GoogleWe sold our house last year with Nicola Estate agents and we didn’t have a good experience. We didn’t appreciate the way Mark talked to us, no friendly or helpful during the selling process at all. We felt the valuation was very low and we regretted choosing them. I would not recommend their services. May be if you are buying the experience may be different but for selling I would not use this estate agent again.
Dear Mrs Perilla, I am both surprised and very disappointed in your review. With regards to the valuation we valued your home in December 2021 at £320,000 then revalued in spring 2022 at £325,000. You came on the market a few months later in June 2022 at £325,000. There was ample time for you to consider the pricing and given you were renting with another agent you had time to get other opinions. We then booked 44 viewings on your home. You settled on an offer of £320,000 after 6/7 weeks after we started. It would be fair to say we worked hard and your decision to accept was not done in haste. I kept you up to date throughout the transaction and was able to answer any questions when you had them. Yes I had to chase you continually to get things done so the sale could progress. The sale exchanged on the 4th of November at the originally agreed price. You seem to forget that whilst your sale was going through the market was collapsing and the mortgage market went into a state of chaos leaving many sellers without buyers. I pushed and chased you to get things done so your buyer did not pull out or reoffer as many were. The service you received throughout was excellent and at no point did you ever complain, raise or insinuate you were unhappy in the 11 months we had been working together. I have to ask why on the 8th of November you emailed me to as me to come and value your home as per below. "In the mean time, would you be able to do a valuation to our current house?" If we had been so awful have you have stated this does seem a very odd thing to ask. We wish you all the best in the future.

GoogleI recently sold a leasehold flat through them in central Reading, working primarily with Gareth and Mark. Among the near dozen agencies I met, their fee was the most competitive, but through the process, I did not at any stage feel like I was receiving a reduced quality of service because of it. Indeed, I don't know how any other agency could have done better. NEA produced an effective Ad that quickly generated dozens of viewings. Their communication regarding viewing appointments was faultless. I was partially present for some of the viewings, and was happy with how they were conducted. For reasons beyond NEA's control, the process of getting an agreed sale to completion was complicated and stressful. However, Mark displayed great patience, effort, initiative, the ability to think outside the box, and the willingness to work outside office hours in driving the sale to successful completion, which is what you need if you sale is inevitably going to be difficult. I would not hesitate to recommend NEA, whether it's for selling or letting your property. Indeed, I have already recommended them to friends.

GoogleDecided to ignore us after requesting a photo of the carpets at a property we were keen to rent. Said they were too busy and then ignored all further emails. Completely blanked by even the manager. Dodged a massive bullet. Reply to owner’s response: We only found out that the property had been let because we looked online at the advert. Your reply came days later. We understand if demand is high, but you just had to let us know. We also found staff to be quite rude on the phone.
Thank you for taking a moment to comment on your experience with NEA Lettings however your review is grossly unfair, you were never ignored. We provide full marketing details including photos, room by room description and a virtual video. As you are abroad, we carried out a live virtual viewing with you via WhatsApp on the 1st and my colleague, as per your request zoomed into the carpet. We followed up with you on the 2nd via email. You replied by email on the 3rd and received a response the same day about the carpets. By this stage we had multiple offers from people who had physically been to the property. In the afternoon of the 4th (a Friday) you sent an email requesting photo of the carpet to which my colleague responded to on Monday 7th confirming property had been let. We are sorry that you have missed out on this property and work regularly with applicants who are overseas so appreciate the difficulties you face with your relocation. We wish you all the best with your move.

GoogleMark and the whole Nicholas Estate Agents team have redefined what I think is the role of an estate agent. Instead of just trying to sell your property and stopping at the point a purchaser is found, they stay focused on actually making the sale happen. They knit the whole process together by ensuring solicitors communicate with each other all the way through. They kept me up to date on what was happening without me ever having to chase them for information and they always returned calls quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Nicholas Estate Agents.
