My wife and I were put in contact with Colin to help us secure a mortgage to purchase our first home. From our first meeting Colin was incredibly helpful, friendly, approachable and we felt like he genuinely wanted to help us. Due to some bad credit, my wife and I were worried we wouldn’t be accepted for a mortgage but Colin reassured us that he would do everything he could to help us secure one… which he did! My wife was heavily pregnant and freshly post partum during the whole process and Colin made it stress free for us due to his help and assistance from beginning to end. He went above and beyond to help us. We can’t thank him enough for everything and we look forward to being able to recommend him to anyone looking for a mortgage advisor and to using him again when we come to remortgage!

This is the third time we’ve worked with Swetenhams on a mortgage application, having previously withdrawn partway through on two separate occasions. Despite this, they never once complained or made us feel uncomfortable. Instead, they remained professional, patient and incredibly supportive throughout. Swetenhams went above and beyond to ensure we secured the best mortgage available, and their commitment to guiding us through the process made a real difference. As first time buyers we didn’t know what to expect but Michael at Swetenhams has been friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. He was quick to arrange viewings and always provided clear, honest information about the property. I never felt pressured or rushed, which I really appreciate as a first-time buyer. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and his knowledge of the local area was also really helpful for someone who is making a move across the country and is not clued up about the area. Once our offer was accepted, the communication has remained strong. He has worked closely with me to keep things moving smoothly ensuring I was completing what needed to be completed in due time. Overall, I have felt supported and informed throughout what can be a stressful process. The Branch Manager Stacey McAuley is the most unprofessional and ill mannered women I have ever come in contact with. Her tone of voice and outrageous accusations have really left a sour taste, and as a result I have taken our home off the market with Swetenhams, and will certainly not be recommending this estate agent to anyone. Stacey accused my partner of both harassing a lady who has just had a baby? As well as attempting to sell our house privately with the same lady, who are our current neighbours. Stacey soon started to back track stating she had several witnesses who can confirm that she did no such thing and when an audio of our telephone call was requested, coincidentally our call had not been recorded? I am still awaiting a reply to my email as speaking to Stacey is near impossible with her constant interruptions and talking over you. I am hoping this review will allow for my compliant to be taken seriously and I will receive a reply and formal apology.
