We were looking for a university house for 3 of us as our previous plans fell through, I went into Andrew’s Clifton and was warmly met by James Fox. As we sat to discuss our options I had an immediate feeing of ease due to the customer care provided by James and needless to say we walked out completely surprised by not only the efficiency but the quality of service we received. Not only did James sort us a viewing for an ideal property meeting all of criteria, he further put in a recommendation for our group to aid us in securing the property for our third year at university. Both my partner and I have been looking for a property in Bristol for a while (both professionals) and it is nearly impossible to even get a viewing. Our experience at Andrew’s has been great. Absolutely awful branch of Andrews , the staff were previously, and continue to be, absolutely appalling at the basic aspects of their jobs. We had to use a different branch to do our contract paperwork before we even moved in, because they couldn’t be bothered to respond to us asking to come in and sort it. Not a great start. They continued to be useless throughout our tenancy and required us going in physically to get even the most basic things sorted. When we were moving out, and other potential tenants needed to be shown the flat, they never told us they were coming and just let themselves in. Some 5 or 6 years after we left the flat, Bristol County Council tried to claim we owed them council tax for a period when we were not there. They told us to gain a statement from our landlord to prove our leaving dates. I contacted Andrews by phone and email MULTIPLE times explaining the situation and they were useless. The first time, via phone, they assured me they could help and would give me a PDF stating our end date. That never happened. When I contacted them again, they claimed their branch manager could phone the council for us and sort it (I told them this wasn’t possible, as Bristol want physical evidence). When I contacted them AGAIN after no response, they claimed they didn’t understand what we wanted and that because they hadn’t done their jobs properly at the time and done a ‘check out’ after we left, that meant they couldn’t just give us a pdf letter? There is extensive email evidence of when we left on their records and they couldn’t be bothered. Every time after that when I contacted them asking them to respond I was ignored. BCC have now sent us a court summons for a back payment we don’t owe, because Andrews can’t make a basic PDF. Avoid at all costs. Just the most useless group of people on earth.

We popped into Andrews Clifton to register our interest in renting a property. Met with Chris who was friendly and listened to our requirements. He was able to take us to and show us round a property there and then that exactly matched what we told him would be suitable. Chris was on hand to answer any questions and anything he was unsure of, he got us answers from the Landlord the let the property on behalf of. We went and away and had a think and after a quick second viewing agreed the let the next day. From there the process was smooth and hassle free and referencing completed in quick time, and asking to pop round and take a few measurements before we moved in was no problem at all. Great service all round and have been settled in the perfect property for a few weeks now! Fully recommend and highly rate the service provided..
