A more than satisfactory experience.

Our objective last October when we approached Jackson-Stops to market our property was to achieve a sale as soon as possible. Market conditions were not favourable and even deteriorated over the winter months. Despite this, Karl Ormerod approached the challenge professionally, liaising with us throughout the process and communicating regularly (not always during standard office hours). Sadly 1 star. My experience with them is they are dishonest and will work within legal frameworks whilst lying to you. Bought a non primary residence in the Cotswolds with them recently, was told the oven was an everhot.. it’s not, it’s a smeg. Was told the property had previously been under offer at the same price.. it hadn’t, it was 150k lower, found out through severe googling this week. Was told the house had been surveyed and ready to go (we of course carried out our own) and lots of issues came up they knew about and didn’t flag. MOST ashamedly, they accepted out of asking and then AFTER doing all of the background checks and mortgage offer etc etc etc they told us that the house had an outstanding land issue (known about by them months before offer was made) that required hundreds of thousands of pounds to be paid to resolve and had no immediate timeline.

A Fantastic team

Highly recommend Jackson-Stops

I worked very closely with Lottie Watts and she ensured that the sale of my house and purchase of my new house went as smoothly as possible. Even though there were a couple of hiccups along the way, Lottie did not expect me to deal with anything, she absolutely took the stress out of the process by being available to speak to all parties and resolved the issues with the minimum of fuss. I would fully recommend using Jackson-Stops to either purchase a property form, or sell your property. I sold and moved into my new house within 4 months of my house going on the market.

Booked a viewing of a property in Knutsford via the Alderley Edge branch. We arrived at our viewing only to find out our viewing had not been booked in the system and we couldn't view the property! The branch manager called me to apologise and she was dumbfounded at what had happened. Clearly the staff member had agreed our viewing but had forgot to book us in, was made to think I was the problem. Waste of a morning travelling to and from Manchester and taking time of work for my wife and I. Terrible service, avoid if possible.

Been recently been purchasing a property with Jackson Stops.Got to point of exchange but had a few issues came up from searches which hadn't been told before tried to get Stephen Cheshire to contact myself but no response only to come to a Friday to be asked are you going to exchange at time had concerns which needed answers.There response was just to put back on market and no response to my email.Even last Friday contacted Stephen and asked if property still available was told yes and sent long email.Noticed today been sold again.Basically been treated very poorly and basically rude.I'm sorry my mother was taken ill on the Friday you asked for exchange but I did email to no response back same as for last Monday.Very unprofessional not even being told vendor was selling elsewhere.

The twists and turns of our property sale and subsequent purchase could have been an entry in the Estate Agents training manual with all the stress and emotion that accompanied the transactions. Using Jackson Stops was definitely the right decision and we were so glad we chose them. From the original listing - the high quality sales material and photos/videos, to handling prospective buyer visits by Will and Shari - were all done with consideration and courtesy. The actual completion was fraught with critical timing issues but Will completely owned it and brought it to the conclusion we were very happy with. We assumed that professional Estate Agency service of the kind we experienced went out in the 1960's but Jackson Stops changed our minds on that and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

What was meant to be the most stressful and difficult thing to do, Sell your House, was made into one of the most straightforward and simple processes. From start to finish Shari Royale went above and beyond to not just make sure that we, the seller, were happy and everything was completed, but also the buyer as well. The personal touch she brought to the deal meant that the transaction was so smooth and an easy handover occured. Still, one month on, she checks in with us to make sure the family is all ok and how are next move has gone.
