We have moved quite a lot and have dealt with several estate agents over the last 10 years. Tucker Gardner are by far and away the worst. They are the absolute pits. They cannot do even the most basic things properly. Literally nothing. Every interaction we had with them throughout our tenancy was needlessly painful. The have a completely rotten culture and are a truly terrible company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Update - unsurprisingly trying to get our deposit back from Tucker Gardner has been a nightmare. NEVER EVER MOVE INTO A PROPERTY MANAGED BY TUCKER GARDNER. Life is too short.

I was initially sceptical about this agency after reading the reviews. However, my experience with TG Cambridge was mostly positive. In the beginning, there were some minor problems, such as the wrong keys from some doors were provided, and the apartment was not perfectly cleaned. However, the issues were mostly resolved in a matter of days. Megan and Millie were particularly helpful and very polite throughout the process. The welcome pack for the tenants was a nice surprise. Billie, the property manager, was very helpful with the issues I had during my tenancy. I moved out two months ago, and the move out process was quite smooth as well. The terminations team were flexible and quick to slightly extend my tenancy twice, the viewings were organised in the convenient for me time and the property was inspected quickly after the vacation, with the whole deposit returned. Having had experience with two other agencies in Cambridge, this one was rather smooth.

I instructed Tucker Gardner to sell my flat in Cambridge. Unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing. Communication was poor throughout, updates were infrequent, usually only when I chased, and there was very little proactive feedback about enquiries or viewings. After a month on the market with no progress and no clear explanation of why a sale wasn’t achieved, I’ve now had to put the property back on the rental market. I expected better professionalism and visibility from an established agent, and this fell short.

This is the worst letting agency I have ever come across in the UK. They only know how to lie and shift responsibility. The damn landlord has owed me money for almost six months, and I’ve made countless phone calls and driven back and forth, wasting an enormous amount of time and energy. I’ve spoken to many of their staff, but they just keep passing the buck and ignoring my requests, hiding behind polite words while doing nothing. Even the smallest matter can take them weeks, until you are forced to lose your temper. Once they receive their money, they stop taking responsibility for you. It is an absolute disgrace. What’s even more ridiculous is that their inspector offered me £100 as compensation, this doesn’t even cover my parking fees over the past six months. I don’t need that small amount of money; I just want more people to know not to use this terrible agency. As a local in the UK, I’ve already been treated this badly, I can’t even imagine how impossible it would be for an international student to deal with them.

Tucker Gardner Lettings is probably the best and most professional letting agent in Cambridge. I recently rented a house through a lettings negotiator at Tucker named Manjula Kanakaratne. I was so lucky to meet him as he was extremely supportive from the start when he showed the property virtually to when he communicated about contracts and finally handed over the property after thorough inspections and repairs. Before meeting them, I talked to almost all other letting agents in Cambridge and sadly they were not responsive and the process was hard as I was moving with family. But goodness me, Tucker is absolutely at another level compared to other agents. I would highly recommend them and specially Manjula who is such a lovely person to work with.

After a slightly shakey start, when communication could have been better, I was very pleased with the service of Tucker Gardner in the sale of my property. I was particularly impressed that Niall went far above and beyond by driving to Manchester from Cambridge to deliver papers which were lost in the post and I felt Ben, in particular, was very good at keeping me updated. There were points when it felt as if the chain might collapse but the combined efforts of Tucker Gardner, my solicitor and the estate agents the other end, have led to me having moved successfully.

I rented an apartment at Tucker Gardner and it was a great experience. This is my first time renting an apartment in Cambridge. I really want to give a special thanks to Manjula Kanakaratne and the property manager, Billie White-Fensom. They are really caring. They helped me solve a lot of problems. When I was overseas, Manjula Kanakaratne made everything very easy and much less stressful than it should be. When I emailed him, he responded very quickly. If he needs my reply urgently, he will take the initiative to call me. When I moved in, Billie White-Fensom helped me with many problems; her service was very professional, efficient and caring. She reads my email inquiry carefully and responds promptly. The Tucker Gardner service team also provides comprehensive management services, which makes my life easier. I highly recommend Tucker Gardner, Manjula Kanakaratne and Billie White-Fensom. They will be my first choice for house hunting in the future, and I am very lucky to have met them.

Absolute joke of a company. Called 3 times in one day, with the people working there promising to call me, and send me and application. Neither happened. Called the next day, and was told that the last viewings for the property were that day, and the landlord required a meet (online meetings were apparently not an option, during a pandemic). There is no way for me to get there in time, and that crucial piece of information was never given the day before.
