Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share this, and we do understand that you were trying to help your friend, which we genuinely appreciate. We’re sorry this situation has left you with a negative impression. Please note that we’re only able to discuss account details directly with the customer unless formal authorisation has been provided, which is why our team couldn’t go into specifics when you contacted us. In this case, the account had been subject to ongoing late and missed payments over a period of time since moving in, and multiple attempts were made to contact the customer through calls, emails, and reminders. As communication remained limited from the customer and the account continued to fall into arrears, we followed our standard debt recovery process, which ultimately led to the termination of the agreement. We always aim to work with customers where possible, but we must apply our policies consistently and fairly to all. We’re sorry again that this experience was frustrating and appreciate you raising your concerns.

In this instance, your booking had progressed through the move-in process and was completed online. We then received notification shortly afterwards that your circumstances had changed and that you no longer required the unit. We completely understand your frustration regarding the refund timescale. While our standard refund process can take up to 21 days, we have already requested that this be expedited as soon as possible. In addition, a secure refund link will be sent to you shortly via HSBC, which is often the quickest way to process and receive your refund. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that you were unable to proceed with your storage plans.
