As first time buyers we had pretty much no idea what was going on. We have several problems with our mortgage application (this was not through Jones and Chapman) and Charlotte from the Moreton branch has been really helpful and reassuring throughout the whole process. I Would definitely return to use this branch and charlottes services. I’ve always received quick and detailed responses from each query. Many thanks to the team.

I have dealt with Ben in the Moreton office and he has been fantastic! Passionate about selling our home and kept us up to date with the process. Great communication from all staff in branch and all extremely helpful. I would recommend their services.

Unprofessional incompetent Agents

I tried contacting Jones & Chapman (Allerton Rd) on 28th and 29th March on a number of occasions only for the call to ring out to voicemail. After numerous attempts I finally got through to somebody on the 30th who advised that he was in the lettings department and couldn't assist but would pass my details on to the sales team to return my call. Having had no return call I called back on 1st April and spoke to a representative in the Sales department who was unable to answer any of my basic questions about the property. He advised that he was new and would obtain further information and return my call to advise further and also an appointment date to view the property. Having had no return call I called back again on 6th April and got through to the same person after several attempts. I was told the exact same information and it was apparent that no attempt had been made to contact the Vendor to arrange an appointment. He advised that he would now treat this as urgent and also escalate the viewing. Having still had no response I called back again on 11th April on 3 occasions reaching answer machine every time. I left an urgent message on their voicemail on the last occasion asking for the Manager to return my call. Needless to say 3 days later no response from anybody. I appreciate that I am not a Client and they have no obligation to me in terms of customer service but if this is how they are operating their business I would not instruct them to sell a property on my behalf. I am now contacting the Vendor direct.

I’d give no stars if I could

I’d give no stars if I could. I’m a cash buyer and have left numerous voicemails ( no one ever answers) emails, emails through right move and in fact right move themselves emailed them with my details too when I told them I can’t get through. I messaged their face book page- still nothing ! This has gone on for over a month. I’d never try and sell through them. There’s a property I’ve been trying to view for over a month !!

Disgusting and Dishonest service

Tried FOUR TIMES to meet with one of their mortgage advisors just so we could get a viewing and they flaked out EVERY TIME, what a complete waste of time not to mention money we spent on travelling to their office. Then they have the nerve to send us adverts for other properties that 'we may be interested in', making this whole experience reek of a bait and switch. If you, reading this right now are the said mortgage advisor or had any part to play in this then I hope you are ashamed of yourself for brazenly messing us around and the absolute least you could do is compensate us for the time and money wasted.

I'm trying to buy a property in Liverpool

I'm trying to buy a property in Liverpool. I had agreed to meet a mortgage advisor with J&C but, having had three similar quotes, decided one more wasn't necessary. I didn't hear from J&C again despite calling and emailing about properties. I finally got a response. This was after a week of a few attempts to make contact. I was told the property I wanted to view had been sold already to a priority buyer - meaning someone who had met with the J&C mortgage advisor. I explained that I didn't need a mortgage. It became clear the mortgage advisor is considered a necessity if wanting to purchase through J&C. I have never been sent a property by J&C and have not managed to arrange a viewing with them. It's clearly a waste of my time (as a first time buyer with a mortgage in principle in place) to use this estate agent. I just want to buy a property from an estate agent and I don't need a mortgage. TL;DR J&C isn't interested in you as a buyer unless you see their mortgage advisor

Avoid

Avoid. I would never use them again. There must be a reason that only a few people using this estate agent. Sold our house 15k less than the asking price and they said to me we have sold our house at a 'good price'. I didn't get my money back for marketing package cost as promised. Very lay back estate agent, offer accepted and I didn't receive the letter confirmation until 2 weeks after. They didn't do the ID check of the buyer until days after. From my experience, I would not believe whatever they said.

I received poor service from west kirby office

Rang and arranged for evaluation. To begin with a member of staff from west kirby office arrived late. Then rather than give me the evaluation said he would let me know. 24 hours later ive heard nothing. By the way we are selling 2 houses at same time . I rang again and was told they would get back to me , which they didnt. My experience has been no communication and poor service and due to this jc have lost sale of two houses

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible! They show absolutely no care in the world for their tenants! They forget whay they speak to you, they ignore you, and they don't seem to want to respect their contracts. Just for reference, I reported some relatively easy to fix maintentance issues 2 months ago and they still haven't been solved. They are just the worst! Stay away from them if you value your sanity

THE MAIN POINT I WANT TO MAKE HERE IS THAT I WAS MADE TO WRITE A REVIEW IN FRONT OF THE STAFF ON THE DAY I WAS HANDED MY KEYS! Obviously I felt like I couldn't be truthful as I was being watched! This is why I have had to come back and ammend my review! I was a first time buyer. Becky in the office was a great help and talked me through everything I needed. Obviously this was all completely new to me and so she was great when I asked silly questions. However, I found the Sales and progression team very preasuring and unprofessional. My sale took 6 months (due to the chain). I had my Mortgage offer approved straight away and was contacted by the S&P team to ask where I was up to. 2 weeks later I was rang by the SAME person asking the same questions. When i pointed this out she said 'well we have a lot of clients, hard to keep track sorry' Obviously my file hadn't been updated by her previously. I didn't here from them for a few months then, when we were getting near to completion, the pressure was put on me and I was told 'I was holding up the chain' when everything was completed my end and the solicitor was moving as fast as they could! I work away and so missed a few phone calls and was then asked 'Been busy have you?' when I next spoke to them. They made, what should of been an exciting time, rather rubbish.

I am writing this review as a potential Frustrated Purchaser

I am writing this review as a potential purchaser of a house on their site, the house was setup on a “modern auction”, which is short for “estate agent gets a lot of money and everyone else involved either gets less or pays more”. However my feedback is not based on that it’s about the complete lack of transparency of the purchase process or aspect of it.. The property sale page mentions it being sold under “modern auction” and refers to T&C.. and that where it ends with a reference, I searched the site there is no mention of “modern auction” anywhere about from the page where it’s, not what this means including..When the sale isWhat the terms of the sale areLegal pack availability (if any)The cost of the process...Nothing zip zero.. lack of transparency... just a bit but here is the kicker we were told twice VERBALLY only. That the fee was £6k... ( this is on a house with a “guide price of 63k ) no details on whether this was including or excluding VAT. However since it not written down anywhere on the site It could be a arbitrary figure. The “modern auction” is a rip off at the best of times and is under investigation by trading standards, due to lack of transparency. However Jones and Chapman if you are reading this please not there is a huge difference between lack of transparency, and no transparency with no supporting information available on you primary sales portal.

I viewed a property last weekend with the help of Jess from the Moreton branch who was great, really helpful and very informative. I have viewed many properties over the past few months but in terms of organisation and clarity of the viewing with contact before, during and after being a pleasant experience, I would definitely feel comfortable using Jones and Chapman Moreton as my go to estate agent moving forward.

Put house on the market and paid for the overpriced package.Signed contract , monies handed over then that was that. 3 viewings all carried out by me. I was promised an open house, booked a weekend away, never did i hear nor see sales man again once monies exchanged his words were " it's in our interest to find you somewhere to move to" , not even one contact , suggestion or follow up. Put in a complaint it was ignored. Took house off the market. Them some months later received a glossy brochure through the door with my house plastered all over the front as sold subject to terms. All my photos were on leaflet and these were distributed throughout the neighbourhood with no authorisation from me.They offered £50 , they breached their own contract.I didn't take the £50. I would not recommend them.

I decided to choose Jones & Chapman over other competitive estate agents on the high street and I can not express my gratitude enough for all of their hard work and professional approach and attitude. They made me feel welcome and explained every little worry that I may of had. From the moment Peter (sales manager) came around to my property I knew they were the people for me. I briefly met the rest of the team after a quick pop in, Becky and Ben, a real credit to the company. My property was not on the market even a week when it sold, pending contracts. So once again thank you Jones & Chapman of Moreton, Wirral. David Dean.

By far the best mortgage services! As a landlord I am used to dealing with Mortgage Brokers and Advisors on a regular basis, the majority of which seem to be driven by the potential commission and not the best deal for the client, however Megan Davies in the Moreton branch of Jones and Chapman is truly passionate about getting the correct deal for her clients. I highly recommend Jones and Chapman mortgage services in Moreton.

No stars

I’d give no stars if I could. I tried to arrange a viewing but no-one returned my numerous voicemail messages or replied to e-mails. I then discovered that someone who works at the estate agent had put an offer in on the property. Maybe this is why they weren’t keen to contact me, despite the seller still wanting viewings to take place.
