Absolutely remarkable! Sue made everything so smooth and helped me understand everything I needed to know about renting a flat. Frankly speaking, there are no words that could be written to appropriately convey what an absolutely astounding and amazing team Grace Martin, Steve Pearce and Rachel Pellow make, although I will give it a shot here. :) Steve is a highly enthusiastic and polished professional with extensive experience and local knowledge that gave us absolute confidence that Mayfair were the right team to look after us. His highly consultative approach and frank guidance was a critical factor in the decisions we made in our approach to selling the house, something we are very grateful for. One particular strategic discussion with Steve led to a critical change in our approach which in turn set us on a path that led to a very quick, smooth and faultless sale to a fabulous couple and at a price that everyone was happy with. Grace was astounding. Grace is the absolute embodiment of professionalism, commitment and customer-centricity. Her efforts on our behalf were above and beyond anything we could ever have ever asked for. This sale represented an incredibly important step and change in our lives, and yet we often commented that Grace was definitely more passionate and engaged in the sale of the house than we were! Faultless in her communication and guidance, we felt grateful that we were under her wing throughout the sales process. We cannot thank Grace enough for everything she did, and how she did it too. We met Rachel during the conveyancing process and I have to say that I personally underestimated how important her role would be in making sure communication between all parties was as smooth, rapid and faultless as she made it. Avoid this Management Company at all costs - I would have given no stars if given the choice. Our property was left with severe mould and damp issues, which resulted from a lack of ventilation to the property. We installed a new bay window last year, costing £2k, and when the tenant moved out just 6 months later, they left two large permanent black mould stains on the pvc which can not be cleaned. The property was left in an unhabitable state after the tenant moved out, resulting in the need to redecorate the whole house, along with a multitude of things that needed fixing that hadn't been reported by either the tenant or the management company. This has left us out of pocket and we are still working our way through these now. A changeover in staff resulted in a serious damp issue/request to investigate further not being followed up. When the Clifton branch closed, clients were moved to the Clevedon branch, and customer files were lost, leading to them having to send out new contracts. The new contract then contained more fees than we had agreed to pay and we would have been forced to pay these - luckily we saw sense and moved to another Bristol based management company which are providing an excellent service. The staff at Mayfair are incompetent at running a professional management company, and some more senior members are rude and abrasive. Avoid if you can, there are much better management companies out there.

We used Mayfair as a letting agent for the last number of years. While we previously found them okay, the last few years they have not been very good at following through with tasks (e.g. arranging work with tradespeople), which meant that we were a lot more directly involved in managing the property than we should have been. The last tenant that moved out also left the property in a poor state, and Mayfair were not very good at either preventing or dealing with this.

My boiler packed in 9 days ago. I have a 10 month old and 2 other children under 7!! I’ve had two visits from an engineer to tell me it needs a new part or ideally a whole new boiler. I’m currently still waiting to get confirmation from the landlord to give the engineer the go ahead to fix it. Meanwhile the house is freezing it’s nearly the end of October and I’m sat chasing everyone to see when it’s getting sorted. I’ve also been told the agency should have provided us with heaters yet we’ve had nothing. It’s just not good enough!!
