I booked a viewing for today to view a rental in Roath. I turned up at the allocated time and had a confirmation message from the companies staff member. The staff member did not arrive so as The Roath branch was on the same Road as the rental I went in to enquire. I was informed that the property was being managed by a Peter Alan branch not in Roath. Odd. A staff member in the Roath Branch went on to contact the branch whom were managing the property to find out why there was a delay. I was duly told the staff member whom had booked the viewing was not in work and should've cancelled it and that they knew nothing about this appointment. Obviously I was very unhappy over this as I had taken 2 buses to get there on time. Wasting part of my busy day. Roath branch could not show me this flat even though there were plenty of staff available and it was about 5 properties away from the branch in Roath.. As they had no key. The branch whom were actually managing it were too busy. Total incompetence. I am very unhappy over the customer service.

Updated review - this is the second time we've used Peter Allan and the team were just as helpful as they were the first time. Sofie, Angharad, Dan and Luke were just the best. We've dealt with a lot of estate agents in the past few years and they have absolutely been the best by a country mile. Old review - We had our buyer fall through from another estate agent, so we called Peter Allen to see if they could find us a cash buyer and they found us one instantly. We spoke to Sofie who couldn't have been more helpful. She came round to see us as soon as possible and helped get us moving. Really appreciated their professionalism and support during a stressful period!

There was a issue with the contract that Peter Allan provided. The incorrect date was added. It took me over a month to get hold of anyone to resolve the issue and kept being passed between teams. It took around 6 weeks to have the issue resolved and the agreement reissued. Seemed like they weren’t interested once I had already paid for a service.

Definetely awful estate agents. They are brilliant just before signing the tenancy agreement but do absolutely nothing after that. I had to wait three weeks in winter to get the boiler repaired. I called them multiple times to ask them to get in contact with the building manager to have a copy of the key of the bike storage but they did nothing. I called them in May to ask to renew the tenancy and I haven't heard anything. Most of the time they don't answer to the phone or if they answer they will say you "I don't have this information at the moment and I will ring you back once I have it". In mid-June I called them and I asked to have information about the notice the landlord has to give me to end the tenancy. Guess what? They answered "I don't have this information at the moment and I will ring you back once I have it" (shocking! You are a letting agent and you don't know this?"). In any case, I am still waiting for them to call me back. I guess they are still looking for this information. Jordan and Hannah have been brilliant at providing an efficient and seamless service for me as I was tasked with finding a friend somewhere to rent at very short notice. Any questions were answered in a clear manner that made the process extremely easy for both my friend and myself. I'm convinced that Niall Burton is heaven sent! After having listed with a different agency and having no luck we switched to Peter Alan in Canton. As soon as Niall was managing the sale of our property, we instantly felt looked after and were kept abreast of everything that was happening at each stage. Even when there wasn't any updates Niall would call us just to reassure that there was no news and he would keep us up to date. Everything you want from an estate agent, I can't thank Niall enough for all the hard work he put in and we are now finally sold! Jo and her team have been excellent. Renting in Cardiff is a fraught experience at the moment, but Jo and her friendly team were responsive, respectful, and friendly. They carefully listened to my requirements and by luck, had exactly the sort of property I was looking for. On having my offer accepted, we then entered the rabbit hole of British bureaucracy. However, this process was made painless as Peter Alan makes heavy use of technology to move through the renting paperwork, as well all the admin needed to switch over utilities and internet etc. This made the whole process relatively painless. I picked up the keys today and I couldn’t be happier. Whatever you requirements and budgets, you will receive the same level of service. Jo and her team know Cardiff and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The canton branch were absolutely fantastic - I wouldn't use any other agent again! Sofie was amazing in helping to find the perfect property. Sofie was 100% invested in matching my specific requirements and was super helpful throughout the sale and even post sale! Kirsten was also very impressive and was able to find a highly credible tenant very fast! Certain stages of the sale were quite difficult but the PA team were there to support and make things right. As a customer you couldn't ask for more. All round 10/10 experience with Peter Alan Canton branch. Would highly recommend! :)

Having had a previous bad experience with a tenant and not feeling fully supported by our previous agent, we were keen to ensure that we worked with an agent who would consider needs as landlords. I initially spoke to Cameron at Peter Alan lettings and he was a breath of fresh air and positivity, providing great information and carefully taking through our options. We decided to let through Peter Alan and helped by Cameron and Luke, they guided us through the process and we obtained excellent tenants. We are more than happy with the service provided. Communication was excellent and responses by Cameron and Luke always prompt. It was a smooth process and I would highly recommend them as a letting agent. Especially if you are a ‘nervous landlord’.

If you are looking to use Peter Alan for lettings I would steer clear. Arranged a viewing, received confirmation only for them to call to reschedule the appointment. Turn up to view on the rescheduled time for there to miraculously be no knowledge of the rearranged viewing whatsoever. Zero apology and no explanation or care given by the staff on the phone. Will avoid this company in future.

We had an excellent experience with Peter Alan. Our agent Jack was so helpful in trying to find us a place, and in helping us with our referencing process when we were worried about our income. We have a cat and this was the most accomodating agent/agency we've come across in the Cardiff area. In the end we did end up renting another flat that our friends told us about because it had a garden for our furbaby, but Jack was professional, kind and understanding of our situation - next time we look to rent I will go to Peter Alan first, cannot recommend them enough based on our experience with them 🙂PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
