The sale of my property has been very challenging and has taken much longer than originally anticipated. This was due to complications with the prospective buyer and the fact that it is leasehold property. However, the staff at Haarts Estate Agents in Bury St Edmunds have handled the entire process brilliantly. I would like to say that the entire team, especially Nadine Smith and Melanie Mills have kept me informed at every stage, chased when needed, and stayed calm and reassuring throughout. Their dedication and prompt and professional service have made a huge difference to a very stressful situation, which was no fault of my own or theirs. I am very grateful for the service they have provided to myself as their clients and their support.

I am sharing this to all women considering using them. I have sat on this, but feel I should say something and share my experience. It doesn’t feel right to say nothing. Last year I used the Bury St Edmunds branch. After I had signed up with them I started to get completely inappropriate text messages from the guy who I signed up with. He would message at like 11pm on a Saturday night asking what I was doing and he wished he could pop round and watch tv with me. In another text he said he was annoyed I wouldn’t flirt with him. When I saw him a couple of times he would ask to hug me and say I should consider a younger man. It was so uncomfortable and inappropriate. I later found out from my neighbour that, from the description he gave, he had done this to someone and she had not used them because of it. I don’t know it was him. This sale could not go through quick enough for me, it was so intense and uncomfortable. I hated ringing the branch, I dreaded any contact with them. I did call head office about this, during my sale, and I was advised to email the regional manager, I did and he never contacted me back, so they are clearly fine with it, but I wasn’t and so any single ladies, use someone else.

Me and my partner have been looking for our first home, Haart have been brilliant during the process. We have found our home, just unfortunately not through Haart. However, Beth has been amazing, regularly contacting me for/with updates and houses. We did view a house previously with Haart and thanks to Beth the process was very smooth. The viewing we had with Isobel was great too, she was very pleasant, polite and professional. We would definitely consider Haart to buy/sell a house with in the future! We didn’t have great experiences previously with Estate Agents so it was lovely to have experienced the wonderful service at Haart.

Haart Bury St Edmunds were very helpful from the very start of our house search and were the by the far the best estate agents in terms of communication and proactive searching. Beth would call me most weeks to check how our search was going and I felt she was the only estate agent that was really trying to help us find a property.
