They charged us £30 because there was a singular pea in the fridge - any way to take money from a property that nobody wants, because people leave after two months every year (next door neighbour was dangerous and a psychopath)NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Hi Thomas, we are sorry to hear this however as you are aware your Landlord was on a tenant find only service therefore we had no dealings throughout your tenancy or your end of tenancy. If you disagreed with this charge, your deposit will have been in a deposit scheme to give you the oppurtnity to disagree with it and provide your evidence and the landlord would of had to do the same. You are more than welcome to email us on chesterfield@martinco.com and we can pass any concerns over to your landlord or alternatively you can contact the landlord yourself. Thank you

Last Novemeber.my wife and I were searching for accommodation to rent while our new house was being built. On the last day of our stay before returning to Thailand, we contacted Martin & Co regarding a possible rental although we doubted whether it would be suitable but we were desperate! We met the agent (Faye Mowbray) at the house which proved to be unacceptable. Faye discussed our requirement and then asked if she could ring us later (after a visit we had with another agent). She rang about an apartment not yet on the market but the owner was willing for us to see it. We did so and agreed the rental within 10 minutes! We returned to Thailand relieved at the last minute find. I was returning to take up residence on 15th December but obviously required bedding etc before I could use the apartment. Faye offered to accept any purchases on my behalf at the agent’s office and then she took them to the apartment so everything was there for my arrival. This was far and beyond the role of a letting agent and she has offered help on several occasions as I was hospital bound for 4 weeks! I would thoroughly recommend Martin & Co and their services, dedication and friendliness.

Our overall experience with Martin & Co has been a great one. From start to finish, the process of renting a property was easy & stress-free. Our estate agent/point of contact (Samuel Knight) was extremely helpful & couldn't do enough to ensure that we got settled into our new home as quickly as possible/with ease. When we arrived at the property, everything and more had been done - the house was clean and in pristine condition. We would definitely recommend Martin & Co, as we could not be happier with the service provided.
