Annette at Wards was great from when she valued the house to completion. Realistic expectations, suggestions on what to change, she and the team kept on top of interested buyers. They also managed and helped when a sale was agreed and helped resolve any questions. They also carefully reviewed the chain and made sure we were in a strong position when we sold.

My sister and I sold a house with Wards in difficult circumstances. I wish I had known about them when I sold my own house a few years ago - the service was so good compared to what I have been used to. I was treated with compassion, and everything possible was done to make the house sale go as smoothly as possible; with members of the team going above and beyond! I mainly dealt with Annie, but also had communications with Annette and Sophie; and without doubt the company culture is such that all are excellent in their dealings with clients; prompt, polite and professional. Annette valued the house very promptly and gave us an informed valuation based on recently sold properties similar to ours. The valuation was sensible and realistic - the house was valued to sell. The fee to sell the property was very competitive. As soon as we decided to market the house everything was done very efficiently and professionally. We really appreciated the weekly report that gave us an idea of the amount of activity that the house had generated on RightMove - great to gauge the interest in it. Viewings were arranged with us quickly and feedback was obtained from viewers too. The house sold promptly and we were kept updated regularly on the progress of the sale. The communication with Wards was excellent. Emails were answered quickly, everyone in the office knew what was happening with each property and phone calls were always returned. Overall a very positive experience that resulted in a successful house sale - thank you.

Although it seems to go against the grain, our experience of Wards as a buyer was horrendous. We completed on the property in the end, but very nearly pulled out on the day of exchange due to the way Wards had acted throughout. The main issue was the aggressive and rude nature of Hannah, who works in Sales Progression. There's no need to take such an aggressive approach to your job when communication up to this point had been good and all parties involved were fully aware of the desire to complete ASAP. Even my solicitor advised they were not happy with the constant emails from Hannah, badgering her for information they had not only provided but Hannah had acknowledged. On the day of exchange, the property was relisted on the open market without any prior warning from Wards, and only removed AFTER we had exchanged a few hours later. A very strange tactic, and one which left a sour taste in our mouths on what should be a happy day. All in all, we were not happy with the way Wards acted throughout, and would certainly not recommend or use them in future.
