GoogleI rarely write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience to warn others. After vacating the property, I was shocked to find that my entire £2000 security deposit was withheld. The reason given was a supposed cleaning issue, despite the fact that the property was left in excellent condition. They claimed to have hired a cleaner without consulting me and used that to justify keeping the full amount. No receipts, no before-and-after photos, no fair process, just a blatant lack of professionalism and respect. This feels like a scam, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with them.

It is quite difficult to rent a house out of the country. He made it easy for me and never left any of my questions unanswered. I really appreciate that.

GoogleAn absolute disgrace of a company, ripping off students left right and centre. I would not advise anyone to rent with this company!!!! They have removed older reviews which detailed what an awful company it is. Please do not believe any of the newer positive reviews as they are undoubtably fake. When I was at uni they told students they would only give them their full deposit back if they left a good review. I had the displeasure of dealing with Saxons in 2018 and still receive emails from them now where the new tenants details are included, A CLEAR BREACH OF GDPR laws.

GoogleAvoid at all costs. My family have had a terrible experience with this so called “estate agency”. They seem to have a problem with communication and a general lack of willingness to communicate and customer service. Please avoid.

GoogleAs a current tenant of Saxons I would say stay well clear of this estate agent as the manager is very rude and unhelpful, we have been complaining for the last two years about the state of things in the property and between the landlord and estate agent nothing ever gets done. But they’re all happy to take your money, things have got that bad we have had to get the council and local MP involved, every time we contact the manager about an issue we receive nothing but rudeness back e.g we contacted them about an issue that’s been going on for to years to be told that we have caused the problem and that we should use common sense or we just get told to refer to previous emails, when calling the office we are always told that the manager is either out of the office on another call or in a meeting and then never returns our calls. If I could give this estate agents a rating of 0 I would, this has been by far the worse estate agents in Colchester, so please people looking to rent stay as far away from this one.
