Rude Staff - Mice Infected Properties - Un-professional

The property myself and my housemates have moved into, has a mice infestation, with the letting agent showing little to no interest in the health hazard.The staff are rude, and unprofessional when talking to residents, myself and my housemates have had several arguments/shouting matches with the staff over a variety of problems, mice being one, which is a problem we still have, and signs in the house suggest this was a problem before we moved into the property.The staff are highly unprofessional, outright rude when talking to tenants.AVOID USING STUDENT PLACES!

Trying to get this company to carry out maintenance work on a property they are supposed to manage seems to be like pulling teeth and i am just a neighbour! Hope they don;t take this long for their own tenants. Caroline takes at least 2 months if she ever does to reply to emails and then still nothing is done. Perhaps try to manage the properties correctly in the first place then you wouldn't receive complaints

Unfortunately student places front of staff are rude and treat students like a piece of dirt on the bottom of their shoe. We've had no issues with our landlords but the receptionist has consistently been rude. We keep our house very clean and have never had issues with inspections. Unclear rules regarding 'general wear and tear' as every bit of damage we had pointed out at out at our moving in meeting was called "general wear and tear" but any further accidents (one stain on carpet) we had were not classed as this and we were threatened with being charged by the receptionist- despite already having discussed it with both landlords and agreeing that we would clean the staining! Luckily we do not have much longer to have contact with this woman. On a positive the house is well decorated and kept well by the landlords and we have no issues with them.

Compared to all the other student letting agents I've heard of in Canterbury, Student Places have really been great. All points/clauses in the contract were explained well during the signing process, and it didn't feel like I was signing my soul away to the devil. In regards to problems with the house, any issues we discovered were usually fixed within the day, if not by the end of the week, at no extra cost to ourselves. Because of all this, we've decided to sign on our house for another year!

Massively con students out of money by offering a pathetic discount to not move into the properties when initially agreed. Illegally passed on tenant’s private information to billing companies without permission and incredibly rude and brash customer service. Unclear communication between letting agent and tenant. Avoid this company.

Have rented a great house from student places for two years. Any time we have had any problems they visit either that same day or the next day. The people coming to the house are always lovely. Emails are always replied to on the same day. We've had a great experience with student places. Definitely recommend!!

Be careful of signing contract whilst awaiting grades . Caroline took 2 months rent despite my daughter never received any keys or moved in and refused to refund. I found Caroline very rude and such a bully . The property had 5 rooms and she got 3 of the student to sign then tried to let out the other rooms after . Not a good company

Treated us like garbage. Talked down to us, never apologised for mistakingly accusing us of things that were, in fact, caused by their own disorganised approach. Never did anything with the mice running in the house we've told them about multiple times. "The gardener" that we were supposed to have was in fact just a guy cutting the grass and leaving the weeds around the garden overgrow freely.
