We have previously had good experiences with Chancellors but unfortunately since we moved in at the start of July there have been constant issues.

GoogleI had a very varied experience with Chancellors in Bicester with my whole sale taking over 11 month. At the start the team communicated well and effort and energy was put into my sale. However after a buyer was found in August 2022 the process was dragged out until Jan 2023 with the buyer unable to produce a mortgage offer. Despite me asking for my options to withdraw from the sale in November/December 2022. This left us paying the mortgage on an empty property for over 4 moths. The sale progression team we unreactive, often called me with incorrect updates and would not chase my buyer any more regularly that once a week even tough I asked for this to be more. I did manage to complete with a new buyer in April 2023 and the in branch staff towards the end of the sale/completion became more more helpful. Pharez and Alistair did at times during the 12 month process help a lot but I feel more could have been done. I sadly would not recommend chancellors and will not be using them again.

GoogleWe were renting a property that was let managed by chancellors. They are absolutely useless. Any email sent would take weeks to month to get a reply. Sending follow ups became our full time job and even after moving out 2 months ago, we still have to send them constant emails. The finance department in particular is bad. They have previously made errors that results in us and our garuantor being harassed for “missed rent” when we had agreed to reduce our rent for some items we had to buy for the flat. Now 2 months after we have moved out, they are holding money that we are owed hostage and keep claiming they are sending it back but it never comes. Honestly, a shocking level of service and we haven’t experienced anything worse in 9 years combined renting (even as students).

GoogleThe agency is very professional and specially their agents are very competent. We had our property shown by Ms Szofia who was very through in explaining all aspects of renting in the area. She took lot of effort to show us the exact distance from the house to the local schools and grocery. This we thought was a great touch as we have rented all over the world and our immediate concern would be what area is good for our children and if you don’t drive where to go and make best use of the locally available amenities. If you are new to the area I would definitely recommend the Chancellor for all your property needs.

GoogleI found Frankie Poole's customer service to be exceptional. I walked into the offices of Chancellor Bicester at 8am instead of her requesting that I return at 9 am, as the offices open at that time. She graciously and cheerfully opened the door and offered me a seat. She handed me a form and instructed me to come during office hours. When I returned, she was still extremely pleasant and walked me through the process in detail and with the interest of meeting my needs as she wanted to understand my situation. When I left her offices after an hour, she had already emailed me about five properties to view. I chose just one property. The property I selected met all of my requirements.We have signed a written agreement for renting the house. I greatly value Frankie Poole's services. She have been in constant contact in processing the lease agreement and she has been exceedingly kind and helpful. Regards Sitholindlela Mavengere

GoogleEasily the best lettings agency by far! The only one that would consistently be in touch with my sister and I and help us work around our work schedules and still find a suitable place. Also amazing at helping us considering we have a dog! I can’t recommend them more highly! Zsofia was always attentive and just overall lovely to speak to and see at viewings. She was great at answering all our questions and finding information if she didn’t have it at the time. GoogleEven though we ended up finding our place via a different agency I am thankful for Zsofia's attentive attitude and friendly, but professional manner in which she assisted our search from the initial information gathering all the way to organising the viewings for us.
