We recently used Martin & Co as the agents to sell a property for us following a death in the family, with us dealing primarily with the Coalville and Castle Donnington branches. Chris came to do the initial valuation and guided us through the process. The team managed the viewings for us, and kept us regularly updated throughout the marketing and sale stages, through calls, messages or email. They also arranged clearance of the garage for us which was appreciated. The use of the Propertyfile site was very useful and enabled us to track remotely booked viewings/offers etc. A specific mention for Ella who was working closely with us, who was approachable, friendly and professional throughout. I would certainly recommend using this agent.

I don’t really know how to sum up the dedication, the unrelenting support, (beyond what an estate agent would normally offer), Martin & Co gave to me, for what was a long, complex and challenging process prior to a successful completion. Luke, Ella and team, during what was an incredibly busy period for any estate agent, were there for me throughout. Pretty much every communication had to be written, I’m deaf, all replies and advice to me were swiftly given. I’m disabled too and extra assistance was required, there wasn’t a viewing they didn’t attend. Throughout the entire process, the ups, the downs, they were professional, patient and kind. In all honesty, I shall miss their, so very often daily, communication. They got to know my story, played a part in it and have been key in helping me to open a new doorway into, not only a new home, but also, a new life. Thank you 🥹

I’ve been waiting since February 2025 for a refund of £825 due to a rent overpayment for a property I vacated in January. After multiple emails and follow-ups, I was told my refund is being withheld because a new tenant hasn’t completed their paperwork something entirely unrelated to me. I have had no access to the property since January, yet Martin & Co responded to this review by stating I “will not be released” from the tenancy until the new paperwork is done. This is despite the fact that I’ve been gone for over five months, and they’ve been fully aware of this all along. I consider this unacceptable. I paid more than I owed, I left the property months ago, and I’ve made every effort to resolve this directly. I will update or remove this review only once the refund has been processed.

Matt and Jack, we’re such a pleasure from start to finish. Very smartly dressed in immaculate white shirts and suits. Very personable, friendly and approachable but yet filled us with confidence in their professional abilities too. We got 3 different quotes to sell our property, one suggested a cheaper asking price and the other 2 were the same. Our house sold within 48 hours and we were pleased to be offered the full asking price +. We couldn’t have asked for a better service and really can’t praise them high enough. I have recently sold my house with Martin & Co. The hard work, commitment & dedication that Becki shown is nothing short of outstanding. The help & support she has given me has definitely been above & beyond any 5* service. I am a strong believer that communication is key and Becki never failed in this area. She listened to my frustrations with solicitors and assured me she would do all she could to help, and she did. She spent hours of her time on hold to multiple solicitors down my chain, chasing for updates & pushing for completion dates. On top of that she never stopped until we had a completion date. She contacted me in her own time, in the evenings to update me. When Becki tells you she will get back to you, there is absolutely no doubt that she won’t. Even if it’s in her own time. A girl that is true to her word. She pulled out all the stops to ensure the customer (myself) was happy & satisfied. Becki is a credit to Martin & Co. Called them up 2 weeks a go to book a viewing for a property. All booked and set for Thursday..... Came to Thursday and I thought I would call just to confirm as I was travelling over an hour to see. I got through and was told sorry, the property has now been sold.... 1 I wasn't made aware of this so would have wasted money and time to drive. 2 They didn't sound like they gave 2 hoots and just put the phone down on me. 3. The house is still on the market now. This company are clearly unprofessional and don't care. The fact that this person has trusted them to sell their house and they are fobbing off buyers.

Matt came out to complete an initial valuation on our house in Markfield. He arrived on time and was well prepared, clearly having done his homework. What a fantastic experience, Georgina was amazing in day 1 fitting us in for a last minute viewing and was so helpful whilst on site at the property, Kasia took over and looked after us throughout the referencing which happened very quickly and worked very hard to get a date sorted for a quick move. The quickest move I have had the pleasure to be involved in, helpful and friendly staff, amazing response, nothing was too much from a very nervous mover. Enquiry 19/10 early afternoon, viewing 19/10 at 16:00, referencing complete by 12:39 on 20/10 and confirmation of a move date by 13:12, from start to finish I can not fault this company and the service the staff have given, just to add great social distancing and mask wearing to protect myself and my family whilst viewing

We found a house that we wanted to rent and going through all the credit checks Kasia went above and beyond helping to get it through and get the information required to the credit company as soon as possible, even emailing after her day had ended, couldn't do enough to help. This letting agent is absolutely horrible. Throughout my tenancy, they were always unresponsive, care less about the tenants, and even breached their own contract. They refused to return my deposit and showed zero professionalism. I strongly advise anyone to avoid renting through them.

I’ve used Martin & Co to rent a property for a number of years. Over the past year or so it’s had a change of ownership and now David & Chris have been the main people I’ve been dealing with. As with all rentals it’s had it’s share of issues that have needed dealing with and I’ve called upon them to assist. No issues and a friendly branch to deal with, rent reviews dealt with and everything kept up to date. Recently I have sold a rented property with them which they marketed around Christmas 2019. The brochure created and the speed they marketed and got viewings was spot on. Again calling on Martin & Co to deal with the stress of selling a property and to supply paperwork etc to solicitors has been dealt with without me having to get a headache finding documents. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, Chris got on with the job and got the sale done and always returned my calls, can’t ask for anymore! All the staff at the branch have been very helpful. Hope people share this experience and you do well with your Coalville branch!
