GoogleAttitude of the lady on the phone when I asked on behalf of my friend about how to use the boiler. There's no instructions and it's on a timer. It does not explain how to change the timer. She said either we send an engineer out but you have to pay "so the can explain how to use it" making them feel so stupid on the phone and then said "or go on Google and look it up" I checked up online and found this. In the UK, a landlord has legal responsibilities under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and related housing laws to ensure that heating and hot water systems are in working order and that the tenant can use them safely Landlord Must Provide Instructions If the boiler is not self-explanatory, the landlord should provide basic instructions or a manual. Telling you to “Google it” or pay for an engineer yourself to explain usage is not reasonable or safely. Misuse of a boiler could be dangerous. Landlords have a duty to ensure tenants can operate appliances safely. Not renting with them but never will. This phone call was with the estate agent in Nicolas Humphrey burton branch.

GoogleI've rented through Nicholas Humphreys for over 7 years. I've always found them to be efficient at contacting the landlord and resolving issues when there's been a problem. They have always been respectful when carrying out property inspections. More recently when my landlord decided to sell they handled this sensitively and professionally. They helped me to find a new property and I found Eileen to be particularly supportive at what was a very stressful time. Amber went out of her way to help us with a viewing of a rental property. Annie and Victoria were both very considerate about arranging viewings around my availability. I've nothing negative to say about this agency based on my experience in dealing with them.

GoogleThis refers to the Burton-on Trent branch: Very happy client! We had dealt with NH before (for rentals), and this was the second time that we had sold a property through them. We dealt with Dave for the valuation, and he was excellent - professional, helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately, the market was very poor at the time (mid-2023) and there were various hold-ups (not their fault), which led to delays. BUT Victoria and Dave worked hard to get it "across the line", last week. Many thanks to them, as well as Simon and Annie! Recommended - 10/10 !
