GoogleKirsten was an absolute pleasure to work with, flexible and very understanding particularly with my busy work schedule.
The flat I viewed did not disappoint as she explained prior to viewing. Extremely professional team all round, got back to my queries very quickly and answered all my questions.
I must also give credit to Luke, the agent I initially had contact with, he was very pleasant and liaised with the Landlord very quickly. Its a shame they won't be managing the property as they are a wonderful team! :)PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleSo I booked an app to view a property today about 4 days ago. Last night I had a missed call from Peter Alan at 17.42, I tried to call back but no answer. I also checked my answerphone, no message left. So I turned up for the app at 9am and called the canton office and left a voicemail. Still no one arrived at 9.30 so called the office again, this time someone answered and said my app was cancelled as they had enough viewing on the property. I find this really odd as no answerphone message was left and why would you not want the best possible price for the seller. The agent that answered said he did leave a message on my voicemail... NO YOU DID NOT AND I DOUBLE CHECKED. You wasted my time and didn't act in the best interest of the seller so beware if you are selling and if they turn up for app if you are viewing.

GoogleI had the displeasure of dealing with a Peter Alan in Canton as a landlord last year when I trusted them to let out my property. The amount of lies they told both me and the tenants was ridiculous.
I told Peter Alan I wanted a family to move in and they reassured me this was the case. When it came to moving in, I saw 5 men moving their furniture inside my property, and when asked, they said Peter Alan were aware about this and confirmed to them that apparently I said I was okay with 5 single men moving in!
To top things off, this was also the time two of their agents that I was dealing with to rent out my property suddenly quit, leaving me hanging, without any communication. I was scrambling trying to figure out what to do. This is the point their regional manager got involved and once told about all the lies of Peter Alan, tried to blame it on the tenants! What he didn’t know, however, was that I had spoken to the tenants as we had a mutual friend who confirmed that Peter Alan had blamed things going wrong on me, the landlord!
Eventually, I dissolved the contract and went to Taylor’s estate agents. Absolutely do not let out your property through Peter Alan if you are a landlord. They are dishonest.

GoogleBeen trying to call your canton branch for well over 3 days why does nobody bother to answer the phone? Great communication from other Peter Alan branches just not this one! Been dealing with Aneurin and his attitude absolutely stinks, not helpful in the slightest in trying to get you into a property. Quick replies and responses when they want there cut of commission money but won’t bother responding when they’ve taken your personal and banking details for “vetting”, every other branch seems to be lovely with nice staff who are helpful. Just doesn’t seem to be the case with this one.

GooglePeter Alan and especially Joel has been 100% pleasure to deal with. Joel was able to negotiate everything I needed/wanted. His responses were always quick and to the point. Whole tenancy application took about a week and there has been no problems whatsoever. Process was smooth and well documented. I am 100% sure that if I will ever need help in finding place to rent I will prioritise properties managed by Peter Alan and Joel. Having dealt with about 10 agents/agencies i just have to say that Peter Alan is well above everything in Cardiff area.

GoogleUpdate: been 18 days still very little solved .
I have to say I am pretty disappointed, they rented me a property without hot water, without all the legal smoke alarms, with a broken stove, broken fridge, broken washing machine.
Urine stained mattress, stained carpets.
During telling them about the problems which I noticed right away after getting the keys, I was told I have to plumb the washing machine in myself, every other enquire has just been "I will request the landlord to do it"
So far its day six and still no hot water, still broken appliances, nothing has been done I havent been able to even live in my own home been living in my mothers. Will seek compensation when this is sorted if it ever will be.
Writing this review in hopes they will press the landlord to meet their legal requirements

GoogleFirstly, I can confirm that this is an honest and impartial review and should any of those named feel flattered then they needn’t - it is simply the truth.
I called Peter Alan on Friday because we really liked the look of a property that happened to have an opening the following day. Liam answered the phone and we hit it off from the start. He took my details to register us and that was that. He asked how long we had been looking, so I gave him an honest answer: “36 hours”.
He gave us a slot at 11:15am remarking that we could view the property in private rather than have the awkwardness of having other perspective buyers present - which was very thoughtful of him. I remarked that I didn’t really care, I don’t do awkward having been blessed with little in the way of shame.
We arrived at the viewing promptly with none of the usual trepidation that is customary when entering the domain of the ‘salesperson’, having built an immediate rapport with him the day before - we were actually looking forward to meeting with him.
We were looking at the house as our next potential move, but being landlords ourselves, we normally meet estate agents with one intention in mind: get in and out, with or without the property but minus a mobile phone contract, a brand new car, a re-mortgage of the family home or the purchase of the salesperson’s deceased grandmother.
We were immediately greeted by Liam, a friendly and amiable young man who was just as fabulous as he was on the phone, and who was to be our eye candy for the viewing.
Liam, he with a smile that could melt the arctic and hair that even someone from Essex would be in awe of, showed us around and we spoke a little about the house, but he actually wanted to know about us, which was unexpected and put us at ease. All in all, it was a rather entertaining experience and unfortunately the house needed more work than we anticipated.
As we were viewing the property, a pair of poindexters came early for their viewing slot, they sort of slumped from room to room muttering like trolls and generally trying to dampen a rather jovial mood. Eye rolls at the ready. Did they succeed...? No they did not. I had a chuckle at their expense but Liam remained professional and un-phased.
Then it came down to business.
“So, what do you think?” Liam asked.
“Well...” I started. “It’s a beautiful house but it’s not for us.”
“It’s ok, it’s your first viewing,” he replied.
“Liam... it’s not you, it’s me...” for that moment all other beings seemed not to exist in the world and it was just us. It might have even been deemed a very tender moment in some parts of Illinois or Seattle.
“It’s okay,” he responded as any gentleman should, but I could see that he was hurt. I offered him the bunch of flowers that the home owner had clearly popped in the vase to ‘brighten the place up’ and that seemed to do the trick.
The funny thing is, it actually played out like this. So we had bantz.
That afternoon he sent an email saying that he enjoyed meeting with us (and the feeling was more than mutual). I don’t know if he does this with all his perspective clients but it was a nice touch. The truth is we have not viewed another property since and not yet registered with any other agencies... time is limited at the moment and we trust that now Liam has our requirements he will contact us with quality rather than quantity.
I am known for not suffering fools gladly and Liam was outstanding. Not really a salesperson at all, just a lovely guy who will simply introduce you to the house of your dreams... and for us this will come in time. And if you don’t find it first off, then he certainly makes the experience enjoyable until then.
If you truly want a personable, friendly, no pressure approach then go to Liam. I would definitely recommend him to those who trust my judgement.
Now for the small print: time wasters and carpet treaders need not apply. Finance subject to status. Offer ends at the end of the testimonial and T’s and C’s apply.

GoogleI ow a big thank you to Lisa Atwell for taking good care of me threw all the years I have been with Peter Alan.
So "THANK YOU VERY MUCH".
The only reason I have given 4 stars is because I didnt choose to leave. I was asked to leave my property that I had lived at for roughly 9 years. The landlord isued us with a section 21 from no fault of my own. I would say it was because he wanted to make more money.
But all in all I am in a much better higher quality property now then before & I am really happy I moved.
So thank you to all the staff at the Canton branch for all your great service especialy the lovely atractive beatuiful Lisa Atwell😊

GoogleI am a commercial landlord who has instructed them on a block of 8 apartments
Not a single payment has been made on time or in an orderly fashion
Statements often incorrect
Blunt staff answer the phone and say "nothing to do with me it's accounts call them"
And heaven first a tenant pays them a rent by error on the 24th of June no attemp to track the correct payee but after two weeks of chasing and 7 days to reply to an email by Joanne Goodwin further 7 days and still nothing
100s of agents landlords do yourselves a favour and don't bother

GoogleWe had a terrible experience trying to buy a house with Peter Alan.
We agreed a price with the vendor only for the agents to go missing for 6 weeks causing the sale to fall through. The office in canton did not respond to calls and emails at all. When we did get in touch they would make promises to call us back and never would. We even considered contacting the vendor directly to let them know how poorly the agent was representing them.
It was honestly a terrible experience and everyone we dealt with at the beach was either incompetent or lazy. If you are buying or selling a property in Cardiff I would stay well away from Peter Alan.

GoogleBooked to view a rental property after lunch one weekend. Came down from London to Cardiff to view which is a 4.5hr coach ride. Agent called to change appointment because the current tenant had been on nights and was sleeping. Didn't they know this when we booked it? They said that we couldn't go until 15.30, we said that was the latest we could do as our coach back was at 16.00. They called at 15.00 asking if we could do 16.30 then cancelled. We wasted the whole afternoon waiting around for them organise themselves.
Booked again the following weekend to see the same property, mid week. Agents kept calling on the day but confirmed our appointment was at 16.30. They called at 15.00 saying an agent was at the property at 14.30 and why hadn't we turned up? So much faffing about calling backwards and forwards, complained that they didn't know what they were doing and then they said they could meet us at 15.30 but didn't know if the keys worked!!!!!
Seriously poor service, poor communication between staff that either they don't care or they don't know how to run a business. No organisation what so ever.
Questioning whether it's actually worth seeing the property as if this is how they run a business then we don't want to sign with them. I am appalled. Not a good start to a new life in Cardiff.

GoogleJodie went above and beyond. With her help we managed to get the first house we looked at a lower price than we thought possible. She also took the time to explain the whole process to two complete first time buyers (and later all over again to my parents) to make sure we understood and had all the right paperwork in order. Within a week we had a house and a mortgage! Thank you so much!

GoogleThis branch is an fine example of rude agents who call just to hang up once they recognise foreign accents. Just to let you know, the referencing process doesn’t entail excluding potential customers based on only their cultural backgrounds, this is called discrimination!
This branch is a stellar contrast from the other Peter Alan branches, the HQ should take a closer look at this branch’s employees conduct if they don’t want their good reputation tarnished.

FacebookVery poor service. Contacted me about pricing house for rental. Date and time agreed, then within 24 hours asked to rearrange a day later which was ok. Finished work early to be at home ready and they did not turn up. A week later and I have received no phone call or email explaining. If this is how they treat potential customers then I would keep well away.
