Would definitely recommend. Just adding to this review because we've just sold the house. Terrible communication

I would try to steer clear of this company if possible. We have rented a property through this agency and it has been a nightmare. Communication is horrendous, you cannot get hold of anyone at all. We even went into the branch about our queries and still were told that no one was available and someone would contact us (which they didn’t). The property was not ready for us to move into on the agreed date and we were not told about this until we chased and chased about needing more info on moving in.

Absolutely horrendous experience

Do NOT recommend Didsbury - my experience has been one of unprofessionalism and downright unethical practice. Told flat would be cleaned. It wasn’t. Didn’t bother to clear previous tenant electric debt. Infested by hornets and ended up in ED. Mould and damp everywhere. Boiler loose on wall. Downstairs tenant said he had had to pay for dehumidifiers and mould treatment himself. Consider saving yourself a lot of grief.

Excellent, professional service from start to finish. We decided to sell our house through Gascogine Halman after having it valued by Douglas. Doug guided at this early stage giving us to invaluable advice as first time sellers. Special mention must be made to Dev. Dev was our selling agent. He put in some unbelievably hard work from finding a buyer at the beginning guiding us through the process through the middle and working so hard at the end to push things through in a timely manor. Couldn't have asked for anything more from Gascoigne and again, especially Dev. Very professional, proactive and there when we needed him at every step. Would highly recommend and would absolutely use again.

Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with this letting agent. After the landlord withdrew an agreed offer, we were left out of pocket and still have not had our deposit returned. Communication has been poor throughout, with constant delays and little accountability. We felt completely unsupported and ignored when trying to resolve the issue fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this agency. They tried to make us send them thousands of pounds with no contract given then last minute withdrew the offer and are refusing to give the deposit back. Absolutely dreadful agency.

We lost the first sale and felt we weren’t made fully aware of the intended purchasers financial position early enough. However, the final sale went through very quickly. Overall very pleased. The sale of my house was (as is the nature of house selling) a stressful experience; however I could not have chosen a better agency to deal with the sale. Dev was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Thorough, professional, responsive and extremely pro-active. It was paramount that we sold our house before the end of stamp duty and he made this happen. He listened to what we needed and stopped at nothing to achieve it. He is an absolute credit to the GH team and the manger is extremely lucky to be surrounded by staff who genuinely care about making their customers happy and doing their job to the best of their ability (Sophie acted on Dev’s behalf when he was on annual leave and she was also a superstar - they worked together continuously to ensure there were no delays on our end). Awful management and communication

As per all the other negative reviews - terrible communication - poorly written emails, unprofessional in manner and just awful to deal with. From moving into property, water pressure issues and constant cold showers. After months of back and forth was told (by a manager) 'oh well you are on a rolling contract, so you can just find another property' as appose to just having the issue fixed? Turns out it was a pump needed for the boiler, and of course the landlord did not want to pay as it was 'expensive'. It wasn't. Paying over a grand a month for no hot showers and terrible management is expensive. Clearly they prioritise landlords and not tenants. We left as suggested and do not recommend for renting at all - save your self the stress and sour puss faces.
