We finally got here! Everyone we spoke with at West Wales were polite and more than happy to assist us. A special shout out to Lakshmi and Kate. It was a long annoying process due to solicitors but Kate’s tenacity was incredible and did so much chasing on our behalf and Kate and Lakshmi kept us informed. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

We completed last week on the house we have been searching for four nearly 4 years! Lakshmi made the process as painless as possible and kept us in the loop at all times. Even when things got heated towards the end, she did her best to manage everyone in the chain and help us get over the line rather sooner than expected due to pressure from further up the chain. We have just moved into our new home bought through West Wales Properties Cardigan and cannot recommend Lakshmi Wynter there enough. She was always so helpful and understanding and we felt truly looked after. Lakshmi would always answer or return our calls, often after office hours too, nothing was too much trouble. Even on the day of the move she was there waiting with the key to welcome us at the house as we had arrived so late. She made the whole buying process quite seamless. Lakshmi has an extensive and detailed knowledge of the area and always communicated sensitively and thoughtfully with all parties. In comparison to other estate agents we have come across and had dealings with this past year she really has been outstanding. We cannot thank her enough for all her support and really going above and beyond.

BE WARNED. If you're considering buying through West Wales Properties you should seriously consider your options. We've just had a terrible experience. We've seen information withheld, emails ignored, detailed structural issues on a survey denied and ignored and despite our best efforts to communicate and do a fair deal, we've been dismissed and the property in question, Bronhawen in Pontgarreg near Llangrannog has gone back on the market despite it's structural defects, it's serious damp issues, it's broken roof and it's need for modernisation. We've been particularly frustrated and offended by the lack of effort from Lakshmi. If you're considering this agency or this property and would like access to our full survey, it will be going live in local property groups on social media and on it's own dedicated website. We're now £3K down and this property is still being marketed without any sign of our survey findings being published by the agent or even acknowledged by way of price reduction from the vendor. Shameful practice. Do better.

Information was slow or unforthcoming. The house we were interested in, after a first visit, was taken off the market but this was not conveyed to us. The person we spoke with to arrange the second viewing seemed surprised that we did not know it was unavailable. The house we eventually bought was the last place we saw out of desperation. The photos on the website were out of date and did not do the property justice - truly we only requested a viewing because we had to book accommodation in the area and the house viewing made up numbers. Information given by us was not immediately forwarded to the vendor. There was a 2 week delay because of this. Had the vendor not provided us with her phone number when we viewed the first time this delay would have been greater. Neither party received the best service. The For Sale board for both the house we bought and the property which was taken off the market are still in place.

Thankfully the original West Wales properties took back control and within a couple of months our property was sold.
