I was helped by Royston Floyd who did every piece of paperwork and contact with owners etc, very quickly. This just took a lot of stress usually produced in this search to be non existent. Disrespectful and Desperate, Data Breach

We viewed a property and after loving it in person offered a cash offer of asking price their and then. Within the same hour, I got a call from the agent who shown us round to be told it was going to Auction. I checked the listing, and it didn't mention auction, but this was updated the next morning. The estate agent had every opportunity to call us to inform us it was an auction property. It seems we had a lucky escape since we have found out the property has had two collapsing sales, for such a desirable area and its price point, these are huge red flags. I called the agency first thing during the morning after our viewing at 9am, to say we aren't interested, we viewed a property to buy not to be told until after viewing it that it was auction, oh and it get's better they tried to make out it was a good deal, yeah a deal that would cost us 4.5% of a minimum of 6.600 in auction fees that we never knew of until afterwards and would never have considered had we of known this information before the viewing. I said, please don't get anyone to call me, but the auction company called me anyway, I tell them we are not interested. I have since had two more calls from the auction company ( which i understand is a sister style company to this agency ). I've had to block the number and inform my solicitor of a data protection breach, as I said I did not want to speak to anyone from auction. Also had a call in desperation from the agency saying oh the price has dropped. " Firstly, no it hasn't because of the fees; secondly, we said we were not interested, why was this not respected. I have never heard of this agency before we did the viewing and I wouldn't be surprised by the many low reviews; they will be able to continue in business much longer. Hoping this review grabs their attention because this is what happens when you harass someone. Don't follow correct and legal protocol and respect people's privacy.

One of the worst company i have ever dealt with. I was booked to show a property. However, when I arrived there, no agents or anyone around to show me. I waited almost 45 minutes and knocking on door but there was noone to show the property potentially i was going to buy. I rang them which went repeatedly into voicemail. I emailed the agent who booked me in saying i am outside the door but not received any correspondence. They did not call me on that day to see where i was. They did not inform me that they will not be able to show me around. They have mislead me and lied to me. According to Trading Standards they have been in breached. The branch Manager have been very awful to me, no professionalism and did not resolve this issue. Infact kept on lieing to me saying his colleague was at the property when he/she wasn’t. The manager was talking over me would not believe me the fact i was at the property on time to my appointment and waited 45 min But there was noone at the property. The manager further stated they called me and left voicemail however I received no calls from them. I asked for a proof to show me they have called or they were at the property but he would not show me stating he does not need to show proof. This company is a scam including the workers in Halifax branch are scammers and bunch of liers. I request everyone please do not go for this company whether u want to buy or sale. They are not trustworthy and certainly they have such a poor customer service is unbelievable. They will waste your time and money and they will not show you property. If they can do this to me they will do to everyone else. This company needs to be banned or needs to be brought into CEO or director attention as to what they di and they are getting away with this. I will further report this to property ombudsman and financial ombudsman and trading standard authority.

(Make yourself a cuppa if you are reading this, to note I don't leave 1* reviews lightly, most of the time if I wouldn't leave a 5* review I don't leave one at all because everyone has off days don't they?! I did try to explain to her my difficulties getting to speak with someone and her reply was: "well you're speaking to us now aren't you." But,when it comes to selling homes for people it is important as this type of service can effect how people are able to move on with their lives and have a huge impact on people/families involved. We have been trying to get hold of someone at Bridgfords to view a property they are selling on Wentworth Drive since Saturday (Today is Tuesday). They tried to call me yesterday twice within the same minute, (aren't mobile phone call logs great!) they did not leave a voicemail. I rang back within 5 mins and the call went to their voicemail, I left a message. Tried to phone them later in the afternoon, went to voicemail again. The house in question has been for sale for a while and I am not surprised with how obstructive Bridgfords are! I have phoned them again this morning (11am as still no response from the message I left them 24hrs ago. Spoke to a female member of staff who asked for my address to which i started to tell her and i told her we only live round the corner but we want to downsize. After i'd finished giving my address she asked "why do you want to move to a house thats just round the corner?" So i told her "As mentioned it is because we want to downsize." To which she replied "oh i must have missed that bit." Again,no apology. Id recommend a customer service course for this woman! She then asked me when I could do viewings so she could speak to the vendor; any evening or weekend I reply - oh no she says we are doing the viewings so it has to be office hours. What are your hours I ask? Mon - Fri 9-5 she goes. Please could we do 9am on Tuesday then? (6 days away) She replies: no, we don't start work that early 🤣🙈 Then she says she can speak to the vendors and ask them if we could do 5pm that day? I said that may be difficult as we have an appointment at 5:30pm Halifax town centre, could you do any earlier? Any time at all that day? She says, No my diary is full but doesnt offer any other options whatsoever! I took this as a sign this house is not for us! Why ask what my availability is when yours is so limited? Surely give me the times which you can do and I will then let you know which of those we can do?? It's no wonder you don't see many Bridgfords For Sale signs about. If you are the owner of this property I'd advise switching to a less restrictive and more helpful estate agent, with customer service skills. All the others we have spoken to in Halifax have been fab.

I had very nice experience with Bridgfords and their excellent coordination from beginning till get the house key. So far I moved to 3 homes but never seen such a great/nice letting agent and their hassle free processes and always truth with the customers without hiding anything, very much appreciated. I wanted to say my Heartly thanks to Sarah Newsome who is part of Bridgfords and engaging with me since from scratch and all her kind support top notch, inputs and understanding the customer requirements were excellent. I never seen any person that much humble / honor with the customers and always provided me the prompt responses to all my clarifications and extraordinary guidance / inputs. We met Lee Johnson from Countrywide without any knowledge about house buying or what is needed to make it happen. He enabled us to create our credit profile as we had never had credit before and needed this to get a mortgage. He told us everything about getting the maximum we can afford from our salaries, making sure we had the best mortgage provider/rate and also ensuring that if anything bad was to happen, the house and our earnings would be covered and the house would be paid for! Amazing work by Lee Johnson. Lee was extremely accommodating and approachable while booking appointments or when we have any doubts about the application process. Gave detailed info about mortgage application- this was especially helpful as we are first-time buyers with no idea how loan application works here. Our experience purchasing a property with Bradford Halifax has simply been flawless. Our viewing appointment was quickly made and we were refereed to Mr Lee Johnson their in house Mortgage Services Consultant. Lee is top guy. He supported us with a joint mortgage application which was initially turned down by Nationalwide but quickly secured a good mortgage offer with NatWest all under 2 weeks. When Natwest interest rates reduced slightly after our original offer Lee was in touch again to inform us about this and the potential to re-negotiate at the new rates whiles the lawyers complete property searches. We will certainly be going back after 4.5 years to re-mortgage with Lee's support :)

Process was made simple and easy by the Bridgfords team. I’m due to move into my new home less than two weeks after first viewing. Excellent service, I cannot recommend strongly enough how friendly, helpful and efficient they have been. They went over and above my every expectation. We was definitely an awkward customer as I was on maternity leave going into a brand new job once going back to work, and my husband self employed. 1 Star is too many stars in my opinion...

I approached Bridgfords and Michael Poole last year to see about selling my late fathers Bungalow. I found their sales tactics to be a bit off, immediately trying to upsell me services I personally felt had no value, insisting it would make every difference. I begged to differ and having a bad gut feeling about them and a positive experience with Michael Poole I chose Michael Poole instead. Then came the phone calls trying to get me to switch and saying they would do a better job. After the second phone call I made it clear I was definitely not going to change my mind and asked them to remove my number from their records and not call me again. I received several other phone calls 2 or 3 weeks apart from each other and after repeatedly asking them to not call me again, the final call I received I told them (not very nicely) that if they contacted me one more time I would report them to the police for harassment as I had made it clear on several occasions I didn't want them to contact me. My advice to anybody looking to sell a house is don't even contact Bridgfords for a valuation. You can look at my review of Michael Poole to see how I found the service from them overall if you want to. The date I have recorded as my experience is the date of the second from final phone call i received as the final one was from a mobile so I cant be certain of the date without calling a few numbers to check. I have purposefully waited for the property to sell before leaving this review.

would not recommend this company to any landlord. The fees are extremely high, with additional charges that are not always made clear from the outset. Communication is poor, and it is often very difficult to get hold of staff when you need support or answers. The contractors they use are also significantly overpriced, leaving landlords with unnecessarily expensive maintenance bills. For the amount charged, the level of service provided is disappointing. Overall, my experience has been frustrating, costly, and poor value for money. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I purchased a property from Bridgfords in December 2025. They have been holding the keys. I arranged my own contractors to start renovating the property. Bridgfords decided to change the locks without my consent and knowledge, I have been chasing them for almost a month now to get the money refunded back to me but it has been a struggle and a battle. Do not use this agency as they cannot be trusted and are horrible and difficult to work with. STAY AWAY FROM THESE INCOMPETANT, GREEDY MONEY GRABBERS
