As a first time buyer, to be told the wrong completion date from Zoe was annoying.The day before I phoned to say I doubt that’s happening as our solicitors haven’t said it will be.They still told us we will be moving in.This is because Reeds Rains Solicitors sent out the paperwork too soon to the sellers and dragged it out for 3 weeks sending us our paperwork that we needed.

Still have received my deposit after 3 months of vacating one of reed Rains properties. I have gone through mydeposits Dispute and the agency was ordered them to pay back the deposit a few weeks ago, but no payments have been made. I have made complaint to the property Ombudsman and the national trading standards estates and letting agency team, in preparation to take it to court. I don't understand why they are stalling and the constant lies whenever you speak to someone on the phoneNoma

0 stars or less. Complaints department is pretty useless. Unfortunately I don’t think there is a complaints procedure about a complaint against the complaints department. Woman answered like a teenager with a bad attitude sounded immediately like she was up for an argument, to call her a manager in this field is degrading to those who are that actual profession. Had a lot of wrong information. Not professional, being advised that my out look on life needs to change and simply siding with the landlord on every front no professional phone etiquette. Being told my complaint to save £100 was ridiculous, Completely uneducated in contract law, but adamant that she was correct and everything I did say that was clearly correct got responded to with a ‘yeah, but…’, no sign of taking responsibility,admission or apology when they are incorrect about something. Not sure if she has been trained in how to deal with customers with complaints, almost as if she expected me to be happy about making a complaint. Needs further training.

Requested repairs to the property that I was renting in multiple occasions, never happened, and currently 3 weeks after moving out and still have not received my deposit back and can't seem to get a straight answer. The flat was dirty when I moved in, I cleaned from top to bottom when I moved out including shampooing and wet vac to carpets. it was way cleaner than when I moved in. Yet still won't return my deposit. Leaving me struggling to pay my bills, fuel my car and buy food.Thanks for putting me in this situation.Plus when the flat was for sale whilst I was a tenant, I found out when they booked a viewing! I wasn't even informed it was for sale.*Update*Further information provided as requested and no response from them since.

If there is a minus one million star, I would definitely give it to Reeds Rains, which is the most gross company in the UK from the start of the universe. How tolerant the britons can be to let this kind of company last for more than 150 years. After I became a tenant, the emails from them read like it was from a concentrate of Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un. I have requested to add another name to my renewed contract. After 6 months they told me they forgot it and asked me to provide the info about the name of my renewed contract so they can carry out some other procedures (Yes, still not care about my request). Three days later, their aggressive and unprofessional staff blamed me for not providing information and threatened to make it worse. I f**king have a life,I am not some simpy who checks email boxes every day just for your emails. Of course I replied aggressively as well. And they didn’t offer any apologies. Well, it is not worth complaining like this if the story just stops here. Months later, their regular inspector came and inspected this house, which was smooth and there was a small issue. The inspector didn’t mention it needs to be replaced, and all I need to do is to use bleach to clean it. However, another aggressive and unprofessional c*nt dropped me an email and threatened me that they would tell the landlord and they want me to replace the whole thing, which was restored to the original state by bleach and didn’t take me 5 minutes. This time I did not send aggressive emails again, because all people in this company are like this. There is no reason to argue with c*nts. I have just told them I would leave and found myself another place to live. So dear reader, if you have already taken so much time to read my comment, why not take my advice as well, “Run, Forest run”. THIS COMPANY IS ON MY BLACKLIST FOREVER!!

GoogleOffering my special thanks to Stacie (wish I got to thank you in person when I collected my key) and her colleagues at Reeds Rains Congleton. I was a First time buyer with my wife and two young kids and Although things turned complicated they Provided an excellent service and excellent case management between her and her colleagues. they took what ever they could take off my plate to relieve the stresses from moving offering regular communication and explained all the steps and jargon right up to the point of completion. All of the staff have acted in a friendly, professional and confident manner. Feedback has been effectively relayed following viewings. The conveyancing service offered has proven to be efficient - facilitated using on-line access. I've also appreciated the regular weekly email updates regarding Rightmove / Reeds Rains website visits to view my property information on-line. On a final note, I was also pleased with the very professional marketing literature and photography compiled for my property. GoogleWe recently used Reeds Rains in Congleton to sell our house. I wouldn’t usually leave a Google review, but I was asked to do so. We were initially really impressed with Reeds Rains. Katy came to value the house and suggested a pragmatic approach to market our property, which ultimately led to us receiving a very fair price and a quick sale. Katy organised back-to-back viewings for prospective purchasers, where we were able to pop out for a Saturday afternoon whilst a dozen people came to view the property, rather than having viewings spread out over several days. Unfortunately, after we accepted an offer on our property Katy no longer dealt with us as we were passed on to others in the Congleton office and regular communication from Reeds Rains essentially stopped. After months of next to no communication from Reeds Rains, as we approached the point where we were nearing the exchange of contracts, we did begin to receive communication from Reeds Rains. These communications, however, were very pushy and applied pressure on us to exchange contracts as quickly as possible before month end - perhaps motivated by end of month sales bonuses. It felt like Reeds Rains had forgot we were the ones paying for their services, and were acting on our buyer’s behalf. On the day of completion I received a telephone call from Reeds Rains to say that they weren’t sure if we were completing the purchase/sale on that day, despite having confirmed this date with them 10 days beforehand in writing. This placed a great deal of stress on me. Our experience of using Reeds Rains is of two halves. Katy is an asset to the Congleton branch, she was like day and night compared to estate agents from other competing firms that came to provide an initial appraisal/valuation of the property. Unfortunately, the rest of our Reeds Rains experience was very disappointing, and therefore I would not be in a position to recommend Reeds Rains of Congleton to anyone selling a property in the local area.

When Katy visited me to provide me with a valuation, I was impressed by her professionalism, her honesty and friendly manner which put me at ease. The office staff have followed up giving me all the support and help I needed. Caroline and Vicky worked very hard on my behalf and were really supportive when I was going through an anxious period. I would not hesitate to recommend Reeds Rains.

When having a look for a first time home, me & my partner were a bit lost, trying to think of what all our outgoings, new build or old build & were I would stand with gaining a new job, We were put through to Peter & he made us so comfortable straight away and went through everything step by step and spent time making sure we would know everything before buying a house. What should we do and what shouldn’t we do. Eg what’s negative to a bank on a bank statement/ credit cards ect, He made sure we understood and how to improve this to get more lenders to accept, Peter made sure we understood that not many banks would lend as I had a career change and once my probation period is over I would have a lot more chance. We have decided to wait abit longer and get back in touch with Peter when we are ready to buy, hopefully end of summer. We didn’t feel pushed or rushed, & he advised us if we saved a bit more the price of our house can increase so we would have more choice, overall Peter was super helpful, and we can’t wait to work with him, and for him to help us buy our first home come this autumn 😊Thanks Larisse
