I try to purchase 675k asking price house in Ringwould Dover and offer 730k to Miles and Barr on wednesday. They ignore my offer and I see on rightmove that is sold 2 days later on next friday. I offer 800k the same day it goes as sold on website on the friday and they ignore me. They ignore my request for photographs on the wednesday I make first offer previously after telling me property needs renovation so I ask for pictures and they pretend I dont exist. Virginia cannot spell her own name correctly in emails to me no effort no photographs atroce no use again

We were communicated with once a week until our sale started to progress. At which point we had 2 or 3 calls a week to update us on progress. Which gave peace of mind also. Very happy with the updates we received and the communication from the agent. Went as far as ringing us on days off to make sure we stayed in the loop. Would definitely recommend.

Patience and Perseverance

A buyer was found within 2 days of getting on the market. Once we had found a property to buy it took far longer to reach exchange than we had anticipated but all the problems were caused by our lenders poor choice of conveyancer causing serious delays. Other than that the sale process was pretty smooth. The use of of a sales co-ordinator definitely helped keep everyone up to date and helped progress things.Emily Stickler regularly kept in touch and co-ordinated everything very well particularly towards the end when time constraints got quite hairy and tense.

We had great experiences with all agents we encountered at miles and Barr throughout our search for a home. When we put an offer on the home of our dreams they were very easy to deal with. Louise our negotiating agent was brilliant from accepting the offer to exchange. She was fully transparent through the process and was on hand for all our questions. Simply wonderful.Would also like to mention Finn and Joe who showed us around houses, they were great to deal with, great service and didn't try and pressure us on any houses.

All credit goes to AMY WHIFFIN -[now with Miles and Barr, Folkestone] who continued with the ethics of her previous company-Advanced Lettings.She was professional , helpful, always prepared to find solutions-important as we live 250 miles away. It took finance at M+B over a week to remit the rent each month.It also took M+B a month to advise us that our tenant had gone into a nursing home-already notified by Folkestone Council on 19 January? Buying my property was a long process. Not the estate agents fault. However, Becky white kept me informed throughout the whole process. She gave me advice when she thought I needed to contact the solicitor and had a calm way about her that made you chill when is said it was all progressing nicely.

To Rent, OR Not To Rent, that is the question…

Praise be to Jenny Harmes, Miles & Barr Lettings Manager, Thanet.I would have given up on the whole process of trying to rent a property through the Miles & Barr agency - from being faced with a viewings agent who knew nothing about the property, having been in the job for only 2 weeks, to THE MOST torturous on-line application process, dealing with “The Lettings Hub”, + an off-shore call centre, blah! blah! blah!- were it not for a phone call with Jenny. Knowledgeable, patient, answered all my questions - no matter how often I repeated them - and set my mind at ease.In this digital age, why has renting a property become so difficult & convoluted??!!?? Our entire lives are on-line, takes about an hour to check an individual’s bona fides: 10 days with Miles & Barr…….Jenny I rate 4 ⭐️. The rest of the renting experience with M&B, 2 ⭐️. Average 3 ⭐️.

Ramsgate have been great

Ramsgate have been great. Sold my late parents home and found a buyer for our home. We agreed a price on a new bungalow with Broadstairs ………and had the carpet pulled from under our feet four days later. They were still taking offers on the bungalow we agreed to buy. Will probably cost Miles and Barr two sales now. Would have been better if Ramsgate had dealt with both sale and purchase.
