to grow.

A great service at an affordable price. We weren't 100% sure if we should sell in the current climate so decided to go with Mov8 due to the fixed fee so we knew exactly what we were paying and would not end up paying over the odds for marketing our property. Although you do end up having to pay over double this up-front for ESPC, home report etc, this is all laid out in the initial valuation visit and we were provided with a simple cost break-down so we knew exactly what we were paying before we agreed to continue (maybe good to point out the other estate agents we contacted also had these additional charges but the initial estate agency fee was higher before any of this was even added on!). All marketing material was excellent, brochures, photos etc and we sold in 4 1/2 months, which we were very surprised at considering a similar house on the same estate has been on the market for 5 years with a different estate agent! I have to admit that we did have to be a bit proactive on our side and chase up Mov8 for a couple of things but having spoken to friends marketing through other estate agents, their experience was no different and they were paying a lot more! Also £600 is for the basic package and if you would like anything more, any additional service is charged for but if you don't want to pay over the odds, you can't expect a top-end quality service. Basically, you get what you pay for - if you would like a top-end quality service you have to pay a top-end quality price. The negative reviews here are clearly clients looking to spend as little money as possible but still have the same service as an expensive estate agent. This just doesn't happen! All in all, we were very pleased with Mov8. They are 100% value-for-money at the expensive time of selling a property and we would definitely use again and recommend to anyone wanting to sell their house on a budget. NB Review from a client completely independent from Mov8!
