GoogleWould not recommend! I have so many issues with this company, it’s not even funny. Stay away. From gas leak due to badly installed gas hobs to poop floating around our garden and almost starting a fire due to faulty electrical wiring - we’ve had it all.

Good afternoon Josie, we take our reviews seriously. It’s disappointing to read and would welcome the opportunity to discuss further. I would like to reassure you that all our properties have the correct gas and electrical safety records. Maintenance can occur in any property and the office responds promptly and correctly to all maintenance.
If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to contact the office on 02920 226 222 or email admin@2let2.com.

GoogleI'm not the usual type to write a review but when I do it's because the service is like no other. I came to 2let2 to rent a property and the treatment I got I wouldn't look elsewhere. A lady called Visha helped me and I'm very fussy but Visha was very professional and handled my fussiness well. If you're looking for a property to rent or even let then 2let2 is the right place!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleAwful experience. And UNSAFE HOUSE!
They've posted reviews for themselves here to try and make them look better. How many young students are called Susan at present? But yet they have 2 separate customers posting positive reviews. 2 Jason Antonio's too hmmm I smell a rat!
Communication was non EXISTENT. I don't know how many times I sent emails to just have no response. I had to go into the agency on several occasions to try and resolve issues and was tried to be made a fool of every time by their staff, mainly Imogen, as they questioned me over whether I had emailed them. Their reply? We have a team working on it. Had to practically claw our deposit back 4 months after it was supposed to be returned. Refused to leave on what I think was the 3rd attempt until they contacted the landlord who was conveniently not in the country every time I tried to get in contact. Did not fix any of the problems like damp which resulted in a hole in the wall. There was an ant infestation at the beginning of the year and we were told to sort it ourselves even though we had only just moved in. We were charged for not defrosting the freezer?! Which is even more of a joke considering it was so full of ice when we arrived that the door would not close and we had to defrost it in the back garden. Not all the radiators worked, and those that did could not be controlled individually. The windows whistled and were poorly installed with massive gaps making all the rooms drafty. The FIRE ALARMS did not work and after we requested new ones they told us not to try and test them as they were only triggered by heat (this was proven to be false). There was a hole in the bathroom floor and the bath would always leak. The laminate flooring was poorly installed and slats of wood revealed massive gaps. Too many problems and yet still no concern shown by the agency. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

GoogleRooms were nearly a month late to be ready for moving in, insulation doesn't exist, furniture is falling apart, the walls are intrinsically rotten. Back gate consisted of a couple of planks barely held together by a couple of old rusty nails till we fixed it ourselves at personal cost.
Could do better. Should do better.
Edit: Now we have moved out and left the house clean and in better condition than when we moved in, we are still waiting 3 months later for our deposits. These guys are crooks.

GoogleI put up deposit for a student relative (along with other parents, it was a shared student house).
Much had been promised about the house they were due to move into. It turned out to be dirty and very poorly maintained. Showers and other important facilities either did not work properly. I had serious concerns about fire safety. The ground floor rooms were plagued with damp.
Considerable efforts were made to get the agents improve matters but very little was done. Clearly the landlord was not prepared to invest in improving matters and the agents, being beholden to him for their fees were not prepared to do what was required of them. The student market in Cardiff is a captured market and agents and landlords know this only too well.
To add insult to injury, deposit was withheld, some for 'bent bed frames', a very good little earner for landlords, who after all would think to check or photograph their metal bed bases when they move in? Avoid at all cost.

GoogleBe very careful before you sign anything with them. I had to point out three times to this estate 'agent' that the details are wrong. Bond was set to £100 over agreed deal, length of contact was somehow extended by 6 months(?) and moving in date was 15 days later than agreed date.
Another ridiculous problem that I had to face was when I decided to move out. My contract expired so I gave them 4 weeks notice and agreed that I can move out on the 1st of May (instead of 30th) because I couldn't move in to my new flat until that date. I've been told I have to see my landlord about that if he's ok with it. He was a nice guy so no problem.
4 days before moving out I called 2let2 to ask about flat inspection only to find out that I have to be gone by 30th because new tenants are moving in on that day.I asked what am I supposed to do for 1 night only to be put on hold three times.
At this point I had enough of this agency and I managed to move out on the 30th. Few days later I found out that there was no one moving in so they lied just to get rid of me. Flat was still on market for days.

GoogleI would definitely NOT recommend 2let2. My son is sharing a house with 5 other boys which is very poor. My sons room is damp and has even had slugs in the room. 2let2 insist it has had a proper damp proof course but there is no sign of any injection from the outside. The wall inside the room has been coated with a sealant but it has not worked and the damp is very bad. My sons room smells and his clothes feel damp. The fridge is leaking water around the electrical wire, the bathroom light constantly flashes. the Council have visited and said by law they should have either 2 sinks or 1 sink and a dishwasher to accommodate 6 people in the house. Surprise surprise the dishwasher has not arrived. 2let2 will not deal with parents only the lead tenant. Which is no surprise as they know young students who are very busy will not keep pestering them to rectify these faults. Go with somebody like Martins who are Nationwide and have a much better reputation.

GoogleStaff are incredibly rude. One woman hung up the phone on me when I was enquiring about a property. Service is absolutely shocking. If you want anything done with the property, don’t expect it to happen within 2 years. Lived in a house for 2 years with them and received absolutely no help. Had to say it was an extreme emergency just to get them to fix the radiator that had come off the wall and the dishwasher that flooded our entire kitchen and living room. Applying for viewings with them is beyond terrible. Avoid at all costs I’d say, especially students.

GoogleThe property wasn’t bad, but the service is ridiculous.
It took two years to fix the doors that were hanging on the floor, it took months to get a radiator fixed. The gas was depresuring and at one point I was living with a boiler that wasn’t safe and it was genuinely a concern every night going to bed that it was overpressurized and saftey concerns.
The staff were continuously rude and avoided all repairs, the service was beyond horrible it was a cause of stress to the point of just going along rather than trying to find a solution.
On several occasions having random people walking into the house three times, once at 9pm whilst in bed the landlord was trying to enter without notifying prior.
An estate agent broke the door trying to force entry. Locking me in.
I went to get a set of keys and the estate agent said that I had to wait till 5pm for someone to let me in, whilst I had luggage outside the property.
The saftey concerns reporting the broken washing machine that was smoking till finally one day whilst asleep the machine caught on fire I thought it was smoke from construction but only on checking feet closing windows and the smell of smoke was too strong I checked the kitchen to make sure I hadn’t left something on and the kitchen was filled with smoke from the washing machine breaking down then they finally replaced it.
Reporters leaks were ignored. The property is in a good area, but the saftey the ignoring the stress it was worth it if you ignore the other issues but if you want saftey and service avoid it.
They are just there for the money, only when I withheld payment did the issues get addressed.
They are leeches you Will get tired

GoogleI was offered a one bed flat by 2let2 for over a year or so . There were no issues with the flat at all and the only one thing was a jamming window which the agency fixed same day. GoogleWorse letting agents in Cardiff, these company are the most racist letting company I’ve ever seen in the whole of Wales. Imagine them requesting i and my partner give one guarantor each before we can let a 2bed property, I even told them my partner reside in London and he visit during holidays, they responded he have to pay 6months rent if he won’t be able to offer a guarantor. I feel there should be an organization in UK that regulate the inhuman character of all this letting companies for wicked acts. Just because I’m black I’m not entitled to let a 2bed in peace so sad, most cruelty acts of all.

GoogleIf you are a student letting a property for the first time, I cannot stress how much I would avoid 2let2 if possible. CPS has a really bad reputation and honestly, I know other students who have had less issues with them (aside from one house who were forced to live with rats).
I have recently entered a contract with Condor Properties and the difference in customer service is night and day. Actually being able to speak directly to a representative through WhatsApp is both reassuring and helpful. During my tenancy with 2let2, we had no way of speaking directly to the Landlord, which meant that when the utilities had not been cancelled from the previous tenant, for months I had to endure the stress of receiving overdue payments unassisted, which eventually exceeded £1,000. Following a conversation with the supplier, they began to send letters addressed to our landlord, but as I had no way of contacting him, they were never passed along. Conveniently, after a while of the old supplier trying to reach our landlord, the company had the names of all the tenants, despite us never opening an account with them. So instead of proactively helping us with the utilities, our landlord simply provided our names and distanced himself from any responsibility.
The lack of contact with the landlord was not the only issue, the organisation and administration at 2Let2 is an absolute shambles. Firstly, the property was not ready at the date they provided, there were still tradesmen in the house doing work, using the electricity from the previous supplier that we were expected to pay. Considering we were students who never had any experience with renting a property, they left us completely in the dark (no pun intended). Secondly, they provided us with the wrong keys to the property, some of us had two front door keys, two room keys, or room keys that opened other rooms. After I had spent some time working out which keys were missing, they made the process of acquiring the right keys a massive ball ache, and kept referring to their records as 'correct', and insisted on me sending photos of every individual key, instead of just taking my word for it. As it turned out, their records were not correct. During this whole process one of my housemates didn't even have a front door key.
Shortly after this, one of our housemates had to drop out of university, so we needed somebody to replace him on the joint contract. This process is arduous and difficult to do when your financial guarantor is not in Cardiff, and was prolonged by 2Let2 providing the incorrect forms for this procedure.
Finally, they will try and rinse you of your deposit at every opportunity. They will tell you to take photos of obvious damage such as cracks and missing tiles (and at our property there were plenty before we moved in), but things like dirty mattresses and lightbulbs aren't mentioned. I'm sure they've probably fined every tenant since the first for the same mattress stains, I always use a mattress protector so it didn't even occur to me to photograph the mattress in the event of a fine. To add insult to injury, whilst every cleaning fine was completely justified, the house is undergoing an extension and walls are being knocked down - so being fined to clean these areas is not honest or transparent at all and is just an excuse to withhold your deposit. Speaking of withholding deposits, they will try and catch you out on council tax, even though if you're a student you are not obliged to pay it. They knew we were students and yet they withheld deposit until we provided our certificates of exemption, and it wasn't until I said that we were not liable for the one non-student tenant, that the process moved along.
Overall, I'd give a 0 star rating if I could, however, the maintenance team deserve a mention. They deserve 5 stars in all honesty, they sent tradesmen out 7 days a week and they were always friendly and attentive. They are miles ahead of the letting agency itself, and don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush.

GoogleAVOID !!!!!! Would leave zero if I could. Please please avoid these vile people at all costs. They do not care about tenants. No matter how much you plea with them they are the most unreasonable, unprofessional people I have ever tried to deal with in my life. You can never speak to a manager to try and sort any problems. Once you have signed you may as well forget any future help. They push you to sign and lie constantly. Please do your homework and look at the awful reviews of this company there’s many more if you do a Google search. Absolute bunch of cowboys

GoogleI would give 0 stars if possible!! Absolute sham of a company, please if you are a parent of a young person/s avoid this company, they will do all they can to avoid talking to you, will not give names of managers/people responsible, do not resolve issues, withhold damage deposits for no legitimate reason, do not understand the concept of data protection or 3rd party authority, the list goes on. Avoid at all costs.
