Moving home is always a pressured experience especially when you are selling and buying out of Kent.I want to commend Shelley Webster she was a life line through out the process for me.She is incredibly knowledgeable, consistently professional with superb communication skills. I was aware of where I was in the process at all times. I was also impressed with Jade Gunn who initially assessed my property. Incredible service from Miles and Barr - everything was hassle free from the first viewing to getting my keys. My Sales Progression contact, Emily Stickler was professional, trustworthy and personable, I always felt we were on the same team. I love my new home. I am eternly grateful for the platinum level service I received as a buyer.Emily was the epitome of professionalism, courteous, trustworthy and reliable. She always made me feel like we were on the same team to get to exchange. There were a number of issues in the final week before completion. Blake was amazing at showing us round properties. We weren’t by any means the easiest buyers being picky with all our requirements but Blake showed us a property which despite looking extensively we hadn’t seen on any of the online portals which really was exactly what we were after. Never use again - Steer clear

Would never use them again, horrible communication, attitude and service. Incompetent throughout. Information was never passed to us and had to chase on multiple occasions, culminating in sellers refusing to hand over keys whilst Miles and Barr staff watched on despite calling us earlier that day to hand the keys over advising which we weren't the legal owners which was odd as our keys were handed in minutes later. After handing our keys in to them they simply watched a seller refuse to pass us keys after funds had cleared and hour earlier. Ridiculous company no backbone.

The agent that took over from the sales Team when the sale was agreed, was excellent. I would recommend Denise but the sales team were not good on communications or following instructions which should have been on my records such as not to call on Thursdays or Fridays and to email instead. Initially I felt the team did not promote the house sale until Miles and Barr were given notice due the lack of expectations given from the valuer. A buyer as found within a week after giving you notice !

The worst estate agents I have ever…

The worst estate agents I have ever come across. Be VERY careful if you intend to use a member of their solicitors panel they will charge you £150 to simply instruct a solicitor of their choice, the solicitors' charges will in no way be competitive and they will charge you and additional £60 to complete a money laundering ID check which will then not be recognised by their solicitors and therefore will be required to be carried out a second time...... BEWARE!!

I have been extremely impressed with Miles & Barr from start to finish. I’m a first time buyer and little over a year a go I never thought it would be possible to buy my first home. I’d like to mention a special thanks to Gary Wale and Denise Eccott, both who went above and beyond to make this sale happen. Gary was excellent in finding a lender for me on the market which made my mortgage affordable, without him I wouldn’t be able to have done this. Gary’s communications were on point and humanised in a way I would understand as someone with no experience in this process. Denise also went above and beyond to get this sale through, excellent communication and constantly chasing both solicitors who made this a particularly difficult sale for us. The initial meeting with Blake was excellent, very informative. Sadly that didn’t continue once it moved to the selling team, communication following viewings was slow and didn’t improve much. Didn’t get told that sale was agreed STC and that was the reason a viewing had been cancelled until I queried why viewing cancelled 3 days later. However once sale agreed we then moved to Senior Sales Progressor Rebecca and her service was excellent, regular communication, help with queries or concerns. Very pleased.

All the way from Toronto Canada, we wandered in to M&B. We are looking for a small vacation place. We met Brooke Handley and she has been extremely helpful with our search. We have only a very short time here, and we know very little about the area and about the real estate process in the UK (spoiler alert - it is VERY different than in Canada). Brooke made us feel immediately welcome and despite the limitations we imposed, she was able to set up four showings in one day on EXTREMELY short notice. She even highlighted and quickly got us into a very new listing which fits all our criteria. She has been very helpful answering our numerous questions and walked us through the process of purchasing a home here in Canterbury. She followed up the viewings with a phone call to find out our feedback and refine her search options. All-in-all it has been an excellent, positive experience.
