Been there 13 years as a landlady and Paul Hughes -responsible for lettings never disappointed me. The service is very good and they manage to find me good tenants, drama free, and I feel they have my back. Any issues, if ever arisen, are immediately dealt by Paul in his calm, collected, friendly manner. It's everything a landlady wants from an agency.

Deeply Disappointing Experience, Strood Mann Sales and Letting Agents

Our experience with Mann Sales and Letting Agents Strood has been deeply disappointing. As someone with experience in leadership, I can confidently say that the issues my family faced clearly stem from leadership, as the agency has failed to take accountability for their poor service. The signs were there from the very first calls and continued all the way through. Appointment punctuality and coordination were major issues from the beginning. Scheduled viewings were consistently delayed, leaving us in uncomfortable situations and forcing us to personally show prospective buyers around our property. This lack of punctuality and disregard for our concerns was unacceptable. This not only inconvenienced us but also left us feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable. Moreover, prospective buyers also expressed dissatisfaction with their poor experience e.g left waiting outside properties, unclear instructions and poor communication.Transparency regarding the terms of the sole agency contract was also lacking. Critical details, such as the length of the agreement, were not adequately discussed, leaving us feeling misled and questioning the integrity of the process.Furthermore, the advertising of our property on Rightmove and other platforms was subpar. We were left to request enhancements and updates, reflecting poorly on the agency's commitment to effective marketing.Despite our attempts to address these issues, the agency has refused to take responsibility and has closed ranks. Even after following the 'official' complaints process, they have refused to allow us to alter the length of the contract or even to move to a multi-agency agreement, which is a basic and straightforward solution that can easily be done and has been advised by other professionals in the industry.I strongly caution against entrusting your property sale to Mann Sales and Letting Agents Strood. Should you decide to proceed with them, heed this advice: never concede to a sole agency contract, demand meticulous attention to the advertising of your property, and scrutinise every detail of the contract, particularly its duration. I firmly advocate for a contract length of no more than 4 weeks or 28 days. Furthermore, be resolute in avoiding coercion into utilising their in-house financial services. Despite our repeated insistence on retaining our trusted brokers, Mann Co persistently pressured us until we were compelled to inquire whether our decision to use our own brokers would pose a problem, emphasising the importance of asserting your preferences firmly.Overall, our experience has been disappointing, and we hope our feedback prompts Mann Sales and Letting Agents to reassess their practices, processes, and procedures and strive for improvement in the future. Now, we find ourselves left to wait out the length of the contract as they refuse to alter it. As a family with two young children, aged 2 and 4, it's evident that our needs have been consistently overlooked and disregarded throughout this entire ordeal.

Mann Lettings in Canterbury have provided me with the best service I had in many years. Especially Paul Hughes and Rafaella Kyriakidou are two of the most communicative, efficient, reliable and pleasant people I've come across. I have let my flats with various agencies and I'm with Mann the last 4 years - any problems are easily solved, as a landlord, I'm immediately informed, presented with options and the work is carried out. They are both on top of things and the most important is they get me tenants 6 months in advance. It's rare to find a good team and to build that trust and I can honestly say that these two are making a huge difference to MannCountrywide and to the relationship the agency builds with their landlords.

I was going to wait until the end of our student tenancy to review Mann but I am certain the service will never improve, so why would I wait? Mann Lettings will consistently let you down. I don't know whether it is because we are students that we do not get a good service, but if I could give them zero stars, I would. The staff lie to you, the staff contradict each other, the staff make promises they can't keep. No one seems to know what is going on - and that's just the letting agents. Hussam Nurie is the best thing to happen to the company, but there's little he could do for their reputation. Mann Prop - the organisation that is MEANT to look after you and the repairs in your property - are abysmal at best. 6 months in the property and we still have a front door that does not always shut properly and missing panels in our garden fence allowing people to just wander on to the property. We were without a washing machine for a month and nearly scammed into thinking we would have to wait another 6 months (luckily I kept the quoting guys number). The most recent drama is Mann Prop's belief that water leaking from a light socket is "not an emergency" and have left it for two months for the ceiling to fill up. My roommates and I have gone out of our way and spent our own money to fix issues in the house, to replace broken items in the house. Stay away at all costs.

Worst estate agent, whole company is full of scam (its mortgage advice, solicitor panel). They have taken advance payment of £399 for solicitor search and £798 for mortgage for my potential buy. Later the seller pulled from process and I have asked for refund, but they are not refunding my money. This is worst company in the UK to deal with property, mortgage, solicitor panel.

We had a leak from the flat above over 6 months ago which they denied was happening. Danny Kelleher from the Canterbury branch came out straight away to see the problem and to try and help resolve it. Hayley Morgan was also very helpful and kept us informed what was happening. Though this problem took a long time to resolve Danny and Hayley saw this through to its conclusion and could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend them.

THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE, WORST, NOT HELPFUL especially PAUL HUGHES I don’t know how he’s the “Senior Branch Manager” but he was EXTREMELY RUDE AND TERRIBLE to me, and my husband. We went through THE WORST HUMILIATING, DISCRIMINATING, DISRESPECTFUL experience with these people. They kept on lying and lying with different stories every time we call for an update. They care-less about our housing situation even though when we kept explaining and providing evidence with to and their Liar of a referencing company. THE MENTAL TRAUMA we experienced with paul and lauren I wouldn’t even wish that on my worst enemy.
