Following selling/buying multiple properties over the years, it is fair to say that the team here were miles ahead of any estate agents I have come across. I got regular updates and they found me a buyer when previous agent failed to do so. Miles and Barr are extremely slow in putting forward offers., They use a different team for this and an offer can take anything up to a couple of days. I as a buyer haven’t got time to wait in a market like this as you risk loading other properties. I would not use them to buy, sell or rent as their tenants also aren’t vetted thourghly.

Constantly lied to during our selling process. Unable to contact when they don’t want to speak to you. We have changed agents*update*. Why doesn’t that surprise me ?! Speak to the Dover branch. They will update you. Albeit their biased version 😢

GoogleEmailed about a viewing (and specifically said I was a student), rang to arrange this viewing as I missed a previous call, they then arranged a viewing for me and my partner (who works full time) then asked me my occupation. On saying I was a student the woman on the phone said we could not view as my partner's wage could not cover the full rent for the year (when in reality his wage could pay double the rent for a year without any help from me). The woman then went on to say no students are accepted when I made it very clear in the email I was a student and only to contact if we could view this house with this in mind .Useless, what a waste of time. Didn't even get referred to another landlord or estate agent that might help house us, just a goodbye and a hanging up of the phone .

GoogleGreat Service which is more than can be said for quite a few other estate agents in Canterbury. Buying with Miles & Barr was as simple as it gets. The offices were clean and the team very polite warm and welcoming. As this was the first time i was buying i was quite apprehensive as i wasn't 100% sure what was involved and when i approached other estate agents in Canterbury i left feeling more confused than when i arrived. Miles & Barr immediately put my mind at ease and explained everything. As a result i found a house and paid market value and are now in the process of moving in! i couldn't thank the team at Miles & Barr enough! Highly recommend!

GoogleAn estate agent to avoid! Having had an offer accepted, the sales progressor was instrumental in us eventually pulling out. Even warned the manager to take them off the sale, but took no action. Poor people, property back on the market, oblivious to Miles & Barr's incompetence.
