GoogleWhether was having emails completely ignored, or being told I'd get a call back, but never would. The customer service was horrible. Then they stole a deposit from me. Worst experience with a lettings agency I've had.

GoogleHave been emailing Cliftonville office, calling head office, Cliftonville office and ramsgate office but no response, no phones answered, so if you own a ground floor flat in Goodwin Court you may have lost a tenant which is a shame as I really want to live there

The timeframe I have had to sort accomodation between being offered my contract and starting work has been relatively short so finding a property of such high standard has been a huge relief. I had seen good reviews about Oakwood before contacting them and was not dissapointed. GoogleI received such a lovely experience with Oakwood homes. Very polite, helpful and really made me feel at ease through accepting my new home and doing all the paperwork. Especially at these most difficult and stressful times due to the pandemic. I would highly recommend this company to absolutely anyone possible, as they were not rude, they were polite and I often had a laugh with them too. Very professional, and understanding. I had Alexander Baker and he has been a miracle worker for me as I stupidly turned down a property I got accepted for having changed my mind he was able to really get in there and change it all for me. And for that me and my son will be forever grateful as we now have our forever home and can start our new chapter of our life’s. And that’s all thanks to Oakwood Homes mainly Alexander Baker who is a huge credit to the company. Thankyou once again. GoogleOakwood Homes have been amazing. Hayley in the Birchington office originally dealt with us when viewing a property, and was really helpful and honest. She then put us in touch with Darren from the Margate office to help sell our property. As soon as we met him we were confident with putting our property on the market with him, and 2 weeks later, following a large number of viewings, we accepted an offer on it. We can't thank the Oakwood team enough for how efficient they've been and how easy they were to get hold of (Darren even replying to several emails out of hours and helping us along the way) Thanks guys,

GoogleWe received great service when looking to rent a property...I was amazed at how hard the staff work to help you. The staff were in constant communication with us, never left us wondering and were a great help with explaining the steps and everything included as this was our first time going through an estate agents due to poor service many years ago with a different agency. Kate, Lorraine and Nicky are particularly fantastic a real credit to the company.

Other letting agents haven't even got back to me in the time it's taken for Oakwood to find me a property and almost complete the process.

GoogleAs a tenant.. AVOID. The service was ok from the letting agents to begin with. 1st issue, they sell your data so you a bombared with nusinance calls, this is after we both opted OUT, with accounts opened up with new companies without autherization. The accounts department is stuck in the 80's, we had to wait for 5 days for a card payment to process, even once approved at a terminal, which suggests there is not faith in the banking system or do not know how to run their accounts department. To make matters worse, the advised me 4:30pm, the day before you move. Having had no emails from the them since paying the referencing fees, the call was anyones worst nightmare. The house was filthy, this was a shame as they had inspected in a the previous day. All in all just another dodgey company...
We are very so sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the service you have received from Oakwood homes, this is most unusual, so would like to address this with you personally; to make sure we have the correct tenant (as your name is not shown) please call 01843 222700 and ask for Teresa Dickinson, Lettings Director. To put your mind at rest, all data is fully protected under GDPR. Tenants are always asked for consent to agree that their data may be released on completion to a third party utility provider to ensure they are receiving the most competitive quote on the market. Our terms concerning payments are laid out to tenants once their offer has been accepted and unfortunately we are governed by the relevant banks/credit card companies as to their clearance time. Whilst it will show as an immediate debit to the client’s account these can be cancelled or ‘clawed back’ as payments, so it is due diligence on behalf of our Landlords that all card payments reach our account before we can commence a tenancy. We offer the option of bank transfer of funds for immediate payments where time is of the essence. When a property is not fully managed by us, we have limited control of the level of cleanliness and can only make recommendations to the relevant Landlord. Once again please accept our apologies if you have been unhappy with our service and we look forward to hearing from you so that the issues you have experienced may be addressed personally.
