When you are looking for an apartment in a new city and have less idea of about the city, finding a good estate agency and estate agent is a great blessing. Indeed Taylors Letting Cardiff Bay and espcially Harriet have been bleesing for us, as we were moving from Belfast. Harriet has been great all along, very polite, professional, extremely reliable and is indeed best. She is always reachable which can be so much assuring and is patient with all the doubts one would have. The entire process was very smooth because of her prompt communication and transparency. Without a doubt the worst company I have had to deal with. Stay clear! The issues with the agency started from the 1st day of my tenancy as I went to the office to pick up the keys and they were very surprised to see me as they had forgotten all about arranged date for the specific property. They tried to push me to collect the keys in a day or 2 which is bizarre as I had a van booked to move my furniture which would've meant me losing money as well as time with zero compensation offered. After talking to them they did get someone to clean the flat in a rush and do an inventory report which was fine as we were able to grab the keys towards the end of the day. But then then incompetence continued sadly as the flat was fully furnished when we opened it even though it was advertised as unfurnished and we double checked with the agent when viewing it if all the furniture will be removed before us moving in which she confirmed. We then had to wait a few days for a collection to be arranged which happened but they didn't collect all the furniture and we had to wait a few more days for a second collection. Needless to say we couldn't move all of our stuff because there was not enough space since the agency screwed up massively and we had to wait more than a week until we picked up the keys for the property to be at the state in which it should have been to begin with. This all was without any compensation on their part by the way. The tenancy itself was fairly okay mostly because we didn't have any major issues although there was a period where the lights in the hallway didn't work and the agency couldn't reach the landlord for months so that the issue could be fixed. And then to top it off now after leaving the property I have to deal with their deposits department which is equally incompetent as we cleaned the property to a good standard and they've charged us £325 for the end of tenancy clean. - Unfurnished - Wooden floors - 60 sq meters - Only tricky parts to clean were fridge and oven and both we and the inventory inspector took photos that prove the cleanliness was good. They have no itemised invoice to show why the cost is that high and the company they use has no before/after images. Oh, and we send them quotes from 3 different companies in Cardiff that were between £90-175 for the same price. 2 years ago our previous agency charged us £90 for a 2 bed that had carpet floors and was fully furnished with 2 beds, desks and sofas so even accounted for inflation their price is extortionate. Now apparently because they have this all powerful invoice there's nothing they can do about it but I'm more than happy to take them to small claims court as this is ridiculous. Final thoughts - stay as far away as possible

She put up with my father and I routinely pestering her on the progress of my application to the new flat, even though most of the problems were out of her hands and were instead in those of my then employers. Don’t bother using them

So we booked the appointment well in advance it was fine then I received three phone calls from three different people then I got told that one of their viewers had gone sick and blah blah blah and I said forget it. Do you know what if you can’t be bothered to communicate properly with each other and phone me over the same things and send me 20 odd emails or thanking me for picking you I can’t be bothered because I can’t guarantee you’re gonna sell my house properly. Don’t bother using them.
