GoogleOne star but only for the Director of Professional Standards who was helpful and who we had to turn to due to the appalling ‘communication’ from the staff of the Carlisle office. Completely lacking in empathy, their approach was quite shocking. They emphasise their ‘client’ (how antiquated) without any consideration of the buyer’s experience. Without a buyer they have no seller, but they seemed unaware of this. What is worst about the office culture there is they seem to have no awareness of how truly badly they behave. This is delusional at best and extremely rude at worst. No empathy whatsoever, awkward, condescending, patronising and rude. I’ve bought and sold houses all over the UK and abroad and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with an estate agent. The potential buying process took months during which time we were made to feel as though we were being done a favour just to be informed of the smallest thing. In the end we had to pull out due to issues which could have been identified far earlier. They blamed this on the seller but there was evidently a paucity of communication going on there between them and the seller also. We still had to pay the solicitor so wish to thank them for this also. I’m glad to see some others didn’t receive this level of service. Training in basic customer service is required.

GoogleThe guy who did the initial valuation of our house was great. And that’s where it stopped. No communication other than email on offers made. The offers made on houses weren’t submitted then feedback after that was none existent. Wrong information sent to solicitors, rude I could go on. We used this company about 12 years ago and they were great so this was a go to. Never again. I wouldn’t ask these people to sell the kids football club spot the ball!! Avoid.

The communication was exceptional and throughout the process they gave me regular updates and check-in's to keep me up to speed with everything that was happening. Wherever possible they helped to streamline the process and make it as efficient and stress-free as it could be, which was very much appreciated, especially when these things can be so stressful at times. GoogleWe have used other branches of H&H before - always helpful and approachable...the agents really seem to want to help. This time, we found a property to buy! When we first viewed the property, it was still under government Covid restrictions but this wasn't the agent's fault. We were stuck in a difficult chain and James liaised well with the different parties. He persuaded sellers to remain on-board. The offices are friendly and easily located. Would definitely use them again.
