Buyer really beware!! Absolutely read ALL of the small print and make sure to get a structural survey carried out on a property before committing to buy. I was the winning bidder on a house that was advertised with a completion timescale of 6 weeks or earlier to be able to arrange a mortgage. It wasn’t until I applied for a mortgage that I found out that the house was of a non standard construction and to be able to get a mortgage it needed a PRC certificate and to obtain said certificate the house requires around 40-50k of renovation work carried out on it!! If I were to go ahead and spend this money it would take a lot longer than 6 weeks to do it with no guarantee I’d get a mortgage. Absolutely criminal yet the estate agents don’t care and will totally deny all wrong doing as they are not legally obliged to mention the non standard construction unless specifically asked. I have lost ALOT of money and a house that I loved!

GoogleMarino Costi assisted my family with the sale of a late family member's property at auction. The process was quick (under a month from instruction to auction), surprisingly straightforward with no lengthy questionnaires to complete, and we didn't have to wait for probate to be granted in order to sell at auction. Marino reassuringly kept us informed and guided us through the auction process. We were delighted that the property achieved over our reserve price, and over that of the marketing valuations provided by other high street estate agents. We also have the reassurance that the buyer is committed to the sale and the purchase price as contracts were exchanged on the day of auction. GoogleThey are a good agency and very helpful. In the midst of the pandemic, some agencies act funny not sharing correct information or discriminating people for viewings for money but McHugh is always polite and provides a quality service. I've been with them for 2 years and I highly recommend their services for their quality and trustworthy services.

AVOID!!! They are a con. They don’t tell you about hidden fees which is there but cleverly disguised with words rather than digits. Once you pay there £1k they brush you off! I ended up paying 6k extra to the seller which wasn’t mentioned at the time of buying also have to pay the sellers solicitors fee! The house we Bidded on and won had subsidence and the legal

GoogleI bought Houes in auction from them and they show only small charges , but when I bought I found that I have to pay 1- 2.7% of the total price 2- £600 3-£650 All this charges wasn’t clear it all : -It was it showing in Terms&conditions -wasn’t showing or mentioned under the description of the property , which all auctioneer show it or mention at lest for other charges - wasn’t showing or clear in their auction guide online And only was showing that charges in small print between 12 documents and each documents it has more that 8 pages They should show it Be careful

Be very aware of Witten clause in the special conditions that agree the buyer to Pay either 2.75 % of the sheller legal fees or £4750.00, (of which they don't have to show any evidence) They will always go with the higher of the two sums. It is very miss leading that in classes 8 and 9 these are outlines as far lesser costs only to be superseded later. I would say this is Almost criminal. They could 100% make this clearer and be more upfront that these fee's would be paid to the Seller on completion. You can't help but feel that these are hidden costs

Google*Zero rating - be very careful* Be very careful when buying from this auction. they deliberately put very low guide prices and change the guide prices last minute. ALWAYS CHECK THE 'SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE' for hidden fees and many times they dont sell the full title. Many times they sell property with part of the title. You will only find out when its too late. BE VERY CAREFUL ALWAYS GET A SOLICITOR TO CHECK THE LEGAL PACK BEFORE YOU BID FOR ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY.

GoogleUnscrupulous and Shady. Spend hours researching and doing leg work on a property only to find guide price is raised by over a hundred percent on auction day. No problem if you want to price it that high, but why waste my time and resources enticing me at an unrealistically deflated price in the run up? Often properties that listed with this company are bought months prior to auction at prices much higher than guide,. A check of zoopla will confirm this. The guide price is nonsense. They are Cowboys, wasting people’s time. Will no longer use.

GoogleCalled McHugh & Co to check if they had received my pre-auction offer for a property (£5k over the guide price set) and it was answered by a rude person called Marino - he basically laughed at my offer and refused to even send it to the vendor because he said "there was no point" - he took it upon himself to decline my offer. I made my offer based on the reserve price. Why set low prices and waste peoples time? NOT WORTH DEALING WITH THIS JOKE AUCTION!
