I just wanted to say how absolutely amazing all the staff at the Castleford office have been. From booking the valuation after speaking with Lily she took her time to get all my information about my property and what I was looking for and booked me a mortgage appointment. I then had Rachel visit my home who can I say was absolutely amazing with me and my little girl. She was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I had a few valuations from different agents and she stood out way above the rest! I then sat down with the mortgage advisor at the branch everyone was so welcoming and happy to help in anyway they could. The advisor went through everything and found me a deal I was super happy with. My house then went on the market we had viewings straight away. Lily kept in contact with me about properties for my onward move and got me to view one that I wouldn’t have initially looked at but we LOVED it and have since had an offer accepted. The process has been really smooth and the team are just fantastic. So I just want to say from the bottom of my heart! THANK YOU!!!!! Xxxxx

Just wanted to leave a review of my experience of using William H Brown - Castleford in the sale of my home. I had three estate agents come out to value my property in February, Richard Kendal, Bradley’s and William H Brown. Rachel from William H Brown was lovely, friendly and knowledgable. Out of all the estate agents she was the only one to come really prepared, with information on local sales in the area and addressed all questions I had with understanding. She was an absolute credit to the team and one of the main reasons I decided to go with this estate agent. Everything was quick moving with photographer booked and on the market within a few days. The girls worked really hard to secure viewings and we sold within 10 days on the open market! All the staff at this branch are lovely, nothing was too much hassle. Special mention to Kelsie and Chloe, they chased up with both solicitors and kept me updated - took the hassle out of that for me. I’ve now exchanged and in the process of packing up my home. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this branch again and would happily recommend them.

Unfortunately had a rather bad experience, they took over half a year to get just 3 viewings and kept trying to get me to knock huge amounts off the asking price which had already gone down by 100k. Once an eager cash buyer came along they never picked up the phone and had an awfully long turnaround for emails. The buyer nearly walked away as he couldn’t put his offer in, luckily I gave him my mobile during the viewing. Net result I had to negotiate the offer with the buyer (which was full asking price so no reductions where required) then had to help him get his proof of funds and ID sorted as they didn’t seem interesting in processing his offer, and then did all the hard work chasing the solicitors through the process whilst William H Brown just write me an invoice for nearly 6k for doing absolutely nothing in the process and not having a clue what the solicitors were doing! I feel scammed, avoid at all costs!

Highly recommend William H Brown Castleford, they sold our house in under a week. Constant contact throughout, always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Annabel is lovely who assisted us with our mortgage not only did she work on her days off she also has genuine interest in you as a person and getting to know you and Chloe the branch manager was always giving us endless reassurance throughout the solicitor stages and finally helping us get to move day by constantly chasing updates on our behalf. They all go above and beyond. All the girls are amazing and so positive. We knew we’d made the right decision choosing this branch and Would definitely use again in the future.

We had a complexed sale due to a boundary issue on the land of the house we were selling. William H Brown were always there to help chase solicitors, reassure us or just let us have a rant. There was always somebody there to speak to and answer any questions we had. We found them really helpful and supportive throughout. We cant thank them enough for keeping us sane throughout the year and a half it tooks us to sell our house and a few chains falling through too. We would recommend William H Brown to anyone looking to sell their property.
