GoogleSuperficially friendly, but mostly incompetent.
Don't provide a good service to tenants. Wanted to find out specific details about the property before renting it. They promised they'd contact landlord to find out but only did so after 5th phone call to harass them. Tried to make us sign an inventory before we had moved in and thus before we had the chance to check the state of the property and its contents in detail. Explained I would not do this as it was a legally binding contract - they then rang my partner and tried to convince him to do it! They tried to play down the significance of the documents - if something in the house had been previously damaged and not mentioned on the inventory, we would have been responsible for it.
It's a landlord's market, so you don't get to chose your agency as a tenant, but I'd recommend tenants stand their ground with these guys and check all documents carefully before signing anything.
Moving out soon. Hope we get our deposit back without too much of a fight.
If you're a landlord with any scruples, please consider using a different agency.

GoogleGenuinely awful. I co-rented a house with them for my second year of uni and I'm choosing to go back on campus next year rather than ever deal with a letting agent again, because this place is just that bad. We're constantly sent the wrong information over email and phone, we go into the store and are reassured that everything will be dealt with, but it never is. Every email we receive is in all capitals and often making threats that we're going to lose our house if a payment isn't made -- when that payment has already left our accounts and gone to YourMove. We're sure we're each owed a couple hundred pounds still, if any of the staff are to be believed (I wouldn't recommend believing them) but we're just giving up on it. Dealing with this company is like talking to a brick wall. Everyone is very friendly (when they're not getting your name wrong) but what good is that when nothing they say can be trusted? It's been a genuine nightmare and I can very safely say that I am never going to use any branch of YourMove again.

GoogleTook them forever to reply one email. I understand that they might be busy dealing with other clients, but replying one email 1.5 week later was a bit ridiculous. In addition, I specifically asked about their international bank transfer details and they only gave me their UK account number and sort code instead of IBAN, swift code, bank address, and account holder name. And of course, those details took me another week to fetch.
Furthermore, their agents put the wrong numbers for deposits and first month rent and it was very unprofessional. For example, the monthly rent was 1500pcm for 3 people and they mentioned in their emails that each of us pays 210GBP for first month rent.
To be honest, with them making so many mistakes and being unprofessional overall starts to make me wonder if their IBAN number and swift code are wrong too. I hope my deposits and rent managed to get into the right account
Would not recommend anyone to use this agency.

GoogleUsed them for 6 years. Difficult to deal with, often change their mind. They lost keys to property I was renting, telling the landlord that they have never received it. I'm glad I took a picture when handing the keys in, asking one of the agents to sing it.. At least I had a proof and didn't have to pay a lot of money for lock replacement.

GoogleNo respect for tenants’ time or money. Everyone here has a terrible work ethic and if you want them to do their job you have to chase them up countless times. To make matters worse, they are just plain rude. They will ignore correspondence and do the absolute bare minimum required of them as “lettings agents”. Don’t give a penny to these jobsworths.

GoogleYour Move Canterbury are an utter joke and if possible, I would strongly advise that you seek the services of an alternative agent. It is very rare that someone actually answers the telephone and when they do, promises are never met. Calls are not returned. How the staff and management at this office manage to keep their jobs is far beyond me.

We lived in a house with a faulty oven for most our tenancy and action was only taken once we threatened to take legal action. So many other issues as well.

Quick update - by ignoring the issue the matter overboiled and the case is now being handled by the police, whereas Your Move could have acted quickly to avoid this.

Shown around property by an agent who was blatantly lying about the property and was making awful comments about the seller. Avoid.
