Selling my Fathers/Family home

Selling my Fathers home, the family home, was a terrible time for me. Keenans helped to make the process less painful for me. I loved the photographs taken by the photographer, Lacie, she made my Dads home look incredible, I can also keep the lovely pictures in my memory box. Due to the pandemic the sale went through a little slower than usual, but I was kept up to date with the progression of the sale by Cree, this eased any worries that I had and to be honest I needed that extra time to say goodbye to my home.

House sale made easy

When we initially decided to sell our house, we had a couple of estate agents to value etc. It was clear from the outset, that there was only one choice for us. All the team at Keenans have made the experience as painless as possible. The communication has been brilliant throughout and Customer service is brilliant, and if they can't answer a question straight away, they will phone back with an answer.Totally professional and always polite. I cannot recommend Keenans highly enough.

Amazing experience!

Keenan’s have made my experience so easy. The communication, politeness and friendliness of all the staff made the process much more pleasant than I expected it to be. I would like to mention Sam Wixted who particularly stood out to me, any queries I had he answered and resolved them straight away. At this stage in selling a property I am satisfied with the service I am receiving with Keenans. During the viewing stages I was always kept up to date by Chloe who was a very pleasant person to speak to. She kept me up to date with viewings and feedback from the viewings. Any offers made with regards to the property were passed onto straight away to me by Chloe and I never felt any pressure to accept.Lewis who is now handling the sale informs me we’re we are up to with the sale.

Simply the best

We can not praise the team at Rochdale Keenans enough.Aaron,Nicole and Jameswere professional,courteous and eager to help.Ours wasn't an easy sale and at times we were ready to call it a day.Without the teams encouragement we probably would have.Calls and queries were dealt with promptly,nothing was too much trouble.I would highly recommend the Rochdale team and would have no hesitation using Keenans again.

Awful company- avoid like the plague

Awful company- avoid like the plague. I have had the unfortunate experience of letting and then putting my hose up for sale with Keenans. On the letting side they were constantly pestering- such and such work needs doing when it didn't. Just an excuse to send their own workmen out and charge a fortune. On the selling side - not clue. They just do not respond to messages and completely lax in attitude. I wouldn't give them one star but then I couldn't leave a review. Just terrible.

Great service throughout the process of selling the house

Great service throughout the process of selling the house. The whole team including Liam, Rob Ella and various others who helped with the viewings, the photographer, all were splendid. Nothing was too awakard, too difficult or not their responsibility. They listened to all my concerns and gave advice when appropriate. They were great acting on my behalf when the solicitors stopped taking my calls. If I had to sell again I would choose Keenans.

Unauthorized entering of home

Keenans estate agents entered the property where I am the legal tenant with my current landlord without my authority, without me knowing and without me being present at my home just my friend there unaware that keenans were coming to take pictures of the house, I spoke with James who is aware I am the tenant and be informed me my landlord arranged this and gave the go ahead for this so knew I hadn’t agreed. No apology was given or explanation to me just ‘speak to your landlord’

Selling your house? Stay clear!

Selling your house? Stay clear of Keenan's. After an agreed sale on our house, I had been chasing Keenan's for weeks for a for a response from the buyer. This is normal Keenan's kept telling me. So I've now contacted the buyer directly as it seems Keenan's were incapable. Only to find out they buyer had emailed Keenan's 3 weeks ago to pull out of the sale and Keenan's had 'missed' the email as they put it. This isn't no excuse and left us in a very difficult position having to sell our house again when there is a whole chain of people waiting. Thanks for nothing. No offer of anything in way of fixing this other than them relisting. No thanks, thanks for nothing.

My experience of Keenans was very poor.

My experience of Keenans was very poor. Right from the start the Burnley branch didn't have much info on the property they were selling. I quickly gave up on them and went to speak to the property owner myself about it. We struck up a deal between us, but everytime Keenans got involved it just went downhill. The staff were evasive, they lied and were sometimes aggressive. All phone calls are vetted by the receptionist so if anyone there doesn't want to talk to you they just don't answer the phone or make excuses why they can't speak to you. If you want to speak to someone just lie about who you are and you'll get put through. We had a much better experience with Yopa.

Ridiculous at best

It is difficult to find the correct words which explain how ridiculous the service received from Keenan's will be. If you are looking for an unprofessional, incompetent and poorly trained estate agents team, then this is the agent to choose. As a seller, the sales team will push any client through to update a property status to sold. The team who manage the sale are incompetent at best. You hear from the supervisor how hundreds of issues can be raised during a sale and how his team are trained to overcome them. Then when a problem occurs the advisors are that poorly trained that the most minor issue becomes such an over exaggerated problem, causing constant unnecessary delays. During my contract, I refused to work with one adviser as she was absolutely useless, lost a sale and then didn't have the professionalism to tell me herself. It very quickly became evident that the advisor handling the second sale was exactly the same. You can negotiate your fee. This is likely standard practice with an agent of this calibre, as they know what their service is really worth. If you enjoy helping incompetent staff, that you are paying, overcome issues they create, on a daily basis, then this is the service for you.I am likely to loose the second sale on my house, resulting in a broken down chain after 7 months with this agent. Agents like this take no accountability for there actions and always pass blame. Anyone who has a career within professional environment will understand how this approach would not be tolerated in any other industry. In summary, I could not be more disappointed with Keenan's and I would not recommend this agent to anyone wanting to buy or sell a house.

viewing for a property…

I arranged a viewing for a property several days prior as I’m a clinician and having to take time out of work to view. I called up on the day to confirm and was told it was not booked. Apparently they had tried to “call” me but must have taken the wrong number down. Next appointment offered was a week later. I have seen all this before. It stinks of unprofessionalism and incompetence. Would tread carefully with this company.
