Professional and personable
I dealt with Simon Kelso at Seymours Guildford. I had requested a valuation of my property. Simon was friendly but also professional and businesslike. He also fitted in with our date and timing preference.

Scammy Woking agency charges premium price for sticky-tape kitchen and Mouldy flat
We were viewing a flat that is considered to be premium. On the viewing day, it looked alright. After viewing, one of the agents asked us to give him 5 stars review which is same as any 5 stars review you see on this agency. These are fake reviews because as after we gave the review, they treated us like GARBAGE.

Awful morals and ethics avoid at all…
Awful morals and ethics avoid at all costs! We have previously experienced awful moral practises after placing best and final bids on a property. A week later after we won the final bid on a property. Seymour’s called back to advise competing offer had since offered over our asking price! HOW is this ethical?? I
Hi Sophie, we can see how frustrating this experience must have been. To clarify our process: we use “best and final” offers to try to create a fair framework for all interested buyers and the seller. However, we are legally required to submit every offer in writing to the seller, right up until exchange of contracts (unless the seller has given us written instructions to the contrary). Ultimately, the seller makes the final decision, not us. It’s their home and their choice. That means if a higher offer is received after a final deadline, we are obligated to pass it on and the seller can choose how to proceed. We appreciate this can be disappointing, and we’re sorry if our communication didn’t make these legal obligations and the implications of final offers clear enough. We’re reviewing how we set expectations.

Hugh thank you to a wonderful team at Seymours, Burpham & Merrow
As an overseas home buyer of a semi-detached with an onward chain in Burpham, Guildford who managed to reach the milestone of exchange contracts about 2 weeks ago with the help of local real estate expert - Seymours located at Kingpost Parade, I consider myself a very fortunate buyer who is so grateful to the support and conscientious services rendered by a team of professionals from communicative sales negotiators, responsive administrative staff, and experienced empathetic senior management directors. I will definitely enlist their services if I sell my house in future. 5 stars and highly recommended!
We're glad to hear you had a swift, polite, and empathetic experience that led to a positive conclusion. We appreciate your feedback and support. Thank you Francis.

Communication could have been better
Communication could have been better. There were a number of issues throughout the course of the sale which could have been handled more professionally. They did eventually get the sale over the line but it was all somewhat last minute and stressful.
Thanks for the review. We aim to get things right every time, so reviews such as these are so incredibly important as they allow as to understand better and to make changes for the future. Thanks again.

Every case is different. Ours was very long and frustrating at times. However no fault of the estate agency. During this period we had excellent guidance and advices. Zoe the manager was exceptional. She was always easy to reach out and pretty much solved all the problems that came along. We are very grateful to her and the whole team. Thank you.
Hello Ashik Gurung, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback.

Selling your house is a daunting…
Selling your house is a daunting prospect. That said, Seymours was the first choice to guide us through the process.I met Simon who came across as friendly and really knowledgeable about the local market with many years of experience in this field. The sales guide price was pretty much as expected. The pictures were taken a few days later by Mark who made a great job of the brochure. The whole team at the office were on board with the marketing of the house and, to my surprise, 7 visits were arranged within the first full week. The communication from the office was amazing. Emails arrived detailing every visit booked and there were regular calls with feedback and updates from the office. Overall a great service was provided by the whole team. The house was under offer in no time. Again, the background work carried out at the office, was extremely thorough and they constantly updated us on the situation.Whilst the wait for completion goes on, the whole team could not have done more to help with the process of selling a house. With the service received so far, it's no wonder they are the leading agents in the area by far
Thank you so much Pete. We're thrilled to hear that the team were able to guide you smoothly through the process and keep you updated every step of the way. It's great to know that our efforts in marketing and communication made the sale process easier for you. We'll continue to support you as you move towards completion.

I would not trust this company
As far as I am concerned they should not get one star. The owner came and gave a verbal valuation of £310000 - £320,000. Due to certain circumstances he had to send this valuation to another party. This valuation he told me then increased to £362,500-£375000 in his letter to the other party.Once I was sent a copy of this letter I called this same person from Seymour’s Lightwater for an explanation and why he lied to me. Three times I called and guess what, I never had a call back. I would not recommend this company.
Thank you for your feedback Anne. We feel it’s important to address the concerns raised in your review, as they do not reflect the situation accurately.A senior partner provided a fair and realistic valuation based on market conditions and comparable properties in the area. At no point was a lower valuation suggested to suit specific circumstances. We also provided a written valuation to the third party in question, which was in line with our professional assessment.Regarding your calls, as we’ve explained, we are unable to get involved further in this matter beyond the valuation we have already provided. If you are still unhappy with the valuation, we would recommend engaging a RICS-qualified surveyor for an independent assessment. We aim to provide transparency and fairness in all our dealings, and we regret that you feel this was not the case.

Our house move with Seymours
Seymours Knaphill and Woking have been on a long journey with us. First they valued and marketed our property. A buyer was quickly found. They listened to our buying requirements and shared potential properties to us early and we quickly found somewhere that we fell in love with and made an offer on. The chain broke a couple of times but Seymours pulled it together and nursed us through it. We finally moved 2 days ago. Although Seymours haven't helped with the unpacking ( ;-) ) they gave excellent selling and buting support. Thank you!
Wow, there's not much left to say other than thank you so very much!

Great service
The sale went very smoothly. We felt we had great service from the team. They delivered what they said they would. Amy at Seymours Woking kept the sale alive with regular updates and communications. Very happy.

EXCELLENT ESTATE AGENTS
A very proactive practice that always kept me informed of developments during the house sale process. The initial property listing was excellent and generated far more viewings than expected.I would definitely use them for my next property sale and cannot speak highly enough of Simon and his team at Seymours.
That's really kind, thank you. It's been a pleasure to work with you and share the journey. Keep well.

What a fantastic experience we have had from Ian , Jeff and Mark from Knaphill branch of Seymours, and Dan from Woking branch, with out their dedication we wouldn’t have sold our home or been able to buy our new home, these chaps are amazing, we would and will always highly recommend them if you are thinking of selling or buying a home .. thank you so much to you all for your support and help , you’re great.

Aaron and Femi has been great from start to finish and helped rent out our property. They were open, honest and didn't make any unrealistic promises. A special mention to Aaron for having a plan and transparent communication through out the process. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
Hi Som, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!

paid for professional dishonesty & guinea pigging!!
As a seller, I paid them to negotiate the best price for me. However, I was not buying my next property through them though they tried to sell very very hard from their catalogue. Hence I believe I was made the scape goat to do price reduction to complete the sale !.
Dear Mr Perin, We can find no record of you as a client and therefore believe this review may be false. As such, we have passed the matter to Trustpilot to help verify your identity. The comments made are wholly untrue. If we are mistaken, please contact us directly, where we would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss your experience. Firstly Forget your deposit
Firstly Forget your deposit, The professional end of tenancy clean is a joke. Even though the property was deep cleaned it was still not good enough, it has to be on their terms and will cost £300+ for the smallest of properties we had (Par excellence cleaning) . Still waiting for that deposit, 6 weeks and counting, i had to chase ! God knows what a larger property will cost. Throughout my 3 and a half years of renting i never missed a payment, maintained the property to a high standards even though there was a constant mole issue which was never resolved and some scam cleaning company comes and takes your hard earned cash. When it comes to maintenance and tenant issues It’s always someone new you’re dealing with & no clue what previous issues were. Good luck you will lose at least 50% of your deposit probably sitting in an end of year xmas party pot.

Poor attention to detail, delayed purchase
I completed the purchase of a property in June, having had an offer accepted in February. A large part of this delay was down to the poor attention to detail by the agents at Seymours. When I viewed the property they were ignorant of some basic details (heating system, parking situation, ground rent, building maintenance arrangements) which other estate agents (such as Bourne) had on hand when viewing similar properties. Despite having made it clear to Seymours that, since the property was a leasehold flat, it was very important that I be able to see the terms of the lease as soon as possible, they dragged their feet in getting hold of it, with the result that the purchase was delayed considerably when my lawyer found problems with the lease, especially with the buildings insurance clause which the seller and Seymours actively misled me about.I still went through with the purchase, after securing a reduction in price and some indemnity insurance, but the purchase took far longer than it should have done simply because of Seymours showing a lack of attention to detail and not having accurate information at the time of viewing and after making an offer.Having viewed other properties listed with Seymours I encountered the same lack of basic knowledge about the properties by the agents (I often knew more than they did, having done basic research such as looking up the EPC certificates beforehand), and I generally got the impression of agents who were only interested in getting an offer accepted for the property and then ceased to be interested in putting the effort in to get the sale actually completed.I don't know how much commission they charged the seller but whatever the commission was it was too much for the service provided. If you're selling a property go with a local competitor like Bourne, who at least show an attention to detail.
Dear Mr Potter, Thank you for taking the time to write; we are sorry to hear that you feel you have received an unsatisfactory service from our office. We take our business very seriously and have taken your feedback on board. We deal with numerous sales every month and normally receive glowing reviews. However, we always continuously strive for excellence. We would like to extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or frustration that you experienced, As a new manager in the office, I will call you to discuss measures we can take to ensure that this situation does not occur in the future. Kind regards Nolan Dark.

Very attentive, well informed, friendly & not pushy! Anthony White was extremely helpful & is the reason we have this house as wouldn’t have even looked at it without him persuading us to! Krisy was also excellent with her after sales care & keeping in touch.
Thank you so much Jaydee. Reviews are so important for the team.

Aaron is the best (Woking)
Aaron is the best! He was thorough and professional and great to work with. He kept us updated about available appointments and always let us know as soon as a new one came on the market. He was honest and forthright- no games. We felt lucky to find Aaron 3 years ago and since then he is the go-to for us at the branch in Woking.
Hi Kerry, Thanks for taking the time to review our services. Aaron will be pleased to hear your comments. We have a saying at Seymours "Your Property Partner For Life" now knowing that you've been dealing with Aaron for the past three years its quite fitting!

Tom was very helpful in all aspect of the purchase. He let us show builders round the house and understood why we wanted to re negotiate the price after the uh restrictive covenant was presented to us. All in all a good experience and nice touch with the candle.
It's been my pleasure. As a company, we don't like to think of ourselves as selling houses, but more as moving people on their property journey. The course of that journey is very often different and assisting with builders or dealing with covenants and negotiations is all a part of the rich tapestry. Thanks for using us Paul and thanks for the review.

Living in Malaysia and buying property in Knaphill
Living in Malaysia, we decided to move to the UK. For over a year, we searched for a suitable property in the Surrey area. We discovered Knaphill by chance, thanks to the Airbnb house we were staying in. Although we contacted several agencies in Surrey, we always prioritized Knaphill. Among the property agencies we reached out to, Seymours stood out as the most efficient, persistent, and honest. The two directors, along with their staff, were not only personally forthcoming but also always willing to assist us and help overcome various problems.Seymours' Knaphill branch exceeded all our expectations, making it possible for us to purchase the house we had always wanted.
Thank you for sharing your experience Baum, we're delighted to hear that we could help you find your ideal home and meet your expectations. It was a pleasure assisting you through the process. If you need any further help or have any questions in the future, please feel free to reach out.

Hi K Al, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Seymours Estate Agents Camberley. We're happy we could meet your expectations!

Organised a viewing for a rental property in Woking over e-mail, which was not polite in tone. I arrived on-time, and atleast had a phonecall to inform me the agent would be late. I met with the people who had the timeslot after my viewing, and had a minor chat with them. When the agent eventually arrived, he completely ignored the other viewers and when (rightly) called out by them, fobbed them off as one of his colleagues problems and dismissed them. Upon attempting to enter the property, we could not even gain access as the agent did not have keys for this property, which also indicates that they would be useless in any emergency access situation. The buzzer was also broken, another indictment of their maintenance. Agent did not have a contact for the tenant prepared, and had to contact two colleagues just to get a phone number, of which the tenant was not in at the time and would not be back for the day. A sorry indication of their communication standards. At no point was I offered an apology or rebooking opportunity either in person or afterwards via e-mail or phone call (not that i'd want one after this) for an utterly wasted day, having travelled from Portsmouth. Rude, no respect for my time, no professionalism in either email or in-person and zero organisation. Would not want to deal with them again after this.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention Alex. We sincerely apologise for the poor experience you had during your recent property viewing . This is not reflective of the high standards of service that we strive to maintain. We pride ourselves on delivering professional and courteous service to all our clients, and it is clear that we fell short of those expectations in your case. The issues you encountered, from the level of communication to the lack of organisation on the day of the viewing, are unacceptable and do not align with the level of service we aim to provide. Please be assured that we are taking your feedback seriously. We will be conducting a thorough review of this incident, including addressing the conduct and preparedness of the agent involved, as well as the communication breakdowns that occurred. Your experience highlights areas where we need to improve, as we want all people that interact with our business at whatever level to have the same positive experience as most of our tenants and landlords as reflected in a significant number of our reviews. While we understand your reluctance to continue any further dealings with us, we would like to offer our sincere apologies once more. If there is anything we can do to rectify this situation or if you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your feedback as it helps us to continually improve our service standards.Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in the future.
