GoogleWe have been searching for our new house for over 3 years and have relied on Fine and Country’s excellent service for most of that time. They have a very good selection of properties in Sutton and Cheam and have friendly agents, in particular Sharon Porter, who has played a key role in helping us find our recently-purchased dream home. She has been with us throughout our journey, calling us promptly to arrange an appointment whenever a new house comes to the market and recommending extremely suitable homes to our liking. Though we were perhaps picky about choosing our new home, and viewed many houses, she never made us feel uncomfortable at all. We feel she has gone the extra mile not only in recommending, but also helping us in securing our dream home. GoogleI don’t like to be negative but I feel I should express the frustration at dealing with your branch when trying to find my forever home and as feedback is a gift, maybe this can help you improve your service. I viewed a property through you and what followed was a rather impersonal experience. No follow up calls, no further detail on the questions we had asked at the time of viewing, just a blanket email asking for final offer to be submitted. I called to speak to Adrian about the process and whilst I appreciate it’s your approach to things, it felt cold. I think if you adopted a more personal approach and improved on your communication that it would really benefit you as a business, like another estate agent in the village who is not part of a chain. I understand the pandemic increased workloads and as you were inundated with calls you probably felt you could afford to be more distant from your clients, but I’d suggest looking at this approach as the world returns to normal as you lost my custom from both a selling and buying perspective. I hope you take this onboard and put things in place to improve your process.NegativeResponsiveness

Many thanks for your feedback, Fine and Country welcome all feedback, positive or negative and strive to deliver the best service. Its unusual to receive such feedback more than a year after the events took place without having received any direct communication of concern and as with every conversation context is important to understand dynamic events. Following unequalled World events, Estate agents were fortunate enough to be one of the first industries to start work after the lockdown; new working requirements, continued social distancing and uncertainty of the ongoing events challenged everyone. You viewed the property with Fine and Country on Saturday 27/06/20, due to the unprecedented demand we hosted many pre booked viewings and received multiple offers. To allow every viewer fair opportunity and to ensure we delivered the best outcome for the seller we created a system asking all offers to be made within a time frame. To help explain the process in detail we emailed and discussed this with you on the 30/06/20, essentially you felt it unhelpful to not provide a figure which would be successful, of course to do so would have removed all neutrality and equal opportunity for all buyers and this was explained. Unfortunately you wasn’t successful and we contacted you again on the 02/07/20 to inform you of this. Lastly we continued to update you with newly available property over the proceeding months and urgently wanted to help you move. If we can ever be of assistance in the future please do not hesitate to contact us.

GoogleWhile looking for a house, we spoke to many estate agents but in end Sharon Porter helped us in getting what we were looking for. During the process, she has been very understanding and flexible with us. She was always available to show the house multiple times at short notice. She was open to share her experiences on the area and recommending the properties which she thinks will fit our needs. So if anyone is looking to buy or sell property, I recommend speak with her 😊

GoogleWe sold our house through F&C, Sam valued the property expertly and the house was sold quickly in a slower market. Sam/John helped through the process thereafter and were communicative and Sam did a brilliant job at the end to finalise the exchange/completion and ensure deadlines within the chain were met.

A very smooth process and great professional attitude, we have managed to exchange in 8 weeks after the offer was accepted, mainly thanks to good communication and commitment on both sides.

GoogleI would like to warn potential buyers when viewing “Open Day properties”, The manager and his team seem to already have a buyer in mind. It seems an exercise carried out to fool the seller. This is what actually gives the estate agency business a bad name, maybe common practice for the agents but the losers are the sellers/buyers. The term “grease someone’s palm” comes to mind. So pls consider these so called “Open Days”

As a business we pride ourselves on transparency. The suggestion of hosting an open day to simply sell to a pre-determined buyer is an illogical fallacy as the very nature of an open day allows for full market exposure and the sellers choice and buyers level playing field. Worryingly we have no record of ‘Tom Smith’ having viewed any property with Fine and Country Cheam, similarly we haven’t received any direct communication in relation to this experience or view from any party under any name.

GoogleFine & Country at Cheam have been excellent throughout the process, delivering on everything they promised and more. They always kept you informed, arranged lots of viewings, offered good advice throughout and have persisted through a long, difficult sales process (due to probate being required) and challenging economic times. I know people like to say "I don't know what estate agents do for the money?" but this certainly wasn't the case with F&C in Cheam - they absolutely earnt every penny and deserve credit for a great service. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks - your help was much appreciated.
