Not impressed at all with this company, they do not communicate with client, buyer or solicitors. Appear very apathetic, I felt like I was doing all the chasing for information. Took on the sale of my property in early December 2016 found a buyer in March 2017 whom I was told was a cash buyer no chain after been given 3 closing dates over a period of 4 months and various excuses as to why the sale wasnt progressing I decided to move to a different agent. Very disappointed, feel like I've wasted 7 months.

The whole team at Shipways Castle Bromwich have been superb in our remortgage. Darren Tuft has found us an excellent new mortgage deal that will be saving us £350 a month compared to our old agreement. That's £21k we won't give to the old lender over the next 5 years! Yes it's fair to say the team have really impressed us. And we will definitely be back in 5 years time when the fixed term runs out.

Our experience with Shipways was a nightmare from start to finish. Initially we were told all about the wonderful service that they offer, this was short lived. For over 12 months we constantly had to chase Shipways for updates, which most of the time we had to update them as they knew little of what was going on. Their response to phone calls was poor, their message box was always full and calls were rarely returned. Shipways failed to communicate with our solicitors, buyers and developers on several occasions, which meant that exchange dates were constantly being changed. When we finally did exchange and complete, we even had to call Shipways to ask about the hand over of keys!! Even after we complained about the poor service, things did not get any better. We were very keen to use a small local estate agent but to say that we were disappointed with their service and lack of professionalism is an understatement.

As we were not familiar with the process, he was very helpful and was happy to take phone calls or reply to emails to answer any questions which we had and offer us advice. Overall he wss very helpful and would recomend him to others. Especially first time buyers who may need a bit of advice along the way.

Lost over £500 in solicitor and mortgage fees because I was lied to by these for nearly 6 months about the progress on my purchase - until I took things into my own hands and called up the leasehold company to check what’s going on. found out the seller is in a serious dispute with them and they’d never release the sale docs - meaning he’d never sell the flat!!!!! Waste of time and money!!!!!!!!!! If I was rich I’d sue you even though it’s for £500 and not more. You ruin peoples lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Had my viewing at 1.20. so I arrived 5mins early and was told to wait outside the house by the agent for a moment whilst he sorts something out.. 1.35 and I'm still waiting in the cold with no communication from the estate agent. I wouldn't mind usually just I had booking with other estate agents for other houses and wouldn't want to be late for them. Contacted shipways by email about 2 properties that I was interested in. They sent an email to me to fast track my application, I haven’t been contacted since. I have tried ringing them for 2 weeks now. Every time when I ring they don’t answer. I would advise not to use this estate agents as they don’t communicate with you.

Although the buying process was new and frustrating at times, Nicky & Leanne always made sure they were available to offer advice and support. The team were fantastic and couldn't fault them. The staff at Shipways have been excellent. Scott in particular, thank you. Going the extra mile from adding extra photos, editing descriptions and conducting viewings etc. However. Do not use their reccomended solicitors Talbot's Law. They lost us our purchase due to incompetence, slow work and lack of organisation. Spent a little extra time finding your own!

We have recently used Shipways Castle Brom for the sale of our house. The sales team were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We also used their financial advisor Darren who was simply amazing throughout the whole process. He couldn't do enough to help and nothing was too much trouble.
